“I'm calling BS on this. It's fairly obvious he wasn't calling her a ho. But we are so PC today that we are willing to twist anything to get one up on our opponents.

It's a nonsense discussion. Let's discus name calling while the country fails financially. Sounds logical.”

BBackSoon on Apr 26, 2012 at 17:11:11

“No, I think it was totally calling her a ho, but with a built in deniability.

And you want to just gloss over it like it didn't happen, instead of saying, Man that's not cool, why would you do that. When they looked at that they should have said, even if we don't mean it we should not say it. But that is not how the Repubs work.”

Yay! Because it wasn't them lying on Fox News and in the House and in all those press conferences. Go GOP!

Because I'll tell you this, the GOP doesn't give one sh*t about you or anyone else unless you have millions and are giving some of it to them to "take back the country." They've proved it over and over. The Dems aren't roses, but I'd take them over any GOPer any day of any week of any year.”

Just because a lot of people think the joke is funny doesn't mean it's ok. I get the difference between comedy and the real world. I'll admit, maybe it's just my opinion that jokes about harming others aren't funny. I don't think it should be a joke. I find it sad that people find it funny. It's a sad commentary when harm of others is ok to joke about.”

“Seriously? What are we defending here?

Here's the simple answer. Joking or not, it is not funny to joke about harming others in any way. Whether stabbing your son or raping someone, harm to others is not funny no matter who is the judge.

People that do find harm to others funny have a psychological problem and should probably seek help. And I don't have to hear the joke to tell that.”

“Really, a joke about harming someone is not funny? That's funny, because there was a study done and it was found that "the world's funniest joke" was about killing someone. You can find it on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World's_funniest_joke

Here's the joke: Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps, "My friend is dead! What can I do?". The operator says "Calm down. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says "OK, now what?"

You see, most people are able to understand the difference between comedy and the real world. I'm sorry that you can't appreciate that joke because it is incredibly witty and hilarious.”

“The HCR bill was discussed, pulled apart and changed during the course of a year BY DEMOCRATS. It was because the Democrats couldn't agree. They had to appease each other. It wasn't changed by the GOP or the tea party members.

And the tea partiers and conservatives that were yelling and screaming weren't all yelling about made up stuff. Some of them, many of them, genuinely didn't like the bill and the true stuff in it. But the methods really weren't different because like I said, Dems only negotiated with Dems.

I do think she was objective in her questioning. She simply asked why was it ok now when it wasn't then. Jesse could have answered and given a decent answer. I'm not usually a fan of Fox News at all, but I do think she was fair this time.”

“I disagree with you. I believe she did a good job in this interview. And she is right.

What she pointed out is that when Tea Party members went to town halls and asked questions of congressmen and also protested in similar ways the left freaked out and they did ramrod the healthcare bill through. But now the left is upset because the GOP used their own tactic. It is what it is.

And Gov. Walker couldn't sit down with Dems. They left the state.

Though I usually fall left on many issues, I have to agree with Megyn Kelly on this one. She did her homework and was actually pretty objective in her questioning. So, I'll get flamed for this on this website, but good job Megyn and Fox.”

mawrm on Mar 12, 2011 at 01:43:52

“Big difference- the Tea Party members were offered a forum to have their voice heard. Unfortunately, too many chose instead to be disruptive, denying the general public to rationally discuss issues.
In this particular case, Governor Walker didn't even offer a forum for folks to offer a dissenting opinion. He didn't offer or invite Dem proposals and as others have noted even turned down more moderate proposals from his fellow Republicans. It was his way or the highway, and therefore several Dem reps literally chose the highway, out of the state.
So no, Megyn Kelly was not objective at all and intentionally misrepresenting the situation - there is absolutely no comparison to how the Tea Party members were treated during the health care debate (which went on for MONTHS and included Republican proposals) versus Gov. Walker's union busting fiat.”

Uchenna Oguekwe on Mar 11, 2011 at 23:54:27

“Your post is too funny. The HCR bill was discussed, pulled apart, and changed during the course of a year. Tea Party members yelled and screamed at elected officials during town hall meetings that they want their country back when no one has taken it from them. They screamed about things that weren't even in the bill, like death panels. Some of them had to be escorted out. As for Gov. Walker, he decline to even discuss a compromise bill brought up by a Repub Senator. As exposed in the prank phone call, he was only willing to sit down to talk to the em Senators not to compromise, but to lure them back into the state so Repubs can pass the bill. If you think she was "pretty objective" in her questioning, you need to watch the video clip again.”

"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion..."

This was done by President John Adams. At the time of the founding fathers in 1797. People will argue that the founding fathers were religious or christian, but I think that statement, whether the treaty is in effect or not anymore, plainly says what the founding fathers intended, and with good reason.

But, I think this, as well as your points will get ignored.”

“And, JOHN, those people have said they are willing to pay more. But strip them of rights to negotiate?

And why not pay them a little more or give them some benefits. These are people risking their lives for your private sector jobs. Private sector jobs are not risking their lives daily, putting themselves endanger for enforcing the laws. Private sector jobs are not running into fires to put them out. And private sector jobs are not being given the responsibility of teaching our youth for our future when their parents in the private sector are not willing to help those teachers out. So many teachers even spend parts of their paycheck to do their job, to buy supplies and other things to help teach those kids. Their own money!!!

But that's all the stuff your little republicans are forgetting to mention. Something you'd do well to remember. Their job is more dangerous or difficult than pushing a register button, or sitting in a cubicle, or programming software. So, yes, bargaining rights are important. This isn't about paying for a little more of their fair share. They've clearly said YES to that, and what's despicable is that people like you will not recognize that, and that republicans and the people they convince with their lies won't recognize the facts and operate off of them.”
