“I moved to Canada for a job less than 3 months ago. The day I arrived I was covered by their health care system. There are primary care facilities everywhere, and everyone has access. Yes, you might have to wait for non-emergency things - a knee replacement, for example. And there's generally a wait in emergency rooms. Of course, you wait in the US, too. Yes, my taxes are a tad higher here. Just a little. And the health care system is a somewhat bloated, driven as it is not by fiscal management but quality of service. It could be more efficient. I've been impressed with the talent and dedication of medical professionals and hospitals (they're centers of professionalism and calm compared to the US). What the heck are we afraid of?”
"Their" supposed values are predominantly Christian, as well as the girl we're discussing here who stated that she wanted to move to where the President is a Christian. What values are you talking about? ...and what's all this about tribes?”
“"Most Americans know as much about Australia as they do Austria." In fact, many Americans know about as much about Australia as they do the United States. Many can't name the vice president. Most have little knowledge of the president, policy, economics, or anything else relevant to this election. Thank you, television, for your contribution to our culture and for helping to make this the "best country in the world."”

“Wait. You mean our public education system has failed?”

“Not only that, but many Americans can't name the State capitals, or the Canadian Provinces, do not realize that there is a difference between the State of Washington and Washington, D.C., nor do they know that Mexico is divided into States. And that is just the tip of a very big iceberg. It's sad.”
“I lived in the 70s, too, and don't know who the "they" were that said we were going to freeze. Of course, I studied the sciences, not whatever it was you were studying. Or drinking. The complex models of climate change that were developed in the 70s have turned out to be overly optimistic -- the rate at which the earth is warming is greater than predicted. Those models have been adapted and improved, and are excellent predictors now of global changes. Believe whatever you like, it won't change the truth. And however attractive fiddling while it burns may be, because I have children, I cannot.”
“Head in sand. I assume you have no children and don't care about famine?”

“Hey Raechel, I lived in the 70s when they said we were all gonna feeze and die because of man made global cooling, it is all a farce, but if you want to believe in fairies and angel dust and unicorns, keep your head in the sand. Climate changes and has for thousands of years. The most industrial time was post WW11 of course that was post 1945 if you were schooled in the public schools, according to Al Gores logic we should have burned up by then.....ummmmmm”
“How could a man that assembled a team so incapable of reading the facts, so unable to face the truth and determined to deny it because it was unpleasant, be expected to manage a country in difficult times?”

“. . . because most CONservatives only believe Fox 'BubbleFACTS', if you believe it it's true.”
“This man is pathetic. I think it's clear that President Obama is a US citizen. But really, what does it matter? There have been a number of presidents for whom the question of citizenship (natural citizenship) has arisen, and the discussions generally fizzled, which they would now if it weren't for bozos like Trump and the media desperate for "news" to report. It's a parlor game, and a ridiculous waste of everyone's time.”
“Hate speech, including yours, has no place in a civil society, and is destructive, not helpful. If people of conscience act to remove hate speech (actions that are themselves speech of a kind), the world will be a better place. You're not interested in that, however, are you? ”

“If you think my speech is hate, you don't know one thing about speech.
Your speech is hate speech.
You have things entirely backwards.
Speaking the truth isn't hate speech.
Those that try to stop the spread of the truth, and voice their support in favor of people who commit crimes to stop our 1st ammendmentl....is.
You are the one guilty of hate speech. So come back to reality.”

“Hate speech? You think that is hate speech? Do you even know the English language? Do you know what hate speech even is?
The answer is no, you have no clue what hate speech is.
You could say that it is speech about puppy dogs and free love and you'd be just as correct as you talking about it being hate speech.
It's amazing that on this earth some people don't know the answer to 2+2...because it really is that easy. Perhaps your emotions are making answers to easy questions very difficult. Get over it.
It's fascist healthcare. Fascism isn't a hate word, it's a political ideology. It's still in practice. Might want to learn what the words mean before you form an opinion about them.”
