“The only problem with your opinion is there is not one shred of physical evidence to support it. No DNA, no bloody clothes, no nothing. Ya thinkg the jurors being allowed to read newspapers and tabloids and talk to anybody and everybody while the trial in progress had anything to do with it.

It's the old, "bring the guilty SOB in and we'll give him/her a fair trial."

“When you are innocent of a heinous crime like murder, you stick to the truth 'cos thats all that can save you. But what did Amanda do?

Where were you at the time of the murder?
"I was at my boyfriends house."
The evidence says otherwise
"Okay then, I was at my house"

Did you do it?
"The black guy did it."
The black guy has a strong alibi.
"Well you made me say he did it"

What did you do while she was murdered?
"I closed my ears. Gimme a second while I do a cartwheel."

Who hears a guttural scream in the next room and ignores it? and then synchronously switches off her phone with boyfriend?”

“It comes down to... is a Mac worth 3-4 times a PC? Now let me see... a 15" Mac laptop $2500, a comparable PC $700. When you add in the software availability and the tons of free stuff out there it's even more of a no brainer. There is nothing a Mac can do that a PC can't that would make me pay such an exorbitant price difference... NOTHING!

There's a reason why PCs outsell Macs better than 8 to 1. And arguably that's the only reason why Mac's aren't attacked like PC'S. It IS a myth that Mac can't be hijacked or infected. If the roles/sales where reversed it would be Mac's attacked and not PC's.

All you Mac lover's keep paying up the wazoo for these over priced, very subjective "advantage" computers that you love so much... it does at least keep MS "honest" if that can be applied to either side.”

hypnotoad72 replied on Oct 23, 2009 at 12:48:14

“Over how many YEARS? My Mac Pro will easily last me 5. When using XP and Vista, I often replaced hardware - just for the sake of the flimsy OS (particularly Vista).

Oh, PCs sold at big box stores come with adware and "crapware" installed. Dingdongs on some so-called "tech" forums want PC makers to put the crapware on a separate disc, to be installed by the user if the user wishes. Problem here is, crapware and adware SUBSIDIZES THE COST. Macs are no more expensive if PC vendors didn't bother with the crapware that everybody hates but what everybody wants both ways on.

I'm not thinking different. I'm just thinking. I recommend 'thinking' for everyone.”

“Just got a Mac Mini, $899. Used my perfectly fine 'PC' monitor and keyboard/mouse. Sure, the initial purchase price might be a bit higher than getting a Brand new Dell but as a software developer I need to be productive. I've used (and still use) PC's as well, but Windows is fundamentally flawed. The registry concept will eventually result in degraded performance and sluggish behavior. And Windows security forces you to install Anti Virus software that further degrades performance of your machine. At some point to get corruption and will have to cleanup or reinstall from scratch. I was at that point so I switched to Mac. Messing around with a PC to keep it working was fun in high school, but right now I have work that needs to be done. So I'm sure the initial higher purchase price will pay itself back bigtime.”

“Considering the dems have filibuster proof in the senate of overwhelming majority in the house there is absolutely no reason why they can't pass a bill with public option that 70% of the people want and the number one issue that put the dems in charge.

They are holding true to their wimpy spineless reputation not to mention the have been bought out by the lobbyist. The progressives, liberals, and independents who voted for the "yes we can" candidate have every reason so be angry.

Back pedaling and caving to the repugs and the insurance companies is unacceptable on the number one issue and most important legislation in my lifetime. I'm holding Obama accountable for his actions as he asked us to do. If he can't get it done I won't vote for him period.”

dmbraddy replied on Sep 06, 2009 at 10:45:35

“With the passing of Senator Kennedy the Democrats no longer have 60 votes in the Senate. Senator Byrd's illness may prevent him from voting as well. For once we have a president that prefers critical thinking and consensus building to the childishly emotional chest-thumping of his predecessor. Sure, I'd like to see things moving even faster and I am definitely frustrated with the previous course of the health care debate, but President Obama is not responsible for the actions rightwing nut-cases and anti-democratic town hall disrupters nor the media proclivity for controversy, real or hyped.

I think it would be more helpful for your cause to direct your criticisms toward the real villains, the Republicans, who are the ones who negotiated in bad faith and are threatening to filibuster.”

“So your "common sense" says you can save enough money to pay for any medical situation comes your way and you will save that money from a TAX CREDIT, SUBSIDIES, WHATEVER?

Now is this TAX CREDIT going to me mandatory and who will be holding this money for you? If it's not mandatory it's just MORE worthless and you're going to trust the banks (you know, the ones that failed) to hold your money till you need it? What a plan!

Let's say you got a $5000 dollar a year tax credit (and I'm being VERY generous) and you have an operation that cost $500,000. It will only take you 100 years to save up for it.... and what if you've only been saving for 50 years and you only have 1/2 of the money needed?

You see "common sense" is really not that common now is it.”
