“Pelosi continues to be divisive with her inflammatory rhetoric - The reason this needs to be done is because Obama and Clinton lied about WHY the attack happened for weeks after - they lied, they are liars - and we shouldn't elect Clinton to the Presidency when she is so capable of such a bold face lie where American citizens died!”

“remember this funny cartoon by Gary Trudeau? A reporter interviewing a terrorist during the bush admin. Reporter to terrorist: "why do you keep attacking us"" Terrorrist answer to reporter: "Bush said the bring it on". Reporter says: "that was a couple of months ago, why wait so long"? Terrorrist says: "we had to translate this for our leaders multiple times, they just could not believe it",”

“Where were you when:
1) A grand total of 60 US embassy employees were killed, including 4 ambassadors during the Bush administration?
2) When a grand total of 341 marines were killed in Beirut in 3 separate attacks?
3) when thousands of Americans were dying because of shady practices of health insurance companies?
The time has come, my friend, for you to stop being so grandiose about caring about 4 dead Americans when it seems to me your side is using their deaths to score political points and not really caring about what their families need.”
“Oh right, at Target you just get your credit card information stolen! Walmart is a great place for the middle class - they can get good products at a good price - isn't the middle class getting squeezed enough by the liberals agenda? I mean everyone can't buy organic! “Christ said "the poor will always be with you" this is humanity, we are all different, income equality is a myth some people don't care about money or possessions, for others, it's what drives them. I think greed and envy are the root of social evil. I have no problem with a successful person who uses their success wisely and humanely, I do have a problem with a person who envies the successful person simply because they are successful.”

“Yes the poor will always be with us, BUT how we will all be judged is "how you treated the least among thee", and that applies to nations. If we treat are indifferent to the needs of those least among us, as a nation we are damned.
If you believe Jesus that is.”

“So... let me see if I'm interpreting your argument correctly... Say you've got a family with upwards of 100 billion dollars in personal wealth. That family is "successful" in your view. They're A-OK.
Meanwhile you've got another family working for the first one who are paid so little they require food stamps to get by and they're unhappy about that situation. They're the ones who are guilty of "greed and envy". They're the problem.
Is that what you're saying? And if so, does it really make sense to you?”
“Why should we believe any statistics that come out of Obama's administration? He's lied to us from the beginning. Healthcare for all is a good thing, but with most of the people buying into this plan having been those who got cancelled from their old plans BECAUSE of this bill, I don't think that's healthcare for all, that's healthcare for people we say should pay what we think they should pay and have what we think they should have. There are those saying after years 30 million Americans will still be uninsured - so what's the point?”
Tommygun264 on Apr 17, 2014 at 00:20:57
“The statistics are NOT from the Obama administration. They are from the NONPARTISAN CBO - the same CBO righties were claiming was beyond reproach back when another CBO report was misquoted as saying the ACA would cost 2 million American jobs. Of course when the misquotes were corrected & it turned out the report said up to 2 million Americans who don't want to work will be able to leave their jobs, opening up 2 million jobs for Americans who want and need jobs, righties went back to scoffing. You only succeed in embarrassing yourself when you make false statements conflating the CBO with the Obama administration.”
Rick4646 on Apr 16, 2014 at 20:45:36

“Interesting that you find "the militant gay movement" responsible for the failure of World Vision to live up to the Christ-like standards of unconditional love, unconditional acceptance and an unconditional commitment to apply these primary, foundational Christian qualities to an understanding of the Scripture that makes sense in the 21st-century.
Whatever you mean by "the militant gay movement," it had nothing to do with this.
World Vision is an organization I have faithfully and joyfully supported for many, many years because I believed it to have an authentic faith combined with operational integrity.
Given that, Its initial stand on marriage equality did not surprise me at all. What surprised me was the reversal of its decision---a reversal unaccompanied by any element of theological reasoning.
I believe that those who lead World Vision still think that their first decision was the right decision. But they have compromised their operational integrity in reversing that decision and, while my prayers will be with and for them, my financial support will not. There are other organizations that do equally meaningful work with hungry children the world over and I will channel my contributions through them.
World Vision has always led, not followed. This is a loss for the Christian community.”
“only 800,000 of the suppsed 7.1 mil (I don't believe this number) were previously uninsured - so basically, Obamacare kicked people off plans they liked and could afford and forced them onto higher deductible more expensive plans - what a joke -”

“Debunked talking point.
"Millions" of people "lost" insurance plans that they "liked".
129 million Americans with pre-existing conditions like the fact that they can no longer be discriminated against, charged more, denied coverage, have their policies capped or canceled after they get sick even more.
Women like that they can no longer be charged more than men for the same policy.
18-26 year olds like that they can remain on their parent's policies as they get started in life.
Seniors like having the Medicare donut hole closed.
The joke is on your failed ideology”

“This is the result of liberalism - politicians don't even talk about drug abuse anymore - follow the money - look at unions - look at the Democrat party - as long as people in power are making money off drugs people will continue to die.”

“How about you provide a coherent argument as to how liberalism is the reason. How about you provide a coherent argument as to how the pharmaceutical industry only influences Democrats. How about you provide a coherent argument as to how conservatism has had no effect on this. Last time I checked, it's the left that wants regulation.”
Taper123 on Apr 6, 2014 at 12:55:24
“Conservatives pass many of the laws that have created this problem. It's not a liberal/conservative issue though. It's accepting the fact that the drug war and the policies it has put in place have caused more harm than good.
So wantng to continue the same policies we have in place will get the same result. Your just looking for someone to blame, instead of facing the reality that the drug war is a failure, and the direct cause of some of these problems.
As one conservative once said, if your not part of the solution, your part of the problem.”
“First of all, you have to have a job to begin with - my question to Obama, Pelosi and Reid is "Where are the jobs"? Their policies and politics have hurt our economy, not income inequality and they are trying to change the subject because they know it's actually what they've been doing and what they haven't done that's stagnated the economy.”

“Bush lost 673,00+ PRIVATE sector jobs in 8 years, gave US 2 UNFUNDED tax cuts that drained the treasury WHILE he went to 2 UNFUNDED wars and gave US UNFUNDED Medicare expansion. Remember the hole Bush left US in?
Since Obama has came into office, 4.8+ MILLION PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS have been created (ACTUALLY 9+ million if you start from March 2010 when his policies kicked in)
“Republicans have come up with alternatives, but Harry Reid and Obama will never work with them to improve the law, that would mean their law was a failure. I don't know where you are getting your numbers, but they have not signed up 14 million people. They've signed up 4.2 million people, many in Medicaid. ONly 27% of the 4.2 million were uninsured before and 1 in 5 who've signed up haven't paid any premiums yet. The law is a failure. Its rollout was disasterous because once again the Democrats used a crony software company to build the system and once again, wasted millions of taxpayer dollars. Have you heard of the death spiral in insurance? Look it up - that's what will happen to Obamacare if they don't get 48% of the applicants in the younger healthier age brackets, so far only 25% are in this bracket.”
In MA it took a few years but they achieved over 90% coverage and young people signed up in droves.
Repubs have NOT proposed alternatives- find me a link or an article. When challenged they mutter about selling across state lines and HSA's - all good ideas but drops in the ocean of what needs to be done to get everyone covered and reduce costs which the ACA - despite what you read - has already begun to address.”
“Okay, you can argue about Obamacare all you want from the standpoint of it being the answer for people but I was discussing the fact he did this comedy act that wasn't funny and was actually embarrassing and in the end looked pretty desperate. By the way, I don't agree with Obamacare - there are better ways to deliver healthcare coverage to the uninsured and if you knew what you were talking about you'd realize that the uninsured aren't signing up, it's people Obama forced insurance carriers to cancel for the most part who are buying in to the exchanges, not the uninsured. Only 27% were uninsured previously - adds up to failure!”
Mark Hirsh on Mar 13, 2014 at 15:01:58
“Better ways? The Repubs have been promising an alternative plan for 3 years now but have come up with nothing.
The ACA has successfully flattened the healthcare cost curve and signed up almost 14M people - not bad for a rocky start, Did we expect to solve these huge problems in a year or 2?
