Communists are Back in Africa

Commented Mar 9, 2010 at 13:45:01 in World

“Whenever people discuss Africa, I inevitably ask this question: why is sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) always failing?
Despite the billions of dollars poured into it and all the other global assistance programes, why is SSA still failing so badly?
The answer to this question should help everyone interested in helping this part of this continent achieve a serious understanding of the reality there.
Sub-Saharan Africa is failing because the entire infrastructure of leadership, elites, politics, power, wealth and other vital entities for the existence of any nation are absent.
They do not exist.
Think about this, and then say you want this or that for Africa.

“i think that is the case. also the problem is many of the people who are entrusted the loans or grants are self centred. few of them think of their countries and the majority of their well being. how can someone expect to see changes?I believe the solution to this problems is only for the donors to sucrifice their time to make a followup on whether the money is being used as intended.”

“What exactly has this lady done for ukraine?
What will the new president do for Ukraine do?
Because the state of the Ukraine is a non-state.
The Ukraine is a myriad of powerful gangsters ans mafia mobs.
It is them, that rule.”

“Only for Israel does the world remain silent on this assassination.
Because the perpetrators are the Israelis and no one in the world dares to criticize Israel.
Look at this silly story.
Obviously, Israel murdered this Hamas man. Everyone knows that.
But the world is trembling before Israel.
No one dares to directly say to that racist 'state': "You are murderers".
Why is the world scared of the holy state of Israel?”

TheLonelyGod on Feb 25, 2010 at 16:35:19

“Maybe the world is happy to see justice done.

Maybe the world recognizes most of them would do the same thing in Israel's position.

Why do you assume "the world" is scared, and then presume to speak for them?

Why don't you tell us why *you* think "the world" is scared of Israel?”

Dispatch from Congo: 'We Are Being Exterminated'

Commented Jan 28, 2010 at 14:09:17 in World

“Africa, or sub-Saharan Africa, as the UK journal said, is 'beyond hope'.

If we desire to be 'Politically Correct' then we will regurgitate the same rubbish that Africa will soon prosper.

But, I am not a Politically Correct person. Sub-Saharan African Will simply NOT prosper until it severs the Politically Correct myths that they clothe themselves with.

Simple example: in what way is Haiti a 'country'?

It is not a country. It is a piece of land that is governed by local chiefs, war lords and so on. And until you Americans realize and are no longer ashamed to admit that fact, then you can 'help' these fragile so-called 'countries'.

Ayad Gharbawi”

niko73 on Jan 28, 2010 at 15:07:40

“Wow, is that all we need to do to save Africa? Just "sever the politically correct myths" and like magic, things will get better?

I disagree about the future of sub-Saharan Africa. They need is good leaders to step up, leaders who care about their people and stop the petty tribal squabbles and corruption. Give Africa about a dozen Nelson Mandelas and they will make real progress. Then get out of their business and stop pumping aid money to their corrupt elite. Things are looking up in many countries with decent leadership (Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, etc). I've lived there for four years, so I'm talking from experience, not from political correctness. I wonder how long you've stayed there to gain all that infinite wisdom.

By the way, Haiti is not governed by chiefs and warlords. It is governed by the IMF, World Bank, CARE, and World Vision. The international aid machine has taken over every aspect and function of government and civil society. The West has a stranglehold on all basic functions and as a result calls most of the shots.”

Davos 2010: The World Is Broken

Commented Jan 27, 2010 at 14:11:45 in Business

“You Americans must talk with your perceived enemies.

1. Any country has 2 choices, with respect to its enemies: either you talk to them or you do not talk to them.
2. Fine. If you choose you do NOT want to talk to your enemies, then that means that you are seeking a total victory over the enemies that you do not wish to talk to in the first place. This occured during World War 2.
3. Fine, is this what you want, you Americans? A war of total victory over Taleban and the Al Qaeda (AQ)?
That is for you Americans to decide.
4. Now, in case you feel that a 'total victory' is beyond your means, then it would be surely wise to begin talking to your enemy.
5. Short of total victory, you have no choice but to talk to your enemies.
6. But you Americans are simply refusing to 'talk' to Taleban or AQ.
7. Therefore, you are trapped.

“Israel is a country that is based on the principle that only Jews are allowed to live in it. That is the Zionist ideology. Why can't the non-Jewish world understand that Israel is a RACIST state? Israel and Zionism clearly say ONLY JEWS can live in Palestine which God supposedly granted them because they are 'God's Favourite & Chosen People'. And yet you in the West stick to your Politically Correct politics because you all know that Israel is a racist state. But you in the West cannot say that. Why? Because your jobs would be threatened by your bosses.”

Nym22 on Jan 25, 2010 at 17:48:08

“How I love witnessing amateur historians ramble about the inherent racism of Zionism and supremacist tendencies of Jewish self determination.

Do yourself a favor and read 'Righteous Victims' by Benny Morris or 'Jerusalem in the Twentieth Century' by Martin Gilbert. After you have a handle on the scholarship presented there, you may want to graduate to some more philosophically-driven Martin Buber texts on the nature of Zionism.

Believe me, if this conflict were as simple as you have painted it, the Palestinians would enjoy much more support than they have.”

ninabeth13 on Jan 25, 2010 at 15:09:39

“if israel is such a racist state, why did they fly in tens of thousands of ethiopian jews, at great expense, to live in israel? have you ever been to israel? i have, and i can tell you that the population is extremely heterogenous racially, with people of all skin colors. most of the people i saw there had relatively dark skin, because there are so many yemenite-moroccan-iraqi-syrian etc jews who were kicked out of countries where they had lived for many centuries.

and what do you mean only jews are allowed to live in israel??? i suggest you study more about the middle east before making angry pronouncements. there are many arab citizens in israel, including some in the parliament, and they have exactly the same rights as jewish citizens. in fact, arabs in israel enjoy more rights and less repression than arabs anywhere else in the middle east!”

mommamia526 on Jan 25, 2010 at 15:05:18

“On the other hand, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab States are nations whre only Arabs and muslims are allowed to live and practice their religions, and if NOT, when, then, of course...out you go. OR, if you are not the RIGHT KIND OF MUSLIM, car bombs drive into your mosque and kill the worshippers. IF you live in IRAN, and you are not goosestepping in step with the current government, and your name is Neda, then, well, of course... In Israel there are mosques, and churches and synagogues. The Bahai religion isrepresented and free to exercise its religion. There are chrisstians and Palestinian jews, christians and muslim living inside Israel. Israel, however, is the country, the one country on this earth, where there is a refuge from persecution for jews, where they is a government and an army to protect jews, as well as all other Israelis. As jews constitute a very small percentae of *bosses* in *The West*, your remakrs are totally idiotic.”

Mr. President, Lead Us Out of the Afghanistan War

Mr. President, Lead Us Out of the Afghanistan War

Commented Jan 24, 2010 at 12:16:38 in World

“Why Obama/America should leave Afghanistan:
1. This is an on going civil war and it is up to the Afghans to finish it out.
2. Taleban and Al Qaeda (AQ) are not the same. Taleban have offered to speak to you Americans, you have refused.
3. That country has never been 'ruled' by any one ruler or government. It has always been run by a mixture of warlords, tribal leaders, sheiks, imams, gangsters etc. Therefore, you will never be able to 'control' Afghanistan.
4. Even if you physicaly remove every Taleban from that country, they will simply return from all of its neighbouring countries.
5. AQ can and will flit from country to country and from cave to cave. AQ is made up no more than a few hundred operating men. The rest are anyone they can brainwash to be a mass murderer.
6. The solution is difficult for you because, in truth, you need to leave your colonial outposts, from Afghanistan, Iraq, your ally Israel, the Gulf and only then will you see no more hatred against Americans.
7. It is precisely your colonial policies that create hate. Why don't you use your mighty powers to educate and help build infrastructures in these countries and act neutral instead of going in with your killing machines?
8. And it is not just you Americans - every colonial power in History, had to fight against those it occupied and you too will continue to suffer.

Listen to Ordinary Africa

Commented Jan 23, 2010 at 13:48:04 in World

“I do not understand why West Europeans and North Americans are so severely caged within the Politically Correct etiquette on certain sensitive subjects - and one of them, is certainly, Sub-Saharan Africa. The fact is that every single so-called 'African state or nation or country' are simply not countries. That is fact number one.

Fact number two: every Sub-Saharan African 'state' is nothing more than a geographical entity that is ruled either by a one dictator and/or a mixture of tribal leaders. Each leader has total power/control within his geographical region.

Sub-Saharan Africa simply does NOT have any infrastructure that we can define as any civilised nation needs. What does that mean? Well, it means, that Black Africa has absolutely no roads, no bridges, no telecommunications systems, no educational institutions, no medical institutions and most IMPORTANTLY, these Sub-Saharan African states have only ONE very successful function: and that is sucking in money from whoever is idiotic enough to give them money, and, of course, that money is soon stashed away in secret European bank accounts.

Now, at what hour or at what moment do you Western people realize these grim facts of Sub-Saharan Africa?
