“So she believes that a federal court shouldn't rule on a state's marriage laws? Her belief is one thing but Federal Courts have already been ruling against State marriage laws for quite some time now and luckily those rulings aren't based on personal beliefs. They're based on the US Constitution and that document trumps everything.
When will the GOP come up with another argument against gay marriage? That tired old one about children being born and raised by a Mother and Father, blah blah blah, hasn't stood up to any type of scrutiny in the past. If the lovely AG really wants to accomplish that, then she should start pushing to make it mandatory to marry before the child is born and outlaw divorce. Once again the GOP are on the wrong side of history.”

“There is no argument against marriage equality that holds up in a court of law.”
“So let's get this straight: The GOP refuse to take care of our Veterans, they refuse to take up the extension of Unemployment Benefits and continue to cut Aid to those that need it all because there is no way to pay for it...BUT they want to extend tax breaks with no way to pay for them. Obama has cut the deficit and the GOP want to add to it. Nothing new there. Tax breaks have done nothing to spur the economy and most people know it, unless you classify CEO bonuses as growth....the wrong growth. The GOP will never change whether it's Congress or Governors. Look into the stark differences between Wisconsin and Minnesota. The Dems here in MN have turned this state around while WI continues to fall lower in the ranks.”
“Wow. It's been a long time since I've read a positive article like this one when it comes to a member of the GOP. I commend Rep Cole for speaking from his heart because it's so refreshing to hear a genuine comment that isn't tainted with bitterness that we've come to expect from his party. Wow.”
“no derogatory comments from me. I have no problem with conceal and carry as long as it's concealed. I've been many places where people are walking around with their weapons clearly visible. That makes me uncomfortable. If I walked into a store and saw someone with their rifle slung over their shoulder I would leave.”
“Good bye NOM. They've lost every anti gay marriage referrendum last election cycle and nothing is about to change. It's just a matter of time before all States allow gay marriage and NOM will be nothing more than a blip on the wrong side of history.”
“Lets get this straight: She has a problem with people receiving Government support (taxpayers) but probably doesn't have a problem with millions in tax breaks that the GOP just gave to big businesses...it all comes from the taxpayers.
But of course the GOP/Baggers don't see it that way.”

“Close. Most of it is not subsidies, but reductions in taxable income from investments in things like renewable energy etc.”
“So much to say. If Louie wants to blame anyone for the VA situation he need only to look at his fellow GOP'ers.
40 Senate Republicans blocked The Veterans Job Corps Act of 2012 which would have spent $1 billion over five years to put veterans to work tending to federal lands, and in the nation’s police and fire departments. Republican Sen. Tom Coburn claimed that there is no evidence that jobs for vets will work.
Republicans blocked $2 billion in additional health care funding for veterans claiming that the VA hospitals are NOT in crisis.
Michele Bachmann even proposed to cut $4.5 billion in targeting veterans. She proposed capping increases for health care spending at the Department of Veterans Affairs along with cutting disability payments to service members.
Why anyone would believe anything that comes frothing from the mouths of the Republicans is beyond me.”
“The GOP have had more than enough time to come up with their alternative to the ACA. Still nothing to show for it. Even Paul Ryan's lame ideas are being laughed at. It's going to be another long, bitter election cycle this year and I hope the Dems run on ACA and soak the airwaves with ads targeting those GOP'ers that want to take away the insurance people now have. Hint, Hint: McConnell.”
“My bad Ed...I did the same thing that people do when they blame Minnesota for Michele Bachmann. I remind them that it's the voters of the 6th District that voted for her.... I should have said the 49th District. I shall not make that same mistake again...”
“Issa has nothing to show for his time as Chairman. From Fast and Furious and Benghazi to the IRS. Conspiracies that have been debunked over and over again but the poor guy continues to make attempts at damaging anything Obama.
California when are you going to ditch this embarrassment?”

“Debunked. All 3? Ohhkie dokie.”

“Please, as someone who has lived in the SF Bay Area and LA area twice each, let's make it clear that this clown is from San Diego, and it's their voters who are responsible for him.”
“I've said it many times before: If the GOP are really interested in ID for voting then they should make an all out effort to make sure all registered voters have an opportunity to obtain that ID free of charge...Otherwise there is speculation that paying for that ID is Unconstitutional Set up shop in every Court House, DMV, City Hall, Library etc...Never gonna happen considering the GOP are scrooges and won't have a way to pay for it.”

“In Pennsylvania, they did that -- free ID, and transportation to the center to get it. Still got vetoed.”
“Jeanne just schooled you and I'll do it as well. It's called open enrollment. I can't change my insurance coverage or enroll in my partners until the end of the year. Are you emplyed? Do you have insurance? Then you should know better even though you claim to sell the product.”

“Wow youre not very smart are you. Im talking INDIVIDUAL policies. CANT buy individual policies until october. NEW change in the law he never spoke of. AND less than 4 million signed up and paid and 5 million were canceled off their old plan so its a LOSS !”
“The copy of the Constitution he holds was published by by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. It began life as the Freemen Institute, a vehicle for the far-right, Mormon, anti-commie, history revisionist, W. Cleon Skousen. Skousen taught that the Constitution was inspired by a God who intended America to be a Christian nation. He also professed the canon of white supremicism that Anglo-Saxons are descended from a lost tribe of Israel.”
