“But, please remember that those pieces would be exibited in people's homes, or wherever, be worn, etc., other people would see them and and want similar stuff, and so the torture and killings continue.”

“Not necessarily... Also museums could buy them as cultural pieces.”
“I said it happens, how often even you don't know, pay attention. Disney is on my sh**list, but will watch NatGeo.”

“In nature, every time a predator has a meal, it's because it killed its prey first. Every time a scavenger eats, it's because something else died. Even your cute little meerkats attack each other over territory, and meerkat groups die out because of predators, starvation or epidemic disease. Yes, life is so much better in nature. Old style zoos that housed animals in small cages were cruel. But modern zoos recreate natural habitat, without the predators, starvation or disease, and play a vital role in species preservation.”
“Sometimes all of that happens, but they're free. Since we're all animals, ask the former East Germans, whom the government provided everything for, what they preferred. Or any prisoner for that matter.”

“"Sometimes all of that happens ..."
No, that happens always in nature. Stop watching the Disney channel.”
“Zoos are exploitive and cruel. Even at that people go. For the most part they don't know what they're looking at, don't understand basics about the prisoners. The most exciting part is the cafateria/hot dogs/hamburgers.”

“Animals have it so much better in the wild. They get eaten. Or starve because there isn't enough food. Or their mothers kill them at birth, or their fathers. The weak ones get kicked out to fend for themselves or left behind die. Nature is so wonderful. No, wait, nature is so exploitative and cruel.”

“Do you think all those prey animals in the Zoo would rather be taking their chances on the veldt or whatever other buffet-table they live in? I do feel sorry for predators who may not be engaged in enough enrichment activity. (Not enough enrichment, and the predator makes his own...like this Tiger).”
He won't ever be offered parole.
His victims (and us) won''t have to hear or read about him every few years when he goes through his parole hearings.
And no-one has to pay to support him in Prison for the rest of his life.
Its a win/win.”

“Thank the stars for that! What we already know is unspeakable beyond all understanding so what he takes to his grave is probably more than we can stomach.”

“What? That truth is stranger than fiction? If you're looking for a reason for the spike in these kinds of crimes the answer is generally in the perp's childhood. Can it be fixed? Since we do not all react the same to abuse as children, the answer is we can't fix the worst of these offenders.”
“While driving very slow in neighborhood couple of days ago I spotted a chipmunck wanting to cross the street. It was a miracle that I was able to stop just in time, tires squeeching, out of breath .. must have been that god. Take care.”

“How ironic. I had a similar experience. While drviing very fast in the neighborhood the other day I tried to avoid somewho who braked carelessly for a rodent. I think it may have been a chipmunck.
Oops. Didn't quite get to the brakes, and no screeching tires... but..... BANG.
Must have been that damn GOD.”

“As you must be aware, we are all entitled to our own opinions.
With all due repect, I think yours may border on ridiculous.
The perverbial chipmunck may be the one in the vast void between your ears.
“Well, thanks for covering just about eveything, except honey. Yes, you are right that would be cruel. Been vegan for over 35 yrs. and will be for life, but not for my health, just ethics. Health is a nice benefit, though. Take care, Butch.”
