Lucky Paws Animal Adoption Finds Home For Blind Dog And His Guide

Lucky Paws Animal Adoption Finds Home For Blind Dog And His Guide

Commented Apr 9, 2011 at 17:45:15 in Impact

“"Their owner had to move and couldn't take them with him." I don't know about this particular owner's imperatives (it might have been an old person who had to move to a nursing home), but your pet should always be a prime consideration when deciding where to go or which place to live. They are a commitment, and you can't just give them away when it's not convenient having them any more.”

“There was an article in Reuters today about pets surviving their owners and how important it is that the owners make arrangement for the care of their pet in case they no longer can do that.”

“Nowhere does it say in the Koran that women have to be fully covered. I live in France, and spend half my time in Paris and half in Marseilles. I see more and more of these garments around (not to mention wearing full-body black or grey garments when you can see only the eyes, nose, and mouth). Just the other day, I sat in the metro next to a woman whose very eyes were covered in black cloth. It felt like being next to a corpse wrapped in a shroud. It really cast a chill in the metro.
This garment means conveys the image that women are impure, as they inspire impure feelings in men. It's probably as much a matter of identity as it is of religion.”

“What a truly caring, compassionate man, to go this far for a charitable action.
Why people need to kill animals to feel good about themselves I will never understand.”

“Had that bull not been killed and the other two driven off permanently, many in that village would have starved or nearly starved before the next harvest (provided the bulls went elsewhere).”

“@yannb
I'm also from France and this diet is all the rage right now. I know people of all ages who've given it a try, and for some it's been a resounding success. The trick is that since you can eat as much lean protein as you want, you never feel pangs of hunger. But I'm not sure it's that great for your kidneys, liver... Like all the rest, what works best is eat better, not necessarily less, and exercise.”

“fat is required to digest protein. lean meats are tough to digest. it'll wipe you out.”

An Open Letter to the Women Who Are Telling Me It's My Fault I'm Not Married

“Why would anyone want to be married to a guy who only needs a woman for food and sex? What's the point?”

Ed Baker on Mar 3, 2011 at 17:27:07

“Need? Who said need? I said "want." I'm gay - been married to the same man for 17 years - very happily I might add. Some women are full of emotional and societal baggage and make men their emotional pack-mules.

Just trying to help out the gals who can't seem to land a man. I have.”
