“And since you obviously have never been unemployed, let me tell you -- ANY JOB is better than NO JOB. There's nothing more degrading than being forced to stand in line to defend the fact that you can't find a job to some unemployment office flunkie -- unless it's being forced to live on food stamps and charity. So let the WalMart people strike. I'll take one of those jobs, I'll work hard, and I'll be THRILLED at the prospect of at least a 20-cent an hour raise after the first year.”
“let them strike. I'll gladly take one of those jobs. Freaking spoiled brats - be thankful you HAVE a job!”

“Go ahead. take it. get back to us. there are lots of faster, easier ways to end up destitute and pennyless than working your butt off to get there. the notion than any job is better than no job only holds true if there is a chance that you arent going to get flushed down the crapper in any case”

“Right. Talk is cheap especially when you don't know what you are talking about. No one can live on these so called salaries that Wal Mart, K Mart or any of the other corp stores. NO ONE. Except the CEO.”

“I love that attitude....we should all roll over and play dead for our corporate masters. With attitudes like yours we'd all be working 7 days a week, living in corporate housing and getting paid in script.....and shot if we complained. Be thankful for unions, without them we would have been a total plutocracy a century ago and there would be no middle class. But you think all those who fought for what you have today were just spoiled brats. Get some self-esteem for god sake.”

“And that is exactly what Big Business wants you to think, so you will give up any labor rights you might have left.”
“People have nothing better to do than get upset over a silly post on Twitter? No wonder the world is such a mess. Pay less attention to social media and more attention to your children so they don't become mass murderers!”
“Why is it that perpetrators of crime are always portrayed by their families as kind, loving, law-abiding, religious, boy scouts who would NEVER commit a crime unless someone tricked them into it? Come on, families, you had to have a clue that the person had some sort of psychotic issues.”

“All religions are cults at their very basic level. Cults are designed to give the members a sense of belonging and entitlement due to their membership in the cults. Therefore, organized religion is a sham.
If there is a god (and there's really no way to say for certain if there is or not, you have to either believe or not believe) you can be he/she/it HATES organized religion because it's always used as a defense to invade and hurt others, or as a way of justifying one's behavior in the world. Judeo-Christians are especially good at this.
Also to the person who asked who taught Adam & Eve to talk -- it was an evolutionary event resulting from the need to better communicate with other humans.”
“1. It's his business, not ours, what he does with his money.
2. Sounds to me like Mama & Sissy have been trying to get him to pay for their lives for years and he's not putting up with it.
Good for you, Tracy. Just because you're related to people doesn't mean you have to support them. Or even like them.”

“He needs to help out of respect for his mother. She's not a relative, she gave birth to Tracy.
I feel it's one's own business to know what kind of moral character you have. We all have a moral obligation to our parents. When my father passed away my mother and I contributed to his funeral even though they had been divorced for forty years and their marriage had been a very difficult one on all of us. We all suffered. But my mother and I made peace with my father during his death. There is a healing in this process and makes you a better person towards yourself and others. It's about your own forgiveness to yourself and your spiritual maturity. You damage your own soul when you hang on to bitterness and hate.”
“Women see celebrity figures -- the Kardashians, L. Lohan, B. Spears, etc. -- behaving in a dramatic and "Harlequin romance" way on TV and in magazines, and it looks romantic and desirable to be as dramatic and overwrought as those figures. It's not the media. It's the people we choose as our role models and heros (heroines). They know exactly how to market themselves to draw us in and keep us hooked on their lives, and they know how to create a sense of excitement and drama from their alleged "trials and tribulations" (omg, my sex tape is on the internet! omg, my husband thinks my butt is big! omg, I partied until I puked!) -- and how to make women who live perfectly normal, ordinary lives WANT that sort of drama too.”
“Scape. Goat. That's all this poor man is. He's the public face of Penn State, so they're crucifying him in public to take the attention away from the rest of the administration. The SENIOR level admin people -- VPs, President, etc. -- should be publicly castigated, not the man who gave his life to the students, athletes, and the school.
Penn State should be horribly ashamed of the way they treated him. I have lost all respect for that school, and cancelled my alumni association membership over his firing. I refuse to support a university that allows deviants to work there -- they never fired Sandusky, they still allow Spanier to hold a teaching position -- and fires an innocent man who DID WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO to bring the situation to administration's attention.”
marcusdarnley on Nov 14, 2011 at 22:22:11
“No, he did not do WHAT HE WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. What you are supposed to do when a trusted employees tells you see witnessed a child being raped is CALL THE POLICE, get the rapist out of your organization, make sure he never sets foot inside your facility. What Paterno did was leave the rapist in place, keep him as an assistant, give him access to the facilities literally for years after being informed of the man's crimes. Paterno covered up, and, even worse, enabled Sandusky to continue to rape more children. Paterno, as well as Sandusky, belongs in jail. By the way, the media had nothing to do with it. Unfortunately, thanks to the coverup by Paterno and the administration, the media didn't find out about it until long after an untold number of boys had been raped by Paterno's protege with Paterno's complicity.”
Patriot86 on Nov 13, 2011 at 16:36:58
“Are you kidding...so you support child rape? How do you believe that Paterno did not know or more likely Penn State and Paterno are more important?”
johneljuan on Nov 13, 2011 at 13:31:21
“IF PATERNO KNEW HE IS AS GUILTY AS THE PERSON COMMITTING THE CRIME. SO SAVE YOUR MORAL INDIGNATION AND CONSIDER THE FACT THAT THIS ENABLED THAT MAN TO MOLEST 9 MORE KIDS. PATERNO IS AN ENABLER OF A PEDOPHILIA.”
staylor422 on Nov 13, 2011 at 12:07:41
“agreed but how about he becoming a champion for children who are sexually aboused by fagots and predators?”
skullman on Nov 13, 2011 at 12:07:21
“There is plenty of guilt to go around, including Paterno. To make him out to be a victim is absurd. The only victims are the kids, and nobody, including Paterno, cared enough to do anything for them.”
“That's the "way" at most universities. They don't want bad press, they don't want the trustees to look too closely at the way the school is being run, and they don't want the mommies and daddies to find out their kiddos are taught by criminals.”
PSUnomore on Dec 1, 2011 at 20:06:09
“And..............Graham Spanier is now on Sabbatical....”
“Paterno was fired because the people he reported the incident to didn't act -- he was fired because of people like Spanier.
The fact that Spanier is still teaching there shows that the university used Paterno as a very public scapegoat to appease public sentiment and to essentially get rid of him (as they've been trying to do for a number of years now). Administration and the trustees have no interest in actually punishing those senior members of the administration who allowed deviant criminal behavior on their campus.'”
LuLou Murder on Nov 14, 2011 at 13:30:55
“Do you really think Spanier ran that school? Pedo State has for decades been run by and for Joe Paterno.”
Matt51 on Nov 14, 2011 at 03:46:56
“You hit the nail on the head. If Spanier were the protector of Sandusky crimes, then Paterno was trapped. If the Board were truly concerned over the crimes, they would have fired Spanier at the same time they fired the others. As it was, the Board only acted after police arrests were being made. The governor needs to review what is happening here.”
lcr999 on Nov 13, 2011 at 13:58:31
“Paterno had many options to act on his own, but continued to let Sandusky have access to his facilities and to the other official program functions (bowl games, etc).”
“How about a middle ground? No one needs (or wants) to read a running commentary on the acceptance letters as they come in. How about waiting until the kid makes an actual decision and then posting that? "Johnny has decided on (fill in name of school here) and we're so excited he's starting in the fall" or something like that.
These people posting/bragging about all the name schools that accepted their kid should also be forced to post where the kid actually CHOSE to go -- "Johnny got acceptances from Harvard, Yale & Brown. He's decided to attend Joe's School for Schmoes in the fall."
Just because the kid got into the big-name school doesn't mean he/she wants to go there. Let's hear where they're actually matriculating!
PS: The only person truly interested in your kid(s) is YOU. I'm just sayin'. The rest of us don't give a hoot.”
Get off your butt. Get an education. Get a decent job. CONTRIBUTE TO THE ECONOMY INSTEAD OF WHINING THAT YOU DON'T GET ENOUGH GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIES.
Yes, it's difficult. I work full-time (manual labor) AND go to school full-time. I'm middle-aged. It's exhausting but guess what? There's a better job waiting for when I'm done. Go ahead, laugh, make snide comments about how I'm delusional. I BELIEVE I can do it, and I REFUSE to live on food stamps and welfare and government money.
You can sit here crying because you're afraid you'll have to do something other than hang out on the front porch with a beer. I'm not lazy or stupid enough to settle for that.”
