“Nope, no need to be high up in the horde. You can be a clerk, a security guard, anyone with a friend who has access to a computer at work. Why are you so obstinate?”

“Why you love to lie? EH?”

“He isn't all that obstinate...you haven't seen the rest of this mess yet. I don't know if any of us can be blamed for not knowing Cuban daily life without being there right now. This is a simple cultural anthropology strategy; look, take notes, live in it. All I know is the sordid history of the US against Cuba, and I am tempted to believe those who are there than those who left because we all know who left in the late 50s. I remember the criminal flotilla, I remember the Gonzalez debacle, these things stick out in my mind and I often proceed believing pretty much that US citizens generally lie when they talk about horror in Cuba, because that is what we always do when we talk about a country we "don't like", we hold up trumpy evidence that is either contradictory or a giant lie. This is not easy for me.”

“You are lying as a good Teabbger,a clerk don't have access to the internet neither
a security guard FYI there are not security guard in Cuba, only police.
Your uncle arrived thin as a rail in America because you never send him any money,
stop using Cuban people for your rightwing propaganda.
“You should be ashamed for making offensive comments about someone's family to promote your uninformed and senseless attacks. To bad the internet makes it easy for people like you to spew hurtful and dangerous garbage.”
“Of course they can read, but very poorly. Ask around, or go to Cuba and go to a hospital and check it out. I have no reason to lie and no agenda. I understand that people are very passionate about this subject, but I don't think that passion should obscure the facts or that people should blindly champion extreme positions or propaganda on either side. The facts are the facts - education is not as good as they claim, people are hungry and there are homeless people. Ever been to the back streets of Havana? or Varadero? or Oriente?”
“I am lying? Ask any Cuban who has recently come from Cuba. Yes, Cuba produces a high rate of doctors and people in the medical field. How do you think this happens? The Cuban government changed education standards to have more people graduate into "professional" fields. Check your facts and do some research before you irrationally call someone a liar.”
“Propaganda by the Communist regime and people who blindly oppose the embargo would make it seem so, but this is simply not true. Education is lacking - many nurses can barely read. Basic medical care is available, but is VERY basic. People are hungry. My uncle just recently arrived in the US from Cuba thin as a rail. Although he'd been to the doctor in Cuba for regular checkups, after his first US checkup, he found out he has end stage cancer that has metastasized through his entire body.”

“Oye que paso?
I'm a Cuban with family there,I know Castro is a dictator and all
of the hardship, but,I cant accept your lies!

ObamAtomic on Jan 22, 2011 at 16:29:26
“You are lying,if a nurse can't read how she become a nurse?
The embargo is against the Cuban people, the embargo must go
