“Yes they did-and they are still doing it. And folks are gullible enough to fall righ into it. The media put that silly kid picture of him up for a reason.Half the people arguing this thing know nothing about it.
BTY-I hope you spend as much time and energy blogging the thousands of other tragedies in this world,or do you think this is the only one? Where is the media attention and the protests for the countless of other children(not grown 17 year olds) killed every year?”

“I dont think anyone is saying Trayvon deserved to die, at least I dont read it that way. I think its more of a response to the way the media first portrayed him as a little boy and thats the image that many folks try to paint him.”
“Yeah-Ill be the one getting yelled at alot here! Haha. Ill be around. And your posts are always insightful-and yes feisty!

“I get "yelled at a lot" here myself. But I'm tough - can handle it. LOL and I'll def check out the sites you suggested. Will report back! Thanks! :) Have a groovy day, my friend. :) :) :)”
“It would make me nervous too-maybe nervous enough to call the police, having a cell phone in my hand and all.
Honestly Im not picking a fight- Im simply saying there is more to this story than some mean old guy picking on a kid. The 911 transcript shows when TM spotted Z watching him he started to approach Z with his hands in his waist band-What does that mean.I dont know but it could have been intended as a threat(like I have a gun). Maybe not-may not have meant anything. It will all come out. If I saw a guy walking through my neighborhood at night in the rain,I may keep an eye on him too. Would I follow him-no. But maybe we should let ALL the evidence come out before we convict Z.
At any rate can we agree that it will be nice when this is over??”
“I was referring to the OP's "trigger happy" "restrict guns" banter. I have kids and Im fully aware of kids meandering the neighborhood. Being followed can be unsettling and even scary. But after living in an area where unsettling things have happened I can tell you it can also be unsettling watching someone meandering in the rain while dark. Z says to dispatch that TM is acting strange-what does that mean?Believe me Im not necessarily a Z supporter, but he did everything Id have done,up until the time where he got out of the car. Why did TM run away? Z wasnt out of the car yet. TM had his hands in his pockets. Was he armed? Hindsight answers and tells us he shouldnt have. But in a different situation Z could very well have saved someones life- a kid has a gun looking for trouble. That does happen- How differently would people think of Z then.”

“Martin didn't have a weapon and he didn't have his hands in his pockets while talking on his phone and carrying a can of tea and skittles. He only had two arms.”
“Yet no proof that he wasnt- exactly the problem. Look-I was being a being facetious- Its funny reading posts from folks ready to string up a guy that has been made out to be a monster. As I said-Was TM armed? No. Was he looking for trouble? Doest appear so. We know this now-but didnt at the time Personally I dont believe Z had any business following this kid, but IF this kid was armed and IF he was looking for trouble, Z could have very well stopped it. Perhaps still not right to stop him,but how much different would public opinion be on Z.”
“Actually my post is just a poke "get a rope" clan. Since you asked- I think hindsight is a great thing. Looking back,no it was not right to confront the kid. But I can understand somewhat- we had numerous break ins, murders and a rape in the area some time back. And with notoriously slow responding police dept, several folks in the neighborhood have gone to an unofficial neighborhood watch. If someone saw someone walking around at night in the rain, then saw them run off, they very well may be followed and/or approached. What were M's intentions? Was he armed? Where was he headed? We know now,but didnt then. It was innocent, but in thousands of cases every day its not. Z may have just as easily saved someone from a horrible assault-we know now thats not the case though, right. Again,Im not saying Z should have EVER followed this kid, but I understand why.”
“I agree with that- and this is a horrible tragedy. I know we have had to go to a neighborhood watch after several break ins,2 murders, and 1 rape. Around here someone walking in the rain after dark would cause concern. This was an unarmed kid, but could have very well been someone looking for trouble. And this is only one of thousands of cases like this in this country.”
