Hillary Clinton: Will She or Won't She at Bryn Mawr College July 9?

Commented Jul 8, 2013 at 21:55:27 in Chicago

“She has put in more miles traveling to and reaching out to other natons than any of her predecessors. She is well respected in the international community and has worked tirelessly for the often forgotten rights of women and children around the globe. Her background as a former attorney for the Children's Defense Fund has been quite helpful in working for the rights of chlldren, who do have rights by the way.”

T4Timbuktu on Jul 9, 2013 at 08:34:53

“Her background,  her "working tirelessly" and respect arent achievements. Her miles traveled are. That is something she can be proud of, as can a bus driver or a truck driver. As for achievements as the "greatest" Secretary of State, I still havent heard of one.”

Hillary Clinton: Will She or Won't She at Bryn Mawr College July 9?

Commented Jul 8, 2013 at 21:52:34 in Chicago

“An almost 90 year old citizen of this great country, the USA, I am overwhelmed to consider the question whether Madame Secretary Clinton will make her announcement, pull the covers off, of her intention to be a candidate for president of the USA. I hope it happens in my lifetime and she doesn't wait too long!”

Dick Gregory: "What I'm Running From" Bryn Mawr College Feb. 28

Commented Feb 27, 2013 at 20:34:19 in Black Voices

“I am extremely pleased that Dick Gregory was selected to speak at Bryn Mawr College. He has a message that I have heard for over 50 years. When I first met him as a comedian and satirist at the Playboy Club of Chicago. At that time he was the #1 comedian at nightclubs in this nation. He translates the problems of our day that we all live with, read about, listen to on radio and TV. Through comedy, he makes it very clear that we all must come together to solve the problems we have today using humor, comedy.”

Ellen Barkin's Sea of Love

“Ellen is the epitome of persistent perseverance instead of her perceived thought that she is not pretty. Wait a minute! All of us are pretty. As life goes on, we realize this. Especially as we grow older. It's either that--or all of us are ugly. We really don't want to go that route.”

“With the playwright's Departmental Honors in African-American studies from Columbia, I can only hope she will take her many talents to talk with schoolchildren about Dr. King especially as we approach black history month. What better place than in schools to help the young form the content of their characters!”

Dr. King's Volcanic Mountaintop Seductively Explosive

Commented Oct 20, 2011 at 00:13:18 in Entertainment

“This play about Martin Luther King is the playwright's interpretation of him and his life. It is a slice of history of the civil rights movement focusing on an invented encounter as a plot device. Hopefully, theatergoers will be encouraged to go to the library and/or search on the internet to learn more about this great man and the civil rights movement.”
