“I agree with Rooster Coburn. Many sporting goods stores (i.e. Cabela's) offer classes with extremely knowledgeable instructors. Even well-versed sportsman can learn a lot from them.”

“I have friends that are very much into guns and they will be glad to show me how it works. I wont but any ammo until I get a safe and can take the entire gun apart and memorize what each part does. its just the way my brain is wired. I am mechanical by nature. if I do not understand the mechanics of something I will not use it.”
“Awww, that's sweet.
I wish you would've been my husband's mother. He was naturally "nerdy" and adept to math and science. His mom tried to avoid those subjects because she wanted him to be, in her words, "normal". Not too smart, because that would make him stand out and be subject to teasing.
Anyway, he's an engineer now and still adept at those subjects, but it makes me sad to think that his mom made him feel bad for being smart. WTH??
“I literally don't remember the last time I ate fast food and the reason is that it's expensive! I'd rather get quality food for 5-10$ more at a sit-down restaurant. Seriously, a meal for two people is at least $15. That's crazy.”

“I relate to this. My stress is mostly financially related. I, of course, have student loans, no health insurance, and no savings. But both my husband and I are employed, woooop!
Two things help me:
1) I don't watch the news. Ignorance is bliss.
2) Yoga/Deep breathing”

“I usually get the recommended 2.2 liters for women and I am STILL thirsty. Like, wake up in the middle of the night thirsty. I've always been that way, though. It's a pain.
Also, I'm no expert, but 4 cups is not very much.”

“it is not a water you should drink, try milk. seriously.
excessive water leech out minerals out of your body.
also how can they recommend a certain amount without taking

overhydration is a serious danger, check it out.”
“I love dogs. And sometimes people. But NOBODY cares what you named your dog, what tricks your dog does, or what your dog ate for dinner last night. You pet owners are sometimes FAR worse than over-sharing parents.”

“I have been known to post pictures on FB of my dogs soaking wet after a bath, catching a ball, etc. but I have no children at home, grandchildren are mostly grown up, and I have two dogs, and me. I don't do anything exciting, but I think the dogs do. lol”

“Did I mention that my dog had a slightly loose stool two days ago? You'll be relieved to hear that by this morning they were back to normal.”

“Dog owners love this stuff.
No dog ever lied to get elected. No dog ever stole votes.”

“I agree, some of us are over the top.
But I'm going to assume you prefer us over dog-beating/starving/ignoring pet owners. You have to admit, if you could choose a re-incarnation, you'd rather be a pampered pup than a starving 3rd world orphan.
Thanks for your comment - peace.”

“WRONG! You may not care, bit some of us are happy to listen to someone who needs to share about their pet. My older aunt shares about her dog all the time, and I am happy to listen.”
“I grew up in South Dakota. You literally could not pay me enough to live there again. I didn't know people could be anything other than poor until I moved. Never had health insurance. Never lived above the poverty level.
I'm now 21 and living as a middle-class citizen in a large metro. Amazing what a move can do.”

“and here I thought there was no middle class left...go figure.”
“Nutritionists love fads more than fashion designers. Quinoa? Flax? Chia? Green tea? F*** it.”
mary896 on Dec 2, 2012 at 18:30:20
“None of the things you listed are 'fads'. They're rediscovered STAPLES of the human diet from generations/centuries past that we've forgotten or passed over for EASY processed super simple chow. Just because it's new to you doesn't make it a fad. Yeah, green tea's a fad. Sheesh. And have you ever heard of the word 'knowledge'? That's when you learn about something and improve your mind and your life. Ignorance is NOT bliss.”
It's actually quite fascinating that the body can adapt to such an extreme size and an unbelievable amount of pressure on the joints and bones. It makes me curious, but not sad for her. Her body, her choice.”

“I'm not a mother but I empathize with the women commenting here who are lamenting the lack of chefs, personal trainers, etc. If I was rich, I would hire someone to follow me around and knock cookies out of my hand..seriously.
The other thing, is that even if new mothers get back to their original size their skin is not as taut. Celebrities also have the advantage of using laser treatments, tummy tucks, or whatever it is they do to get their skin elasticity back to normal.
In other words, I WISH I WAS RICH.”
eva07 on Oct 8, 2012 at 18:20:28
“Nah, you would fire the person after the first cookie.”
“These are all fairly reasonable requests, depending on the couple, but they are something that should be discussed and agreed upon privately. If you've gotta have your lawyer put these into a contract, don't worry..you won't be married for long anyways..”
