“I really don't know how those months of the health care process could have been anymore transparent. Just one more talking faux head regurgitating rhetoric. Only a small part of the negotiations were behind closed doors and appropriate after months of the party of no behaving like playground bullillies.”

“wow. funny how as soon as the party of opposition gains power, liberals ditch the transparency talking point and 'behind closed doors' is suddenly great in moderation.
one word: CPAN. i think i heard obama say it a million times during the election.”
“Reality check... only about 100k people voted in Mass. We live in a star struck nation that is duped by appearances ... oh and his opponent forgot to campaign. But be advised. I think too many folks thought that the gwb was a complete zero and didn't vote, just as she probably thought she was a shoe in.”
“True, perhaps division is what any voice of reason is weighing. The party is so emotionally based. The teas baggers are already diffusing over quibbles. I suppose Mr. Powell has had it with being dragged over party embers. Is there anyone else? The right senate are also not behaving like adults.”
“The only reason to keep appraised of what is going on with her is that the same following allowed the previous administration and Macarthy-ism ... the trouble is there are no right intellectuals to refute her... such as the Buckleys to set the John Birchers straight.”

“Good point. While I was not always sympathetic with Buckley's politics, his intellect and wit were admirable and sheer pleasure to watch. While a Buckley (or Harris or Dawkins) would be capable, I would caution not to turn this woman into a martyr for her followers to cling to even harder.
How in the world could one debate someone who argues with their own set of magical facts, speaks in incomprehensible verbiage, and substitutes dogma for logic. It would be impossible. It would be like trying to debate that infamous 'kitchen table'.
The problem is ultimately that her following think dogmatically and will dismiss any criticism of SP, regardless their credentials (credentials make them too 'elite'). If persuasion were the goal, I doubt either side would change positions.
In cases such as these, humor is often the most effective response. Whatever happens, don't make a martyr out of her!”
“I'd much rather see Neil or Mufi in the gov seat. The money will come. There are some established politicians ... Case for one , dems already vyin for his seat, They will definitely push for the $ and it will happen.”

“I don't! Mufi is a joke and Neil's support of the A KAKA bill is reason enough for him to leave office.”
“There's been a refloplican gov for several years. Abercrombe the rep running for the gov seat has been a civil servant for years and even knew the presidents parents and grandparents..It's a race between the current mayor and this old knowing shoe in the primary and both have history and popularity. Other dems are lining up for the rep job and some good choices. I tend to think the gop gov is behind nixing money for an election just to be contrary because she knows full well a gop candidate would not have a prayer.”
“Um actually old pineapple fields are being turned into wind power for Oahu, wave action is also being implemented. Of all the good things Lingle has done, the problem is the same ol block of not working with dems. The furlough thing is silllliness. Of all her even handedness she is not and has not behaved like an adult in this regard just like to rest of the party of no. I'm all for public transport by the way. Ever watch the morning and evening news. The traffic report dominates. Your arguments don't follow.”
“Hawaii is thankfully going to soon lose it's reflub governor. You may remember her from the rnc and the campaign singing sarahs praises. She's actually more in the hotseat for economic downturn and a furlough system making education even worse. There are some popular dem contenders for her seat. The main faux news viewers here are those with second homes.”
