“Thank goodness for that. I left in 1992 and I have never been happier. No Gang bangers, pollution, massive regulation, traffic jams. The weather is nice but Florida is better.”

“Wealthy business owners are not stupid. Many will leave. They can still set up a corporate residence and stay 3 months per year in CA. I would move to Washington State and live in CA during the winter months. The best of both worlds.”

“Sorry Howard but GM Still owes the American People $42 million dollars (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2012/07/27/government_motors_still_owes_taxpayers_42_billion)
They still need more money! GM is a long way from being rescued. If Obama is elected they will need another bailout.”

“The problem with unions is that their goals are diametrically opposed to the goals of a Free market business. Unions want more vacation, more paid holidays, more healthcare, and more pension. The problem is that in a free market capitalism when a union reaches too far they are no longer competitive. In Socialistic states where Gov't control and regulate the market to a larger degree, unions are fine...Until you have to compete with other countries... Just ask France.”

“Thank you Barrack Hussein!”

“How is Obama responsible for American Airlines cancelling any flights??? Labor relations in the airline industry in general and many other transportation companies have been contentious for well before Obama came onto the scene.

If you are going to blame a president, you may want to try Jimmy Carter whose administration pushed for deregulation of the airline industry and was successful. Deregulation put the squeeze on airline workers.

Try doing some research on transportation economics and transportation labor relations before posting comments like this.”

My Conversation With Harrison Ford

Commented Apr 16, 2013 at 19:59:34 in Media

“The cohesiveness that Ford Talks about is totally absent today in the black community. In the 40's and 50's the Black nuclear family was still intact with low divorce rates and out-of wedlock births, similar to white families. Unfortunately the Great Society arrived and Uncle Sam replaced the Black fathers in many instances. We can see the destruction of those late 50's and early 60's ideas in place.”

Gaaltero on Apr 17, 2013 at 09:20:23

“The breakdown of the Black family is do to the continual hostility of whites towards Black folks at every turn. It's much easier to keep a family together when you have employed parents, have access to a good education, and don't have racist cops and a legal system trying to stigmatize you with a criminal record. Employment discrimination, financing discrimination, housing discrimination, and law enforcement discrimination all conspire to destroy Black people. But thank goodness we are conscious and are fighting back. The focus of we who are conscious know that the way to fix the problem is to focus on the source of our problem, to focus on power itself which isn't necessarily the same as fixing the secondary symptoms of lack of power.”

nolas on Apr 17, 2013 at 00:41:24

“The Great Society did not wean black family responsibility into government foster care, that's a useful but empty talking point of anti-government sentiment. Deindustrialization and suburbanization (largely the white middle class tax base) dissolved the working class family structures and employment opportunities (and corresponding support networks) that contributed to the kind of cohesiveness you are including with 1950s low divorce rates and out-of-wedlock births.”

“Rasmussen Reports, the most accurate poll has Romney up by 2%. And leading in most battleground states. Romney also leads with 54-40% on independent voters. The NYT/CNN type polls are a joke, they typically oversample dems by 8-10%, and under sample independents by 15-20%. Not good news if you an Obama supporter.”
