“We are going to see millions of reasons that Medicare should have been gradually expanded to include everyone. That, the right thing, was never going to happen because it would have cut out the insurance crooks and ended their generous contributions to members of the House and Senate.”

“The Affordable Care Act is here to stay. That's a good thing. Too bad it isn't just an extension of Medicare. It's time to go all the way and cut out insurance companies altogether.”

StellaOne on Oct 11, 2013 at 10:45:20

“I hope you don't really believe that, because it would destroy this country. The only people I know who support Obamacare do so because they come out ahead financially. Many do NOT--especially young and healthy individuals. There will be some type of healthcare reform, but Obamacare is unmanageable, unaffordable, and unconstitutional. The Supreme Court will have no choice but to strike it down due to the Origination Clause of the US Constitution, as rewritten by Chief Justice Roberts as a TAX. All tax legislation must originate in the House of Representatives--Obamacare was a Senate bill. Just wait and see--it's SLOWLY working it's way up there. They will strike it down--and SAVE this country.

“Insurance companies still make money by providing those on Medicare with supplemental insurance for what Medicare doesn't pay. And that supplemental insurance to someone on a fixed income isn't cheap!!!!!!!”

Katie10 on Oct 11, 2013 at 10:21:45

“There is NOTHING affordable or caring about this law. People are now finding out that their premiums are doubling and tripling and their copays start at 6,000 dollars. When everyone has to get a plan that covers drug addiction, maternity care and mental health care even though they do not need it, the costs soar out of sight. The administration has NO IDEA how to run the insurance business.”

LouGots on Oct 11, 2013 at 11:46:53

“There are two ways of looking at this.

One point of view sees a 1% vs. 99% cleavage, while the other a 47% vs 53% breakdown.

The common-ist approach, that it's most of us versus "the rich," is a sham. Common-ism is doing what it has always done. It is aimed at levelling and despoiling the real middle class, the Kulaks that Stalin went after.”
