“they should have let the private insurers verify..info...then submit to the govt...for reimbursement
to be honest..I'm an insurance agent..and every renewal i am dealing with..
has big increases...because of all the mandated benefits in the law..
It could wind up being the biggest unemployment mandate..ever..
just saying...not a carmac...”
“if you could get on the exchange(which you cant) and see what you will get and pay for under the unaffordable care act or if you were a small employer and saw the new rates and new regulatory requirements plus the ACA fees..for 2014...
you might have a better sense of why ...the house wants to stall it...
small employers want to sell their product not administrate//gov't red tabe goobly gock”

“I haven't seen any stories of people who have actually gotten a plan they can afford. I would think that the Democrats would make sure those stories made it to the top of the talking points list. Instead I keep hearing about people who will be paying more and large deductibles before their insurance kicks in.”

“Unfortunately, you are probably speaking to someone living off the government already, who will pay nothing for his health care. Anyone actually working for a living is getting the shaft, and even some of those people don't seem to be smart enough to know it. Its a sad day when people believe the govenment can do a better job of running their lives than they can. I have an answer for this whole mess, and its called Costa Rica. Socialism, it has never worked in the past, and it will never work in the future.”

“our problem is that free enterprise no longer exists...it used to be sort managed enterprise..(a few gov't rules) but now ..it's all gov't enterprise..and if you think
there is corruption just wait..
Texas is one of the few states that is rockin..why because..we are freer than most states...
profit is good...none of those countries have good health care....that's why the canadian partner of my wife's company had surgery done here (couldn't wait)
we just dont want beaurocrats running our companies..
in 20 minutes i could have come up with a better health solution
a year from now when all the sickies solve their problems..the fed exchange will become (what we call a high risk pool)..and will implode...
if evil ins companies can't appraise risk..(like your homeowners plan )
we are sunk....and the answer will be more taxpayer subsidies and the politicians who win will promise delusional solutions to ..the voting losers”
“Well..I can tell you this much...I've been an employee benefits agent for 30 years...and it has always been hard work especially...at renewal time for small companies..mostly who don't have the time or resources to peel thru insurance..and it has always been tough and expensive..
for them...but many have continued on...paying the freight..
but now withObamacare....you just have to believe me....renewal were 10 pages long..
now they are 50 pages...with premium hikes...that are criminal....and Extremely complicated....it's not pretty...and from now on...it will only get worse...too may moving parts..I could go on....but..won't....
and that info..is from only one company...ugly ugly ugly...
and it was passed in an underhanded way...that's why....republicans dont forget...”

“Neither do voters who need medical care. Hire another person who is very visual and likes paperwork. It is that easy. The slime with all of this my friend can be center in the GOP with the likes of Russ McConnell, John Boehner, Eric Cantor and Rand Paul...oh yes and the delusional Rick Perry. There are numerous countries all over the world which use the same paradigm as The Affordable Health Care provision with no complaints. This is not about politics...it is about large conglomerates paying Republicans to vote a certain way...bring it down to the reality...it is about greed and selfishness of large medical insurance companies and drug companies who for years have had extraordinary profits while others do not have any healthcare. Come on! Civility needs to be the focus here.”
“you forgot one little thing...subsidies are not play money...the insurance companies get the full premium..the gov't/ie the tax payer gets the bill..but of course if you don't pay much in taxes thats somebody elses problem..
It has to come from somewhere..and that's why ..the conservative view..dosen't want to give away the store”
“Hey...Just...put your life on a cash basis...show about 25k...on youryour 1040 taxes and you too can enjoy the benefits of a subsidized premium..under Obummercare
I'm just curious ...where does the subsidy come from...an already...overborrowed fed gov't
and taxed consumer...I know i send them plenty....and i bet somebody sends me a reply..I'm not paying enough...
are we just going to row row our boats merrily off the edge?”
ThatIsJustGreat on Sep 20, 2013 at 15:30:31
“If you are under reporting your actual income on your 1040, you are not paying enough. You are also committing a serious crime. You are also increasing my family's tax burden as a result (since Congress doesn't see fit to revamp the tax codes).”
“I am an insurance agent..and according to my client..it was extremely hard to communicate..apparantly no phone..or slow response....
I can talk to any private..company in minutes..
I dont need another experience to draw a conclusion..
they just dont have the staff..or systems....wait until you talk to an exchange...
person....then contact me......”
“As an insurance agent I put an uninsurable client into..a PCIP plan...
(for free)...and they(PCIP) got the billing so screwed up..it was unbelievable....
tooks months to...try to unravel....never did..
Finally the client got disgusted..and are now trying to get with a legit company..
Let me just say to those that think the gov't can run/administrate the health care system..
ie single pay or what ever..
Be glad ..you have ins companies...with sophisticated systems to take care of issues..
(and yes..they need to profitand stay in biz)(who dosen't?) ...becuase...the bureaurocracy..can't handle it..”

“Well explain why it works Mass where Romney implimented it? I do not believe one word of your post including being an agent because if you were you would have solved it.”

“That's hilarious! I worked for a national insurance company for over 20 years. They make mistakes. They can make BIG mistakes. They can screw up things so badly you would think it's done intentionally. Yes they have systems in place to take care of issues, but there are always exceptions that don't fit into the system and have to be handled by people. People make mistakes.
Anytime you start a new program there are going to be problems. There will be unforeseen problems. Some will be things that can easily be fixed, some will be nightmares. People will complain, they expect perfection.”

“I can agree that that. I went through a particularly expensive (catastrophic) illness with a beloved family member. My little old Blue Cross plan performed FAR beyond my expectations. Without a hitch, in fact.
Moreover, because it was a bone marrow transplant, I'm sure you know how dicey it can be to even get approvals. Obamacare would probably never given the approval knowing the complete survival rate is only about 30%. It's not much of a chance, but it is the ONLY chance for survival...”
“this is a sad incident....but my gut tells me...Zimmerman is mostly innocent..
probably should have backed off...but he was attacked...at some point...it was not "murder"..and neighborhood watch....is a legit...past time..

not guilty of murder.”

“Well the problem is...so many americans are consuming..their current income to the max...
either not affording or ignoring the financial security that health coverage brings..
and now they have to buy...what to do?...
sell the New truck...or take back the big screens or buy insurance..
plus the law is a mess..that's becoming obvious..young people..won't like in essence
supporting the older folks premium..so many will pay the penalty..and take their chances...which will make premiums worse...
We should have installed a "limited benefit health Plan"......versus...the whole enchilada
Deborah G on May 10, 2013 at 16:07:45
“We had a perfectly useful National Health plan... medicaid all they had to do was open it up to people under 75K by having them contribute on a sliding scale . Z end of problem.”

“I was making a reference to the tv show, in regards to the original poster's "luxury items" crack. When discretionary spending power is so concentrated in such a small amount of people, we're in serious trouble.”
“yes I do...I bet you are getting a little trickle down...
Most americans are unambitious, suseptible to bad ecomic ideas..
don't save...and pretty much won't take responsibility for their own failure.
and to top it off..they are envious of success....sucess mnay not be perfect but it sure beats poverty and class envy...
economic equality is a pipe dream....which leads to corruption..
cheers ..now get back to work”
“hey..it's all good...let the rich pay all the taxes....untill rich is making $35 K a year
it seems to me most Americans want to do the right thing..just not on my back..
It's really simple..there is a balance ..it would be a good idea for all to pay some small amt of tax other than payroll ...
If the so called rich keep paying more.and more.they will definately cut back on purchases or payroll ..luxury items...bad news rolls down hill..
and $250K a year does not put you out of economic harms way
Look at Venazuela ...where theyve made the rich flee or france...all those nations where
the social beurocracy...is sinking the ship...grab your life vest...”

“perhaps you don't understand the type of tax the INCOME TAX is? it is self evident to me. congress wanted to raise money for govt. by taxing the incomes of people, the more you make they more you pay, that was the idea behind the 16th amendment. since the rich makes a great deal of the income in america, they should pay a great deal of the income taxes. If you do not like the way it worked out, then amend the constitution. the income tax is working just the way congress desgned it to work. the only thing is, thet given our large deficits and debt, the rich needs to pay a little more because they are not paying enough, and effective tax rates of 23% or so on rich people will not reduce them to a net income of $35,000/year, sorry. I know a CEO who is laughing at that one.”

“You still believe in trickle-down economics, eh? Catching you up on the last 30 years, we tried that, and it didn't work. The income gap in this country is larger than ever, even as taxes are at their lowest in 80 years.”
