“Let's just remove the word "slavery" from our vocabulary - that would be an easy solution. Maybe it's time for the liberal PC police to issue a dictionary of what words we can use, and in what context we can use them. That way we'll all know what's offensive and what's politically correct.”

“And you forgot a few other facts:
The ACA will cost a trillion dollars of our (and YOUR) tax dollars. It's really great when other people get to pay for your insurance.
You can't keep your insurance or your doctor. Even though it was PROMISED. Here's what Obama is really saying..."Oh well, sorry we lied, but we really didn't mean to. We had to lie to get this wonderful piece of legislation passed, but it really is for everyone's own good. Just sit down, shut up and take your medicine...”
“The BIG mistake of the ACA was trying to do everything all at once while not really thinking through all of the unintended consequences. It really was VERY stupid. Republicans wanted to do it one step at a time, but of course Obama and the Dems had to strong-arm their members to vote on this "comprehensive" piece of crap legislation.
For those Dems that were coerced into voting for this bill, this is very much like being drunk and going to bet with a 10 and waking with a 1.
Lots of Dems are going to lose their jobs next Nov. and they can thank Obama, Reid and Pelosi for that. Little did those Dems know that the big gavel Reid and Pelosi so joyously (and disgustingly) paraded around with would be used on their own party to throw them out of office. The perfect storm would be for Republicans to take the House and Senate in the mid-terms with a 2/3 majority that would give them the power to override ANY veto Obama would try. THAT would be a fitting payback for forcing this travesty of a bill on the American people. Maybe then Republicans could find an even bigger gavel and implant it in the front lawn of the White House and make 2 copies - one for Nancy's office, and one for Harry's office...”
“There's some partying going on at the White House tonight! They have found ONE satisfied customer. Woo Hoo!
And our tax dollars (and yours for that matter - if you paid ANY taxes) helped you save 73%. It's a great deal when you can get someone else to pay, Congratulations. You just gave up your freedom, your privacy, AND your well-being to the government. You may think it's a great idea, but be very, very weary...”
“Let's see, Shirley, your comment, "The problem is, most Americans do not view Obamacare as a problem that needs to be dodged. Only the right wing thinks that.'- and "Obamacare is not a failure except for the right wing."
Perhaps a little visit to Huffpost Pollster might be informative. Let me save you the trouble:
Obama job approval on Health Care 56.1% DISAPPROVE, and 36.6$ APPROVE. The biggest shock is the CBS poll which says 65% DISAPPROVE, and 36% APPROVE.
Hmmmmm, dram your own conclusion...”

“Link it so we can see what the question really asks.
Not that it matters. Obamacare will go into effect in January 2014, with or without your approval.
“Just to correct the record, Obama DID NOT apologize - he said he was sorry they lost their coverage. That is a FAR CRY from an apology. A real apology goes like this, "My fellow Americans, I am truly sorry that I mislead you on the facts of how ACA was going to affect people and their insurance policies. I should have been straight with you, and I used very poor judgement in misleading you." THAT is an apology. You ALL know the difference in what HE said, and what a real apology is. Just admit it...
A real man, and a real leader knows how to say, "I was wrong." Real men and real leaders take responsibility for their actions. You know it, and I know it.”
“The message sent is this: Republicans do not want liberal hacks in the court system. Nothing wrong with that...this procedure is for our own protection to keep highly partisan hacks from serving as judges. If both parties can't agree on a nominee, then find one they can agree on. It's very simple and very constitutional. Abide by the laws - remember, they go both ways...”
bill9851 on Nov 12, 2013 at 20:00:50
“"liberal hacks" you need to explain why in all the years of "conservative hacks" like John Roberts, Scalia and absolutely unqualified to be a supreme court justice--Clarence Thomas that this would be ok. When a president wins an election that president gets to nominate who he (it's been a he so far) chooses to be on the bench(s). The advise and consent rule suggests that if you have an objection of a person's qualifications to hold that office you voice those objections and debate their qualifications on the senate floor or at hearings.
This has nothing to do with "advise and consent" this is simply saying we will prevent appointments until we get back in. Both parties agreeing on nominations is not the way it works. Presidents get their nominees unless unqualified to serve not because the other party wants someone more conservative or liberal or whatever.
Elections have consequences and when the people (through the electoral college) choose a particular president they are choosing their leadership in foreign policy & judgeships by default. Opposing that president's selections without quantifying the actual lack of qualifications is simply opposing the American people's choice for president--I would suggest that is un-American and anti-democractic (small d).”

Brian Gilmer on Oct 14, 2013 at 20:39:30
“If the President orders the Secretary of Treasure to borrow money to cover obligations authorized by Congress then he would be in violation of the law creating the debt limit. While the 14th Amendment does seem to authorize the government to pay obligations this has not been tested in court so the uncertainty about the legitimacy of bonds issued without approval from congress would be enough to either keep investors away or raise the price for the bonds to a very high level.”

“Ok I'm seeing a definite pattern here that once again has no real basis in reality but plenty of desperation. All this in nonsense because Wall Street, our foreign bond holders, and the world economy isn't going to wait to see what US Bills President Obama decides to pay or not pay. They will simply crash and our dollar will drop to nothing.”
“The bitter irony here is that if we continue to pile up debt and our economy continues to fade, all of the support programs that are deemed critical will also face a catastrophic end. We can't afford all of these programs now, so if our economy continues to decline, does it not make sense that even MORE kids will go hungry and not have a good education?
Another irony - a vibrant, robust and free-market economy is FAR more capable of supporting programs and lifting people up than a socialist, government-controlled bureaucracy - and THAT is the truth that no one can deny...”

“daddybill: I agree with most but there are poor and those poor are not in the market. So when you say economy of whom do you speak. You and I may have money in the market earning money each time a poor person goes to the store. Without them we do not grow. Next, have you ever lived in a socialistic society? Everything is governed by the government. I suggest you live in a socialistic country before you even accuse Obama of socialisim. There are limits on everything.”
“Perhaps you should open your mind and watch. O'Reilly has more character and gives more money away than all of the pundits in the mainstream media combined.”
“O'Reilly spoke the truth and backed it up with facts. Plain and simple. Not only that, but he proposed solutions. OK, I'm listening to the solutions brought forth from the left libs.................crickets.........................more crickets..........................

We deserve to know WHO gave the order. We also deserve to know WHO told Rice to go out and lie to the American people. And why did Obama go to sleep that night while the attack was happening?" “In case you've been living in the HuffPo shell, the sequester was the Obama administration's idea in the first place - THAT IS A FACT. Sorry, but this boils down to one thing - the buck stops at the president's desk, so if blame is to be handed out, Obama is first in line. But I'm afraid the media and of course the left sees it just as Obama spins it - it's those mean old Republicans. When are you people going to wake up and see that this is NOT a good president - he's not a LEADER - he's a campaigner-in-chief. If he were so smart and such a great leader, our country would be in a lot better shape than it is now. But excuses is all we hear - and blame someone else is all they really know how to do. Obama is the Teflon president - no responsibility for anything, nothing ever sticks to him. This on-the-job training is killing our country, plain and simple.”
“The whole thing was a fiasco, then the Obama administration took it to a new level with false claims, then covered it all up, and the press lapped up the false story like a hungry dog who hadn't eaten in three days because their super hero and his band of minions screwed up big time. Tell the truth - it's a wonderful thing to hear...But the press lapdogs would never tell the truth - it might taint their super hero.”
