“JA is living, breathing proof that hotness doesn't necessarily end by 40. Maybe Jen's not surface-of-the-sun scorching anymore but she still heats it up pretty damn good. A big two thumbs up from this reader!”
“Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. This country would be a whole lot better off if there were more Lawrence O'Donnell's responding to these sorts of typical chicken hawk GOP lies and distortions. My only objection to the whole exchange is that Thiessen deserved an even bigger slap down than he got.

“Wow. Lotta hating on Sarah going on here today....
Rating her looks all depends on your point of view. She's 39. By entertainment industry standards she's nothing special but how many people are? Certainly not me or the vast majority of the Sarah haters posting here today. By real world standards, however, she's way hotter than most other 39 year olds out there. I'd have no problem telling her she's pretty if she were my significant other.
As far as her comedy, I think she's funny but I can understand why many people don't.”
“I have two questions for the defenders of bull fighting as a so-called "cultural event".
Is the central Asian "sport" of bear bating, where a chained and muzzled bear is torn to pieces by a pack of ravenous dogs, also a valid cultural event?
Is the carnage of bear bating really all that different from the ritualistic slaughter of an already seriously injured and semi-incapacitated beast in the bullring?
At their core, each event is a gory spectacle of slaughter staged to satisfy tens or hundreds or thousands of onlookers. It seems to me that barbarity is barbarity, no matter what culture is chooses to cloak itself within.”

“Let's look at some very acceptable "cultural" events: high school sports, beauty pageants, eating contests... the question is, is it proper to judge a culture from the outside? Are you going to decide what's humane or culturally ok for everyone? Are you more "civilized"?”
“This is typical twisted right wing commentary about Roosevelt. FYI, both liberal and conservative historians consistently rank FDR as one of the 3 greatest US presidents. The far right's saintly Ronald Reagan, by comparison, rarely ranks in the top ten. Maybe you should study a little history before espousing such ill informed opinions, Corporal.”

“It's NOT twisted. It's at least 2/3 accurate. The sad part i that Srage is so bitter an ideologue that he focuses only on that. Yes, FDR was the greatest modern president.”
“What a blow American sovereignty. SCOTUS has handed over a major say in our politcal system to any quasi-governmental foreign owned corporations with an axe to grind. Imagine for instance a day in the not too distant future when the first ads start to appear from Chinese owned corporations attacking politicians who are supporters of Taiwan. Or perhaps it will be Middle Eastern based corporations pouring millions of advertising dollars into attacking Representatives and Senators who are Jewish or who are simply supporters of Israel. I could cite many more example but you get the idea. Pandora's box has been thrown wide open and our democracy will suffer tremendously as a result.
Open your eyes, Tea Partiers, Palinites, Becksters and Ditto Heads. This is the sort of calamity that your Republican party and their activist conservative judges have wrought....”
“Let's not forget that many of the corporations that will be opening their treasuries to fund compliant candidates and assail those their mangement doesn't like will be foreign owned multi-nationals. So in effect the Supreme Court has just opened the floodgates to potentially unlimited foreign interference in American elections. And this is good for the country?”
