Presidential Polls 2012: Obama's Battleground Advantage Holds

Presidential Polls 2012: Obama's Battleground Advantage Holds

“Unfortunately I believe that America looses with either canidate. The democrats take what belongs to the citizens of this country and gives it to people who don't belong here. The republicans take what belongs to the citizens of this country and gives it to their friends and themselves. Both parties have a private agenda and it doesn't seem to involve what is best for this country. What has happened to a government for the people by the people? Our congress has no accountability to anyone. Congress receives an automatic pay raise at the expense of social security recipients, they profit from insider information, they don't participate in the health care laws they passed for us, they receive retirement yet haven't paid a cent into social security...what's next America? That's the question we citizens need to be prepared to answer...with our own authority. WAKE UP AMERICA!!”

“According to the New York Times, the too big to fail banks have complete domination over derivatives trading. Every month a secret meeting that includes representatives from JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Citigroup is held in New York to coordinate their control over the derivatives marketplace. The following is how the New York Times describes those meetings....
On the third Wednesday of every month, the nine members of an elite Wall Street society gather in Midtown Manhattan. The men share a common goal: to protect the interests of big banks in the vast market for derivatives, one of the most profitable — and controversial — fields in finance. They also share a common secret: The details of their meetings, even their identities, have been strictly confidential.
When do we, the real Americans, step in and take back our country? Our government, congress, has allowed these banks to become wealthy through their fraudulent and predatory practises over and over and over, again and again...at our expense. How long do we want to wait to do something...anything...when it's too late...Look what the people did in Iceland; they took their country back and arrested the financial culprits who caused their country to nose dive. It can be done here in America!!”

“Unfortunately, most people don't understand that the Libor rate greatly affects our markets. I have heard of these secret meetings and I even thought I heard once that Greenspan, Bernacke and Geinther were active members at times. The shenanigans has gone on long enough. It is time for the FBI to get involved. They are acting in a treasonous fashion.”

“Stop these financial institutions from ruining us AGAIN!! They were the cause of our Great Depression in the 1920's and they're at it again!! Without strict regulations and enforcement, we are allowing these banks to take us into the deepest depression this country will ever see. Barclays is a tip of the ice berg and a wake-up call for ALL Americans. It has to be a concerted effort by all Americans to hold these financial institutions accountable for their predetory practises. Our government promised to to something about it and they did; they secretly loaned Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan well over $6 Trillon dollars of taxpayers money. According to a GAO report, these banks account for approximately 56% of our GDP. Did they loan this to the American public? NO THEY DIDN'T!!! They speculated on food prices! Speculation by large investment banks is driving up food prices for the world's poorest people, tipping millions into hunger and poverty. Investment in food commodities by banks and hedge funds has risen from $65bn to $126bn in the past five years, helping to push prices to 30-year highs and causing sharp price fluctuations that have little to do with the actual supply of food, says the United Nations' leading expert on food.
Hedge funds, pension funds and investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital now dominate the food commodities markets, dwarfing the amount traded by actual food producers and buyers.”

“I am sick and tired of hearing about the fiscal cliff! All this talk makes me wonder how many real political "parties" we have in this country. They seem like one big party to me. Nothing gets done when it involves doing anything for the American citizens, you know, those of us who actually belong here and pay our share of taxes. Our politicians created this mess and they want the American citizens to bail them out with increased taxes. I wouldn't have a problem paying taxes if Washington spent it in a responsible way. We're 16-18 trillion in debt and Washington wants to give Egypt another 20 F16s, not sell, give. They already have 200, why do we need to give anyone anything? Whatever happened to earning the things we want? This is no longer a party issue, it's an American issue and we better get out stuff together or we won't have anything left to give.”

“Fiscal cliff is the same as the New York city police being told to run around with their lights and sirens on just to keep the citizens frightened. Brand new Orwellian strategy.”

“We need to base our currency on something with value, like gold. We need to disassemble the Too Big To Fail banks and reduce their risk in derivitives, get rid of the Central Bank because Wall Street has too much influence, work for a balanced budget instead of spending more than we have. I say the Obama Administration has turned a blind eye.
The responsibility for America's economic stability is with The Secretary of the Treasury of the United States,Tim Geithner. He is the head of the United States Department of the Treasury, but does not work for the United States Federal Govermnent. How convenient. Does he work for the big banks? His position is to hold the International Monetary Fund's stake in it's debtor, The United States of America CORPORATION in a CREDIBLE position regarding financial and monetary matters. The financial system in the United States reaks with corruption and the leaders need to be held accountable for their deceptive and predatory practices against humanity. Iceland provided the world with a beautiful example of how their people came together to overcome the tyranny of it's finacial sector, and held the leaders accountable...it's our turn now!”

“I don't think you understood me, it's not a matter of a few people rising and succeeding in turning this government into a tyrannical government. Our government doesn't need the people's help turning tyrannical, they seem to be doing the job without our input.

How many people's lives have been saved because they had guns for protection? How many crimes have been twarted because the people had guns for protection? The right of the people to keep and bear arms is fundamental to our liberty. Our Supreme Court has reasoned that many legal systems from ancient times to the present have recognized that individual self defense is a basic right. That's my choice and it's best for me. It's my right.”

“I believe you already know the answer to the questions you ask me. The question I ask you is pretty simple and you choose the answer that best helps you. Are you willing to compare the rights of 30,000 victims of gun violence to 300,000,000 victims of a tyrannical government? I won't minimize or condone any violence in this country but somewhere we Americans have to decide where our priorities are and unfortunately we have to make some very difficult decisions. You choose what's best for you.”

“You're right there. And it's up to you to make the decision that makes you feel best: on the one hand, the reality of 30,000 deaths a year, on the other, the possibility that a few people among your 300 million will rise and succeed in promoting ideas that will turn the US government into a tyrannical government. It's your choice, and you chose what's best for you.”

“First off, I'd like to send a prayer out to the families and victims of the Aurora tragedy. This is a very dark chapter in American history.

I disagree with the notion of gun control being "patriotic". Thank our forefathers for having the insight to have drafted the US Constitution and the 2nd Amendment. Our government hasn't done it's duty by enforcing laws already on the books, everything from illegal immigration, border protection, financial predatory practises, and the list goes on and on and on. The last thing we Americans need, is this government watering down the 2nd Amendment or taking away another right. The majority of gun owners in this country are respectful, law abiding citizens, who recognize the rights of others to live in a free and safe society. I don't believe we should change our Constitutional freedoms because of the actions of some mis-guided, sick individuals.”

richard in obihiro on Jul 23, 2012 at 02:36:20

“Our government hasn't done it's duty by enforcing laws already on the books…
does that make it into a tyrannical government?
from illegal immigration,
does that make it into a tyrannical government?
border protection,
does that make it into a tyrannical government?
financial predatory practises,
does that make it into a tyrannical government?
and the list goes on and on and on.
does any of that make it into a tyrannical government that you'll have to fight because it took away your freedom?
30,000 people are victims of gun violence every year in the US. Doesn't that put kind of a brake on THEIR freedom?”

“I believe it's time for the people of this great nation to get involved with holding these financial thieves accountable for their actions. We can do this if we all come together and figure out a way to show our congress we're tired of their deriliction of duty. We, the people, need to hold our congress accountable for their lack of leadership and lack of protection from the financial corporations bleeding us! We need a major change in this country and it starts with us. It's our right to change the government if we believe the current government is not doing it's job in the correct way. How can it be correct when congress doesn't have to participate in social security, Obamacare, or the laws they vote in for the rest of us. Why do we allow congress to get away with their double standards, I don't understand it. It is not up to our government to stop this kind of behavior, it's up to the American people! Congress has continously shown us they are incompetent and unwilling to help this nation onward to prosperity!! It's time for all Americans to stand up and be counted!!!”

“We have allowed financial institutions to become To Big To Fail and FDIC insured? Who wrote this blank check? Their GREED created the Great Depression, makes me wonder what they're going to call this one...The latest quarterly report from the Office Of the Currency Comptroller is out and as usual it presents in a crisp, clear and very much glaring format the fact that the top 4 banks in the US now account for 95.9% of all derivative exposure. JPM, Citi, Bank of America, and Goldman. the biggest banks are not only getting bigger, but their risk exposure is now at a new all time high and up $5.3 trillion from Q1 as they have to risk ever more in the derivatives market to generate that incremental penny of return. We NEED to STOP this run-away train!!!”

When are we going to hold our lawmakers accountable for their lack of leadership and stewardship of this nation before they take us all down with them? I wonder just how many of our lawmakers have off shore accounts...why should they worry, they don't pay into Social Security...They don't participate in Obamacare...They recieve $174,000+ a year as a salary...More than 274 receive a pension of $70,000-$180,000...The American people bailed out their investment partner, AIG...why should they worry? They have it all for themselves at our expense and it's still not enough! We Americans NEED to get involved and change this fast before someone else does!!”
