“A novel about a chicken, a single story I read 30 years ago or a fantasy whodunnit in which the protagonist is snatched by a nonspecific iron hearted Eastern European regime and cruelly tossed into a cozy household with an adulterous, and I'm guessing attractive, 'jailer'. At least the nonfiction selections sound like they might make decent magazine articles, given a modest word count.
I guess there's always next week.”

“"A novel about a chicken". That's what I was thinking...a chicken? Seriously?”

“Gene Wolfe IS a good author - I'd give it a try.”
“There's talk of a Black Panther movie. They should do it. I liked BP when I was a kid - he was one of those human scale heroes, like Spidey and DD. A supergenius and a certified bada**, and as far as I know the first black comic hero. He was an Avenger as well, so he could be introduced in one of their movies - maybe in the after-credit scene.”

“Falcon was the First Black Superhero, He will be showing up in the new Capt. America movie.”
“Dude, ixnay on the lanpay: the umpersthay ightmay ebay eadingray isthay. On'tday orgetfay ethay odecay.
Wow, what was that? Dang tablet's gone nuts! As I was saying, that's terrible man. Inkway inkway.”
“If they stopped with useless voter ID laws, which practically don't, but technically could, prevent fraud, they could make the case that these laws aren't intended to stifle democracy. Not so for reducing opportunities to vote by monkeying with early voting, or eliminating preregistration and same day registration.
Scared of an honest vote much, gopers?”
“Let's face it, the only reason this is even being debated is the sad fact that the vast majority of the targeted ethnic group were killed and the remnant population is too small to defend itself. Neither blacks, nor Italians, nor Germans, etc., would allow themselves to be treated this way. I dare disputers to name their softball teams for a slur on African Americans and have jerseys made. I'm looking forward to following the team to Dairy Queen after the game and watching the 'fun'.”
“Sure, unless you're intelligent and honest enough to understand that the things those prosecutors and cops did are crimes as well, crimes that are routinely committed and virtually never prosecuted. Was the shushing, criminal cop, or the evidence hiding prosecutor unconscious? Don't like the pressure? Get a new job.”
“Okay, let's say she was drunk. So frakkin what? She was on the porch. If she had a weapon she was pointing at him, maybe the shooting was justified. Otherwise, it's homicide. Her state of intoxication and the elapsed time since the accident are irrelevant. Agreed: the shooter's race doesn't matter.”

“Ever hear of "justifiable" homicide? If she was in an altered state of consciousness and pounding on my door, and otherwise making bad choices--a lot of "ifs" there--she might get the same on my porch. Lets get the details. The shooter might be guilty as hell or perfectly innocent. Did he fear for his life? If not, and he held a gun that accidentally discharged during sane behavior on her part, he is guilty of a homicide charge. If he was aiming the gun at her because he was frightened by her behavior and feared for his life, even an accidental discharge could be justified.”
“Given the things his teammates are saying, it sounds like they were all in on it - he's just the genius who put his outrageous nonsense in reproducible form. Hey, it's their locker room culture, right? What business is it of the public that provides every penny all of them make?”

“Let me see if I have the gist of this...they're doing a Shakespeare sequel. Sure, why not? They' re still hacking out new James Bond and Jason Bourne novels sans Fleming and Ludlum. Who the bleep is Shakespeare? Anyway?
I'm working on a new Romeo and Juliet treatment myself - public domain, baby! I don't have to up a penny to any greedy survivors like those Bond/Bourne hacks. I'm thinking something along the lines of "R&J #Love Ressurected", all in the form of tweets...make that 'warbles' so I don't have to share with those greedy twits.”

“He doesn't have super strength, but he does have powers. So, a guy getting super powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider you buy, but not Daredevil? I think your super power is selective skepticism.”
