“The original question stands: How can something that hasn't even been implemented be the cause of our ruin?”
Todd Malone on Nov 21, 2013 at 11:50:55
“But it has been implemented. March 23, 2010. Granted, it hasn't been FULLY implemented yet because Pres Obama has delayed the employer mandate. Many suspect he did that so democrats can try and divert election disaster in 2014. Nearly half of Americans get their health insurance from employer, and if they were to lose their current plans the way so many have lost their individual plans, he knows the democrats would be negatively impacted in Nov '14 elections. (and Obama knows Americans, including those who get coverage through employment, will lose their coverage.)
All the consequences of this government takeover of our healthcare system have yet to be fully realized, but early signs are not looking good; you gotta admit that.
It's a tragedy when someone doesn't have proper insurance to cover their health care needs, but the answer is NOT to impose compulsory collectivism. The answer to is leave people free to share and help others as they choose. I believe that what belongs to my neighbor is not mine to share, and I believe people should be left free to help and share with others as they choose to help and share. ”
“Oh, and if we aren't allowed to talk about Bush as having anything to do with our current troubles, then how in the world can you blame today's Democrats for what happened 50 years ago?
(What is WRONG with you people?!?!)”

“"you" people,,,, rather racist isn't it?? and what point are you trying to make? that it's ok to change the basic philosophy of the majority rule as long as it's what you want now? what happens when (not if) the repubs regain the majority. will you be happy with the results??”
“How can something that hasn't even been implemented be the cause of our ruin? Millions were canceled yearly BEFORE the law was passed, anyway, and left to bankruptcy when they got sick. Why weren't you outraged then?”

“"Millions were canceled yearly BEFORE the law was passed"
AND Obama PROMISED us he fixed that... Didn't he, or was he lying?
If you like your plan, you can keep it. PERIOD!”

“That assertion is not true. An overwhelming majority of individual health insurance policies were guaranteed-renewable for life. Furthermore, the contracts stated that the insurance company could not single out an individual for rate increases based on claims made or changes in health status. Not every policy came with that guarantee, but most did. (the cheap plans did not have that guarantee. Unfortunately, many of use opt for cheap and then blame the provider of the service or good when the product we bought doesn't work the way we wanted it to).
Your assertion is a popular one, but it's simply not true.”
“Kim is the daughter of the late, world-famous white lawyer named Robert Kardashian. She was born rich. And Kanye is a loudmouthed braggart. Rethink your assertion as to why 'white people' aren't fond of either of them. (Hint: it has nothing to do with race)”

“Truth, and both are no-brainers, that is why many do not like them. The SNL show pointed out brilliantly how empty these two are.”

“We live in a terrified and terrifying society. Fear breeds the need for fear, and it is only going to snowball. I truly wish I could afford to get out of this place. And to those who say 'don't let the door hit ya....', etc, please send donations to me...cash only. Thank you.”
“Well, then he certainly did a fantastic job at faking almost falling off of the top of the wheel. I also recall looking to my left at the spotter, who was showing the same expression. Great acting all the way around.”

“Of course it's possible you were witnessing a near accident, but not very likely given the thousands of performance done without major trouble.”
“I saw Cirque about 10 years ago from the front row. The performer on this show was outside the wheel and obviously struggling for a few seconds to keep up with the rotation. This was on a relatively small stage, so if he fell, he was coming right at me. During his struggle to recover he looked down at me with the widest-open eyes I have ever seen. He looked frightened. I was doing all I could to simply not move at all so that he wouldn't lose it completely. It seemed like a lot longer than the five or so seconds it actually was. These people put their lives on the line every show.”

“And yet we have the same reaction when the car in front of us stops suddenly at 80 miles an hour.”
HouseOfMirrors on Nov 3, 2013 at 01:34:16
“Ahem....Cirque performers are ACTORS, not just daredevils. "Outside the wheel and obviously struggling". Nope. The "struggling" and "frightened eyes" you witnessed were all part of the routine.
Think of it like this. If what you say were true, then how is it possible that the Wheel of Death had been performed during KA at the MGM at least 4,000 times without major incident?”
“The reason FOX does better in the ratings is that Rupert Murdoch long ago decided he would GIVE his station to cable systems at no charge to guarantee a large viewership. That's why they consistently are at the top.”
“If they've both 'offended the world', then touche'. Only one of them started two wars while giving the very rich a tax cut - which effectively wrecked our economy. Your conflation does not work.”

“And within our country, only one party is anti women's choice, anti marriage equality, anti pay equity, and rejects every single gun control measure... the murder rate in America has tripled since the Stand Your Ground measure was enacted.”
“I have insurance. It doesn't affect me. You change your point from post to post. I can't tell what your point actually is, if you even have one. Considering the fact that you basically only said 'dems' and 'HAHAHA', you are clearly here to trolI. Good luck with that.”
“I bet if she were to sing softly the baby would react differently.”
Mary Mclocke on Oct 30, 2013 at 16:12:27
“I think she should definately try that, though I do see something that I have never seen before and I have raised 9 babies - this baby DOES appear to be reacting with emotion, like she is "feeling" the meaning in the lyrics. Perhaps mom sang during pregnancy enough that she does "get it." I have heard of it more than once, but this is the first time I've seem it that I can remember. (if that is indeed the case as the story implies.)”
