“You are correct. What we need is fair trade, not free trade.
Take shoes for example. If it costs a US manufacturer $8.00 to produce a pair of shoes then cheaplabor shoes that are imported into the US should have a duty placed on them that equals an $8.00 cost of production.
Then the quality of the shoes would be a deciding factor for consumer purchase.
If the quality of the US shoes couldn't match that of the imports the US shoe makers would go out of business. If our quality was better, then less shoes would be imported.
That's a win-win situation for US consumers and workers.
The present trade rules are only benefitting the CEOs who sold out the US and shipped jobs overseas so they could put a few more millions of dollars in their greedy pockets.”
“There's a real nice family down the street from me. Every year about this time they go all out for their yard man. They decorate their house all up and put up a big sign that says "Happy Birthday Jesus". I don't know what their religion is, if any, but it sure is nice to see them support the people who work for them. I wonder when the postal carrier's birthday is...”
“This sounds more like manslaughter than self defense.
The elderly man knocked on the shooter's door. He didn't try to enter the house, As long as the elderly man, or anyone for that matter, was outside the house the shooter had time to call the police. The shooter would certainly be within his rights to shoot someone who entered his house. But to go outside looking for a threat?
Na, that's manslaughter, at the least.”

“Oh come on. He was just celebrating his right to bear arms.”
What I do know is that if it were the FSU janitor's son instead of it's quarterback the outcome would be different.
The son of the janitor would have been jailed. His bond would be set so high he could not get out of jail before his trial. He would be assigned a public defender who would pressure, dog and harass him into accepting a plea bargain, guilty or not.
Once again, we see how "justice" in America depends entirely on who you know and how much money you have.”
“To me will farrell is not funny. Not now, not ever.
Everyone to their own choice, I know, but there are people who think slamming their hand in a door is funny.
Please don't send me links to video clips. I've tried to find the humor in all of them sent to me EVERY time I criticize "St. Lame of Farrell". They guy's just not funny.”

“Slamming a door on my own hand is not funny. Someone else doing so to their own hand is. ;)”

“Well put. I get slammed and sent links to this lame guy's video each time I express his lack of "funny-ness."
I saw him as a guest host for SNL a couple of years ago. He was walking through the audience, singing a lame song and appearing to be pissing on himself. This went on for about four or five minutes, but seemed like forever. The audience appeared to be dying of laughter. Really?!? That was funny?
To each, his or her own, I guess.”

“I so agree. He may be funny to teenagers and younger.”
“What is the consewervative knownothing plan to solve the health care/health insurance problem in the US? And it has to be better than the current consewervative knownothing plan: Don't get sick. If you do, die soon. If "90% of us are just fine" why is it that the "U.S. Ranks Last Among Seven Countries on Health System Performance Based on Measures of Quality, Efficiency, Access, Equity, and Healthy Lives"? http://www.commonwealthfund.org/News/News-Releases/2010/Jun/US-Ranks-Last-Among-Seven-Countries.aspx”
“Why do consewervative knownothings always root for America to fail? I mean, here's more proof right here. consewervative knownothings are enemies of America. It's time they were treated as such.”

“I thought we were talking about 40 million Americans without healthcare. 90% of us are just fine. Just because half wit liberals came up with a bad plan, were told so by the adults but pushed ahead anyway, now the adults are the enemy. OMG how are we ever going to negotiate a better plan until one side stops acting like children. Grow up and come to the table. We will forgive you and help figure it out.”
