Hasan's Supervisor Warned Army In 2007, Claimed He Could "Put Patients In Danger"
Commented Nov 19, 2009 at 00:46:33 in Home
“One very telling thing about this case and why Hasan wasn't stopped comes from a Saturday morning round-table type show on PBS. It has the usual liberal-media folks like Nina Totenberg and some guys from Newsweek, WaPo, NYT, and Charles Krauthammer is usually the conservative voice of reason. He was absent on the day after the shooting and all the liberal media people were wringing their hands, upset about how unfortunate it was that "it just happened" to be a Muslim who did this. They were all concerned about how conservatives would "use" this and there would be a terrible backlash against innocent Muslims.
One week later, same group of libs, a lot of new info came out about Hasan over the week, and it turns out his religion was integral in his attack. NOT one of them ever admitted that they might have been wrong to be so PC last week as to think that Islam had nothing to do with it. Or that they are ALWAYS wrong when they predict a violent backlash against innocent Muslims after an Islamic attack on us. They acted like their foolish, naive comments 7 days earlier did not exist. Down the Memory Hole...”

That's one helluvan oxymoron. Using it to describe Krauthammer makes it all the more ridiculous.
Krauthammer and his ilk never admitted they were wrong to not only cheerlead, but catapult the propaganda (LOL, I still find that hilarious) before invading Iraq and during the occupation. “Unfortunately, we are in an era where a coalition between government and the "news" media ALWAYS preys on people's fear and ignorance. 9/11 made the PATRIOT Act necessary and WMDs in Iraq made the war there necessary. The new "Great Depression" of 2008 made TARP, Cash for Clunkers, and the bailouts of AIG and GM and Chrysler necessary.
Now the fearmongering about climate chance will force a new energy tax, and people's fears about their own health care will force a "reform" that will benefit both the government and the insurance companies at a greater cost to us.
We know that the elitists in DC and the news media are teamed up against us. Why must we always fall for it?”

Senate Dems Deal NRA Rare Defeat

“While this article seems to be about a glorious victory against the NRA, it's really a story about how unresponsive our government is. The senators only vote in the interests of their constituents when they are close enough to a reelection for people to remember. What a sick and un-democratic system.
Not that this vote was terribly important, but there should for a "no confidence" vote available for the people of the states to get rid of bums right away. That might make these jaded political operators take their job descriptions more seriously.”

But they never do any of these things. Look at what they are up to: Pushing us nearer to communism by nationalizing everything. Driving up the price of energy with the global warming scare. Driving our whole country into bankruptcy with ridiculous borrowing and spending.
Did ya hear that this year's deficit will be over 12% - or four times what a "safe" level of 3% is considered. That's one other thing that the liberal media fails to mention because they can't question their hero, BHO.”

“Commuter rail has it's place, especially in densely populated areas, but look here in Minnesota. Where they already have a multi-billion dollar deficit and they are planning to raise taxes across the board (not just on the wealthy or the smokers), they are building another light-rail leg for the metro. These trains don't stop anybody from driving; it starts in the suburbs where everyone has to drive to it. It just supposedly keeps down congestion in the city. The thing is, for the $billions$ that light-rail costs they could build more than enough roads into there.

“Are they kidding, making this a sexism issue? Why are men required to wear a suit, jacket and tie in the same buildings?
For anyone who doesn't know, there is a war about where the thermostat should be set; between men in jacket and tie, and women who wear half of that amount of clothes, mostly by their own choice.
Point is, men hate attire that women and businesses force on them, but we mostly deal with it without whining.”

“Love America and like free markets... can't worship them. Some regulation has to exist to prevent chaos. You can't have a football game without rules.
And why am I deemed a republican, because I dare to dissent here at Huffpo? libertron stands for libertarian. But when someone has to decide how to use finite resources that can be grabbed from different angles, it has to be the be the government and they have to be very careful.
Government capriciously deciding in the favor a small group, either the wealthiest people (Rs), or the poorest people (Ds), messes everything up.”

“I'm not stupid or uninformed. If something can be property of the public, then the gov has to decide how to allow use of that property to best serve the most people. In my case, I get over the air tv and the picture is way better with digital. I also get wireless internet and the quality/speed/reliability sucks.
These days, less people are using O-T-A TV, but way more are using cell and wifi devices. And the people using broadcast TV don't have to suffer; its $10 after the gov coupon to get a digital converter. So it's much better public use to spread the bandwidth out as tech allows and uses change.”

“So I exaggerate :) Or the article does? 6 million people are 2% of the population and they are either oblivious or procrastinators. Either way they need the shock to do something. I don't want them to go without TV forever, but a week or a month until they get their act together won't kill them.”
