“Olive oil ice cream is divine! Had it first in NYC at Mario Batali's Otto, then had it in LA at Terroni
on Beverly Blvd. It's creamy, buttery and nutty tasting -- wonderful against other flavors and the crisp dry texture of a cookie or biscotti, especially if there's a bit of salt in the ice cream.”

“Yes, Mario Batali makes the best ice cream. My husband and I shared three scoops (Olive Oil, Espresso, Pistachio) at Enoteca San Marco in Las Vegas just a few weeks ago. Each flavor was amazing on it's own, but we were surprised at how good they were together as well.”

“I agree...we have a small place that makes it sometimes. It is the creamiest ice cream on earth!”

“quazimoda- hey this is so cool- Thanks for your comment

if women were running the world they would have men cleaning the dishes instead of starting wars

We need to wake up to the beauty of this world instead of causing suffering

Life is a gift - let us treasure it!

“Sage is also great with potatoes (cook potatoes in heavy skillet with olive oil, garlic and sage) - we like potatoes with sage here as much as rosemary. See the Cucina cookbook series by Viana LaPlace for simple recipes using herbs.
Mint for Mojitos! Great for the summer if the Obamas ever get to relax & enjoy a long summer day..
And hopefully they will plant some pumpkins so the girls can carve jack-o-lanterns for Halloween.”

“Keira's delightful and talented -- she'll be great! Audrey Hepburn was one of a kind, but My Fair Lady is not the role I'll remember her for. She shone in the BIlly Wilder films -- he really knew how to use her, and she was so young, like Keira is now. I look forward to her performance in the new version.”

“I grew up in the Midwest and those floppy cheap sandals were called "thongs" back in the 60's& 70's, but I've been in California for 30 yrs and mostly I've heard them flipflops, so I've switched. Don't say "pop" anymore either, now it's soda.”
