“He was never arrested in Finland. But that's beside the point. Cory Monteith, rest his sole, had a serious problem that involved drugs and alcohol. It cost him hs life. And you're saying Adam is a drunk pot head. You'd have something worse to say about Cory apparently. Go away and go back to your Bieber website. Cory was supposedly a nice guy, but not one of the better singers on the show.”

“I don't get your statement about Phillip Phillips, he is beyond mediocre, just another WGWG, but I agree with you on JLo. She has to be the most overrated performer out there. She was a pretty good actress so she should stick to that. So many talented people out there, some former IDOLs and they went with JLO? I'm not an Urban fan (don't like country) but Harry is truly a star. He knows music. Randy is tiresome at this point. I won't be watching.”

“I love this collaboration so much. Lay Me Down should be a huge song. After seeing what limited talent exists in the music world (the VMAs are revealing), it's time we get some real vocal and musical talent on the radio. Adam Lambert deserves to be a big star. He could be in movies, on TV (will be on Glee) and have his own talk show. He is extremely witty and articulate.”

“I appreciate your candid reply. I actually was classically trained as well. Piano and voice and earned a music degree. Most of pop music is mediocre to me. When you say you hate Adam as a person, I wonder if it's the AMAs or the Les Mis comment (I admit I agreed with him on that) or his general persona? I have followed him for years (first time for me to follow a pop star), and have changed my views on him and other issues such as marriage equality. I was angry at him at first until I saw what he's been up to lately. We are certainly all entitled to our opinions. Thanks.”

“You are so right Chica63. But in a land where Taylor Swift and Bieber (and those like him) are so huge, you can imagine anyone just jumping at the opportunity to slam a great singer and performer who didn't do what they said. I am disgusted with the bloggers who are just looking for hits. They got them didn't they and Adam takes the hit. I will not buy the soundtrack but the movie was good. The group performances and some individual performances were good (not super), but Crowe had no business being in the movie. What was Hooper thinking?”

“I admit I won't read your article, because I'm sure it's derogatory toward's Adam. He didn't diss the movie and suggested we see it. I read the reviews but still saw it. I have been frustrated with Les Mis and other musicals for years because Hollywood has to cast non-singer (in this case Russel Crowe, Tom Cruise in Rock of Ages) or bad singers because the need to draw numbers. Nick Jonas got to do the 25th Anniversary edition and I refused to buy it. Marius is a huge role (as is Javert with Crowe) and Jonas was terrible. We are staunch musical theatre buffs and think good singers should get the roles. I expect Taylor Swift or Britney may get a lead in Wicked if they make it a movie. Comeon. Find someone different to attack for once.”

Sy4east on Dec 31, 2012 at 20:00:43

“Nick Jonas did a completely respectable job. And so did Eddie Redmayne. If you do not think so, then you simply don't have the ear for identifying good singing over bad singing, which must be very frustrating.”

“Screechy freak? You are a jerk.... have you even heard him sing? Then again, if you think Taylor Swift or Bieber or Perry can sing, god forbid Steve Tyler (talk about screechy), this is pointless. You wouldn't know great talent if it slapped you in the face. Many (probably most) great singers and performers don't get the recognition they deserve. Adam will be fine and probably be able to last in this business in some form for a long time. He just won't sell out arenas which is what 99% of artists rarely do. Doesn't mean he isn't great.”

“I agree. The haters even still try to use the BS line that he "screams" too much. Ignorance is thinking someone with a smooth 4-octave plus range is screaming on the high notes. They've never heard anyone reach that level I guess. Everyone who works with him praises him. Great vocal coaches and singers rave about him. He is loved all over the world by passionate fans. He'll never have the numbers that Bieber, Perry, Swift, Spears, whomever have, but he'll be ok. Radio has snubbed him and America as well. I don't listen to radio anymore, but my kids have no choice if they want to fit in. Buy satellite radio! I wish they'd say how much it cost to insure his voice for whatever amount.”

“Both his albums were great and critically acclaimed. If we go for radio and TV exposure, which Lambert doesn't get for some questionnable reasons, then I guess GLAAD should just nominate Taylor Swift, Bieber, Britney (6 number one albums) and oh let's see Nicky Minaj or a few other. I doubt you've even listened to it. iTunes put it in the top 10 for 2012 (and it isn't a top seller). Adam is snubbed but still stands up for the LBGT community. I have never even been to a gay website or watch the GLAAD awards until I started following him. I have a stinkin login to "Guide to Gay.com." He has made a difference.

I am sick at how little respect he gets in the gay community. I am surprised that he is nominated for this award given how people like you and the gay community trashes one of the best singers and live performers I've seen. Did you ever think, scaredy pants (I do believe it's fear that is squashing Adam), that his live concerts and great work (albeit short time) with Queen may have also played a roll? I guess I better start listening to Scotty McCreery....after all he sells more records in America (don't forget we don't count sales outside America) and is cute. Hundreds of guys sound like McCreery....no one sings like Adam. By the way, how many openly gay artists are fipping up the charts? Stupid America!”

I know buying downloads is more popular than buying albums, but without radio airplay, he won't see the sales he needs. Us glamberts are looking for any ideas on how to improve this.”

“Thanks Huffington. I know Adam is hurt all over because of who he is even though, as you said, pop artists have been singing about this for years. But it seems radio and sales are affected by our homophobic notions in America. It is a bummer that he won't see the airplay he deserves. You and I both know that if Katy Perry, Bruno, Britney or Kelly sang some of these songs, they'd be hits. Adam could sing any of a number of big hits out there instead of the original artists and they probably wouldn't chart. I don't appreciate his snubbing in the industry. But people like you can help change this. We appreciate your candid and kind remarks.”

“I can't believe the whole world doesn't see what a performer Adam is. He definitely sang these songs with more power, range and dynamics than Freddie did, but we know Freddie was great. Adam is opera-trained and has loved rock and roll all his life. He is special. I miss Freddie, but I think he's be proud. Adam can live the life Freddie never could. They are both great showmen.”
