The idea is that many companies would find ways to put out less greenhouse gases, because that would be cheaper than buying permits. Would you support or oppose this system?"

You say, therefore, if I am right about warming. You have got to be kidding. How many scientific organizations do you need to confirm anthropogenic warming before you guys on the right get it. All these organizations confirm warming so please stop living in a fantasy world...

“Yes, many Republicans I have heard on television make it no secret that they would like to repeal Medicare and Social Security. They claim money was taken from Medicare to finance the health care bill but I believe it was money for those who wanted to finance an alternative private insurance instead of the usual Medicare package. Their free market determinism just does not work in real life, but they have yet to realize it. How much can limiting malpractice law suits save doctors? I bet, very little and yet it is one of the few points Republicans have about health care.”

“Ed is alone out there. He is an ideologue. I don't watch him because sometimes he reminds me of Fox programming - too much ideology and few facts. However, I believe I heard him saying earlier that we should support the bill because it can be amended and approved later. It is a very good first step, in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with voices from the far left, but they must be careful not to be as inflexible as those on the far right. Reason is often what separates us from the far right.”

I thought Republicans were all about accepting personal responsibility. Her statement shows the way conservatives so easily delude themselves by adopting false narratives. It is why their policies are so bad because they can never be honest about the reasons or history of things.
