“If this article were a journalism assignment, would it pass? Stunning lack of information.”
airborneinore on Dec 9, 2013 at 22:05:19
“Not to mention the information that is there is confusing. Like where was the baby when the officer fired his weapon ?, on the ground or being held by the gunman?”

“wow and if the police give no details they should make it up,or wait till they have all the facts?so maybe after the inquiry into this?i know no article should be published till after the trial for the crime,.so all the facts are in.so we can read about stuf 4-5 years ago.”

“And if you wrote that sentence in Englaish class, you would have been marked down for poor use of grammar.
All journalism is is reporting: who, what, when, where, and how... and that should be in the first paragraph. The rest is fill in information.”
“No lies, either stated or by omission. No excuses as to "why" the lie was told.
I like that as a policy in my friends and family, why not in the PRESIDENT?
I don't believe for a second that anyone "forgot" to ask B. Obama about his uncle.”
“WBC has done more for "anti-Christianity" than those things deemed truly "sinful" in this world.
I believe God's judgment on them will be harsher than many others that WBC assumes will bear the brunt of his judgment.
Bottom line: WBC should be fired by God for negative marketing!”
“I am the last person who would normally even weigh in on this subject, as I think there are such bigger issues to address as a state/country.
But, after almost 10 years of debilitating pain, 7 spinal surgeries, and severe reactions to narcotic pain meds, I would like this as an option.
Seriously, folks, in a society plagued by alcoholism and prescription pain med addiction, why are we fighting over this?
As with most things in life, moderation should be used. Why don't we ever learn this?”

“I love the commercial, and hope KMart stands strong on the issue. The things that this country gets "up in arms" about vs. the things they ignore that should get their attention? Perplexing and disturbing to me.”
“This is one of the worst and most startling stories to come out of the entire Obamacare debacle! Whoops! I said it....will I be unemployed by tomorrow? I truly cannot believe that this is happening in America, and we are powerless to do anything about it. Evil is insiduous and I think are simply letting it happen.”

“The scary part of it is that 39% of the people still think that Obama is doing a good job. Remember we are not powerless. If the other 59% of the people band together Obama can be removed from office!”

“What's shocking about it? Obama rewards incompetence and punishes the truth. This is nothing new.”
“Like it or not, regardless of party affiliation, to me, this "act" is completely un-American. It leaves little choice to the tax paying American, and comes with a monetary penalty for not doing as the government says. The fact that it is almost impossible to comply at this point d/t the inexcusable website snafus makes it even more suspect. How many of us have had seemingly thousands of conference calls and meetings when rolling out a new program or project? And they didn't know the website didn't work??? And this is "highest" government at work? Pretty dang scary. There will be lawsuits, more money wasted, and then probably a return to a system that will still be broken.”
“For all the questions regarding why in the world?...... You have got to keep a historical perspective on stories like this. We too often forget that the world looked very different out of the eyes of those living in it at the time.”

“It's too bad the this world still does not feel and act like that today. Back than people had morals. Today there is none! Instead of adoption, it's murder, a abortion! Praying for this Nation!”
“Here's an idea: In the interest of American kindness and "pay it forward," let every American with a good job and insurance "adopt" ONE American with no job, no insurance, etc., and just send a monthly check to them. (I would recommend a cashier's check, since this will be an anonymous plan.
If I thought my financial support went to someone specific, it may change the way I feel about the government taking SO SO much from me and handing it out as a third party!

“You've been sending about a thousand bucks a year to the health insurance companies to cover the uninsured. Try to remember the distinction between government plans of any sort (they're not in it for profit) and private plans (which are, and do so handsomely). And btw, exactly your plan was proposed by Todd ("A woman's body has ways of taking care of that.") Akin.”

“I think we've all done that. It's called taxes. And some of the money we pay goes to pay retired seniors on MEDICARE.
But as any senior well tell you, medicare sucks and they wish they didn't have that socialized medical program.”
“And don't forget modeling appropriate behavior. That starts with a new baby, and continues on throughout adulthood. (Being Authentic).
And how does an adult model appropriate behavior? Not a hard question. How would most answer it?”

What is your perspective now?”

“The same. She, like many other African-Americans, have fallen for the centuries old notion that black people by their very existence serve as repellents to growth and development. It's self-hatred at its best. She needs to pick her Bible back up and ask herself why she doesn't think all people are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God, because she's no better than a white person who despises black people or who perpetuate stereotypes.”

“This would usually be good advice, but there are many levels and causes of back pain. I have six levels of spinal fusions (degenerative disc disease), nerve pain, and the hardware in my spine (cervical and lumbar), while necessary for my condition, make walking often almost impossible.
I ran 4-5 miles a day for years; don't think that I am a couch blob! Not being able to walk long distances has been the biggest cause of frustration for me as I adjust to a less "energetic" lifestyle.
Every single evening that I am able, I walk one of the dogs (usually the old, crippled one!) just as long as we can both take it.
This article almost made me feel guilty! Some of us do what we can do, deal with things as best as possible.”

“You have chronic pain. It's not your fault. Our health Insurancedoes'nt cover what we ned to heal, so we have to fight everyday to eat, sleep, even walk. And now, they decided to take away the only medication that works on deep chronic pain.
Pain Management groups are *sadistic*, *torturous*, *drug dealers*.”
“I don't think that the US government was set up to run big business. When I look at how the government has adversely affected education, why in the world do we think that they can run an insurance business?
If it wasn't so scary, it would be laughable.”

“jjv1864, you are right about education. I am so happy I am out of it after 25 years.
The children today are not going to know who Lincoln, Washington or any of our fore fathers were........they are going to be taught about communism.....I know several families who are taking their children out of the public school and putting them in private schools that are not funded by the Government..............”

“And who gave you the idea that the Gvt was running healthcare? The fact is the Insurance Companies are running healthcare, under guidlines set forth by the Govt. Thats a big difference from your claim..
By the way the privitization of Education, will lead to only certainly people being able to afford the luxury of an Education, and ultimately render the United States incapable of competeing with other nations. Look at the various states in terms of education, and how its administered. Look specifically at the Red States, and their numbers... Mitch McConnels state rates almost at the bottom of the educational spectrum for example.”
“Very articulate, and I support Mr. Baldwin. I think the media and the accompanying paparazzi are shameful, not remotely professional and condescending in their belief that we want to hear/see the results of their "work."”
“Think about it: Most women spend the majority of their lives discontent with their bodies, and thus, themselves. No self-love, no appreciation of all of the things that our marvelous, fabulous bodies are capable of, none of the confidence that they assume other women have.
The real irony? The "skinny" and "thin" women we so want to emulate? They have the same negative self image. Seriously, ladies, we need to get a grip. This compelling urge to "fix" ourselves is bleeding over into self obsession. One day it will be too late to love yourself!!”
“I was also in a high income bracket, with corporately paid great health insurance.
Things can change. I am presently using COBRA ($612/month) but only until March. I am also having to have spine surgery #7 in 2 weeks. I have ALSO started my own company, and can probably make more income than I ever have, with just a few "breaks."
After preliminary worksheet figure, my Obamacare premiums will be almost $2000 per month. That is a deal breaker for me. What are my options? Going on disability? Lying about who owns my company? Being non-compliant in my surgical recovery trying to make as much money possible in order to pay insurance premiums? BTW...I am 60, in fabulous health except for the spine/discs that I inherited from my Dad.
Obamacare is the "gateway" drug for a socialist government.”
“I find it appalling that people whom are elected to ANY office, essentially being paid by the "public," become mute and inaccessible to those people who are paying them. There needs to be a "Lobbyist" website for people to give LEGITIMATE and specific feedback, like a focus group with specific examples of what doesn't work and why. I have spent my entire career in corporate healthcare, and find this to be an incredibly and overwhelmingly a big cluster with so much "smoke" blowing that the big issues are camoflauged by chaos and confusion. Obamacare is NOT GOING TO BE THE ANSWER TO THE REAL INSURANCE ISSUES FACING THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS>
How dare they shut down what we pay for? Our system is so broken that I don't have anything but frustration.....and lots of fear.”
