Even more, look at the countries who have instituted universal coverage in more than healthcare! Successful governments have provided universal housing, universal food distribution, and even universal perpetual happiness. Perfect examples of this working are Cuba, the Stalin years of the soviet union, and even (people get weird when you mention this one) the National Socialist government of Germany in the late 1930's!
It is obscene that people in the United States have to work at backbreaking jobs just to be able to afford food, a place to live, and things to spend their time on. We have only to look at the success of these great nations to understand that the path to lasting happiness for our citizens is the universal provision of life necessitie
