“We are all united under one enemy, Arrogance and Imperialism, brutality and disregard for any laws.
We are united under the threat of pre-emptive strikes, shadow prisons and Two Ton cluster Bombs.
We are united against polluters and bank robbers that control our world.
We are all united and we are strong, Gaza is our fight against militarism and state Terror.
We shall overcome, We shall overcome”
“Olmert a foreign leader calls our president and tells him to tell our Sec. of State not to Vote in Support of a UN resolution, and then Brags about it.
As an American I am appalled and request an explanation from Rice , Bush and Congress should look into this.
A serious breach of Our soveriengty and a breadown of governance.
In the delicate matter of uttmost importance within Two or Three Wars and possibly a fourth one, to act in such a childish manner is unacceptable to any country let alone ours.”

“If there is any doubt who really controls American foreign policy, and much of the domestic policy as well, it should be erased. Israel, through AIPAC, has bought nearly ever single senator and a great many of our congresspeople, not to mention social outlets, newspapers, tv, movies, etc...and they do this with our own tax dollars sent to them by our politicians who reeive money back in perfect circle of enrichment...Israel controls America....and that is that...we should just accept that, and move on..”

“If there was ever any doubt that under Bush the United States has been an Israeli puppet, this is the smoking gun. The Israeli Prime minister is able to spit in the face of our Secretary of State and get away with it. Where is the outrage?”
“Again Mr.Ginsberg circumvents the real causes and discusses the symptoms by blaming the victim for refusing the terms dictated by brute force and mass murder.
The blockade on 3 Million Palestinans and the adamant refusal for all peace gestures and offers from 1948 until 2009 leaves no doubt.
Bush asked Israel to achieve a quick eradication of Hamas to cover his failures, the US sent munitions and planned with Arabs (Egypt,Jordan,Saudi and the Palestinian Authority) this operation.
The Axis of Evil has shifted and the people of Gaza are in the way, so they must pay the price for electing a government that says no, and in the Arab world that is a capital crime worthy of genocide.”

“Your comments are fictitious and not factual. Hamas has never offered Israel a basis to negotiate (except at the point of a gun). The Palestinian Authority and Israel have consistently reached agreements since the signing of the Oslo Accords, but admittedly there is much to be doubted about adherence to the underlying agreements, but let's be real here...the Palestinian Authority and Israel talk, negotiate and with more Obama Administration facilitation may be able to move more quickly to agreement. Unless Hamas stops its extremist rejection of Israel, what is there to negotiate? Marc”

“I'm sorry. Please detail for all of us one single "peace gesture" or offer since 1948 made by the Arabs that did not entail an end to the existence of an independent, democratic, Jewish state in the area?”
Israel's enemy for the moment is unreasonable sub-human neanderthal like, no reason or argument will ever work, antisemitic , zealous and intrinsically violent.
Second the conflict revolves around rockets fired unto them a week ago or disgruntled youth throwing rocks at tanks or F-16's.
No talk of Settlements please, it's the ROCKETS, no 11,000 Civilians Tortured and Jailed in Israel right now, 700 Roadblocks, an appartheid wall meandering through backyards and tearing apart families and the list of genocide is long and bitter.
“Nothing on earth or in recent history compares to what is going on in Gaza, a total siege strangling 1.5 Million people mostly refugees a few kilometers from their hometowns and lands simply because they freely voted for someone Israel does not like. A collective punishment for a democratic choice, hardly Ukraine resembles Gaza? Ukraine has friends Gaza has no friends that matter.
85,000 Tons of Munitions dropped on 20 square Miles, it would take Russia Five Years to match that level of violence.
5000 Dead and injured equals 500,000 Ukranians in just 14 days.
No there is no place like Gaza”

“Thank you onlyhere. Now you make clear your position. You are clearly anti-Israel, Israeli and Jews, pro-Arab, Muslim and Palestinian. Israel is defending itself against attacks on its nation and people by rockets and other means of destruction - about 7000 rockets from the Gaza Strip alone since 2005 - and some 4000 rockets for 34 days in 2006 and sporadically since then, including three rockets last week, from Lebanon. You are so wrong that Israel has acted in self-defense "because [people] voted freely [or not] for someone Israel does not like."”
JanP on Jan 9, 2009 at 15:38:17
“5,000 dead? You don't know the facts.
How would you like 6,000+ rockets dropped on your hometown in 2 1/2 years? Just because only a few people get killed, is it OK?”
Huffyfan on Jan 9, 2009 at 15:04:29
“bravo OnlyHere . you seem to know the real facts, because im afriad the US media is hiding the truth .”
“In addition Bush had an exact copy of this plan in Lebanon with Hezbollah that demanded when all else fails Israel the Bully finishes the job, Israel failed on 06 and will fail in 08.
BTW Israel has never ever Since Inception stopped its plan to eradicate any semblance of palestinian statehood. Under "Oslo" Settlements increased by 38%,Road block now number 700, and the appartheid wall chokes villages and cities, no rockets in the West Bank just a peaceful cooperating Authority that met with Israel 27 times in year and could not even lift one roadblock.
It doesn't matter to Israel resist die quickly surrender and die slowly. No statehood no contiguous land viable to support a meager existence, no control of Air, borders, water and even movement.
Israel is the only democracy in the region, if this is democracy I want no part of it.”
Asean4Obama on Jan 6, 2009 at 07:09:52
“onlyhere you wrote Israel is the only democracy...
Bahrain and Oman are starting to pick up and could be a true example of democracy in the region. Egypt is the worse offender in the region, if Saudi Arabia is peanuts compared what Egypt did over the past 20 years. Would Egypt have a fair election, the government wouldnt even get 10% of all votes. I lived for 1 1/2 years in Egypt. A Christian from South Egypt is not even allowed to move to Cairo and they have to live in a compound with Chrsitians only. I once asked a few Egyptian Christians if they are worried about other Egyptians and they told me they are only scared of Mubarak, normal Chrsitians and Muslim's in Egypt mix well because in the Qu'ran Christians are protected because they share most of the prophets. The jews too are protected but not governments if they push the wrong policies.”
“What Hamas Targets? I'm watching a popcorn kettle called Gaza.
The bombing just like Lebanon and Iraq "Shock and Awe" campaigns, The Neocon Bushies on the Israeli side are a copy of Rove and Rumsfeld and their strategies are identical.
This last masssacre has Bush written all over it.”
whitenoise007 on Jan 3, 2009 at 10:21:40
“uh, except that iraq wasn't lobbing rockets on a daily basis into manhattan with the stated goal to annihilate the U.S., nor is israel conducting this "popcorn kettle" to appropriate precious resources in gaza (there are none). as much as some folks would like to make it simple black and white--palestinian victim, israeli perpetrator--which pleases terribly hamas, reality in this situation is far more complicated.”
“Egypt is boiling, The situation is deteriorating rapidly, Mubarak is trying to ram his son (Jamal) as the next heir apparent with US help, but things seem to be breaking apart, This will be the most signifacant and profound event in the coming months or even weeks. Get ready for a whole new Middle East”
