“Did I say it was the same thing? No. I lived it for just seven years. A lifetime dealing with racism is unacceptable and needs to be changed. It is the same way I feel about the sexism I have lived with every day of my life.”
“You have something to say about your race, while I can still speak about mine. There needs to be a conversation, not a lecture. I want to know about your views and experiences, but please don't disregard mine. I experienced racism when I lived and taught on a reservation for seven years. I watched my students experience racism as well and I lashed out at the perpetrators. Is that experience the same? No. However, I would love to compare notes and learn from it. I'm a very curious person and I want to understand human nature in all it's aspects. I just don't want to be told that in a particular subject I am worthless.”

“I'm glad that you are curious and want to learn. I would suggest learning about institutionalized racism and white privilege. This would give you a broader understanding of racism beyond "interpersonal racism" which is the main way that racism is understood.
It's important also to try to understand why people of color may distrust white people's sincerity in talking about race. You may have experiences that give you insight, and it will be even more important for you to reach out and find out about other people's experiences. Take an ethnic studies course. Take a white studies course. Read "Lies My Teacher Told Me," by James Loewen. Good luck!”

“You "experienced racism?" HA! Try living it every day of your life!”
“I think you mean the slavery that is still happening here. Sadly, sex slavery is alive and well. I wish we could harness the anger over past wrongs to stop current wrongs. Slavery is a horrible thing.”
“John Adams would disagree.
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Musselmen; and as the said States never have entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mehomitan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."”
“I think he was implying "all" priests not just a few exceptions to the rule.”

“well, married Catholic men can become Maronite priests. The discipline of celibacy should be retained for some orders. This arose out of the monastic orders and was found to be a good way.
Instead of changing the Latin rite, it would be preferable to just allow for more of the Maronite, Chaldean etc. rite Catholic Churches to open up parishes”

“Please explain your statement. Are you saying all white people want to be slave owners? I'm really confused.”

“I am saying that before white involvement in slavery a slave could still be released and it wasn't generational nor was it race related. Once whites got involved slavery evolved into a mental mess that has lasted 500yrs!”
“They've also advertised that they have supplies for people to loot.”

“Now me, I do not keep tons of food on hand, 20 lbs of rice, canned goods, food that needs no refridgeration, something easily put into my pickup, fishing poles, 3 bows, 2 recurve, 1 cross bow, wire for snares, camping equipment I have on hand not kept for any apoclypse, merely am a avid out doorsman, former marine who has forgotten more survival knowledge than many will ever know, former boyscout, as a young boy I had no idea those camping trips, jamborees were a good thing! All one really needs is water, knowlege that water needs to be boiled 5 minutes, you can die of thirst within 3 days maybe 4 if your extra tough, starvation within 3 to 4 weeks depending on how much extra fat your carrying!:-) Guns will be initially good, but once time goes by they can deteroriate, bullets exposed to weather hot and cold likely turn to duds, moisture/condensation does not do gun powder any favors, now a smart person who knows what the frost line is in their area, bury's their ammo below the frost line in a water/air proof container might have ammo long term! Buried catches of food, ammo, supplies below frost line is wiser than hunkering down in a home, basement, bunker! Me I will get as far away as I can before the gas runs out from the crazies! Let them have each other and the to dumb to leave!”
