“Read the Huffington Post Mr Obama and find out what people are thinking about you and your presidency.”

“Yes, that's how we want our President to make decisions. Why would we want a President to base his decisions on classified and verified information that none of us have before us? Why would we expect him to solicit advice from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, CIA, and military leaders when all he has to do is take a popularity poll? Yeah, that's a really great way to defend our nation. Let's all get the opinions from the people who watch 24/7 rating wars that use fear, prejudice, and a great deal of misinformation to win their ratings wars. What a scary idea!”
“I will never vote for a politician who ignores the will of the people. And speaking of another idiot, Pelosi and her comment on her 5 year old grandson's comment on Syria. Ever wonder why people get so disgusted with politics and politicians? Now we know.”
“Oh please. Follow the trail of bodies in the Middle East under the Obama Admin watch, including Amb. Stevens, the Navy Seals. The man takes responsibility for none of them. We have terrorists rampant in the Middle East again.”
“Re-fanned? For old time sake??
Anyway, Harry S Truman is the President I was speaking of and thinking if we had a president like Truman back in 2001, the Middle East would be humbly trying to piece itself back together after a bombing after Sept. 11. Harry S Truman made the decision to put an end to the war with the savage Japanese army.”
“I hope Congress puts the kibosh on this Syria plan. This is liable to escalate to something way out of control with an unreliable, weakling president. Before we elect the next president, let's all read up on Harry S Truman and how he handled matters.”

“Interesting...weak???? Hardly - he took a buzz saw to OBL etc...you're playing checkers while he's playing chess...”

“Truman -- interesting.
Isn't he the one who refused to get involved in staging a coup in Iran, whereas Eisenhower was persuaded to go along with it (and gave an intriguing farewell speech)?
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
“I often wonder why Huff Post posters always mange to bring GWB into present day politics? That being said, All of the past presidents would have been better butting out of Middle East problems. Look how many American lives we have lost already? If we could only go back in time and handle it differently.”
“If you say no other president has been held up to a looking glass, you could not be more wrong. As far as Obama and his choices of when and what to speak about, he has made it clear where he stands and the issues that are only important to him.”

“Really? What other President has been barraged with: Birth Certificate nonsense, school records, lies about vacation days, debt limit nonsense, and now, nonsense about which murders he responds to and outright misrepresenting of what was said and when it was said?
Obama responded to the Martin murder 25 days after, when it was clear that justice for Trayvon wasn't the top priority for Samford police. (it took 44 days to charge him). In this case after 11 days he, after being bombarded by false equivalencies, makes a response to a foreign national being murdered (whose killers have been charged and arrested) and somehow conservatives claim he is more interested in the murder of a black kid because he is "racist", or "lazy" or "lacking leadership", primarily by showing empathy for a grieving family.”
“Why, you hold Obama up to a looking glass that no other President has had to be held to. If Obama not mentioning one murder over another is a sign of his leadership, why is it that prior presidents get a pass on all of the hundreds and thousands of murders that happened under them? Why do they get to a pass as a leader?”
