Joseph Mastropaolo, Creationist, Offers $10,000 To Anyone Who Can Disprove Bible

“Alas, there isn't enough money in the country to award to the many many proofs that the Bible is not a literal historical document. The problem lies in the fact that Creationists, by definition, refuse to accept scientific evidence and documentation as proof. It's a very safe offer to make if the person/group refuses to accept proof as proof.”

“News, they have either no concept of factual, objective proof, or else they lack any scruples and intellectual honesty whatsoever. Either way, I don't think we want to do business with them.”

“The Bible is a work of fiction, written in teh Bronze age it has as much relevance as Beuwolf or the Illiad.”

“What astounds me is the collective ignorance offered up by several of the comments below. If any of the nay-sayers would bother to read a book occasionally, or follow some of even the lay science magazines, or as a last resort, watch some of the science programing on television, I'd hope they would offer up comments that revealed their ignorance a little less profoundly. The anonymity of online commenting clutters up the Internet with tons of wasted material. come on folks; have some respect.”

“"I remember what I was doing when I watched Mark McGwire hit his record-breaking home run.

"Do they?"

Why would anyone remember what you were doing when Mark McGuire hit his 70th?

I would suggest a basic writing class at your local Community College so that you can learn how to keep track of the subject and pronoun agreement of your structure.”

Helicopter Parenting and the Olympics: The Terrifying Message that NBC is Sending Out to American Families

Commented Aug 8, 2012 at 11:40:33 in Parents

“To make such accusations and conclusions based only on video coverage without witnessing familial interactions over a period of time is both unfair and almost irresponsible. As a racquetball instructor and coach I have witnessed similar parental empathy from caring, loving parents who are just that: caring, loving and supportive ... without being 'helicoptering parents.'”

London Olympics 2012: 8 Charged With Misconduct For Allegedly 'Throwing' Badminton Matches

“I was excited to see this year badminton would finally get more than about 30 minutes of total coverage, with NBC broadcasting at least on four channels locally. I stayed up all night with short naps to catch badminton, archery and other sports considered 'minor' in the USA. However, as a retired college badminton instructor, it is incalculable the damage this story and attitude has done to the dynamic sport of badminton. It is the most widely played racquet sport in the world. The Chinese are truly dominant in the badminton pitch. Such apparent arrogance and disregard for the efforts of other nations and competitors seems to reflect state-driven focus on 'victory' no matter what. Despite the successes of the China areas economic and domestic, it is still a dictatorial oligarchy derived from what in the 60's was called 'Red China'. It's politically incorrect to refer to that today, but the goals remain the same: to dominate. Only methodology has changed. We seem to have forgotten Tiananmen Square and the subsequent crackdown. This cheating probably reflects not the people of the nation so much as the values set by it's government. If the Chinese Olympic Committee and/or Chinese government punishes these athletes, it won't for the fact of cheating; it will be for displaying such arrogance in public and getting caught. And then South Korean and Indonesian apparently got caught as well, but they blamed in on the Chinese, who "started it." Like children on the playground.”
