“I'm perplexed by conservative complaints here. They're all about the corporation, and the Kinky Boots performance - essentially an ad for the show - is in perfect harmony with the commercialized nature of these holidays.”

“The complaints are no more different than if it had been an add featuring a same sex couple...with a kid...being happy. Oh the horrors! lol”
“Maybe, but it's impossible to know from the story. While the game was lopsided, there's no indication in this story when this score occurred. If it happened with the game safely put away, I agree with you. But it could have been the first score. We don't know enough to pass judgment.”
“Another shakedown of a local government by private industry. Tell them to hit the road, Atlanta!
The Braves did the same thing in Richmond, Va., with its AAA minor league team. It moved to Georgia and isn't drawing nearly as well now. Meanwhile, Richmond became a sought-after destination for other teams.”
“What a gracious apology for your lack of comprehension.”

“Not so much a lack of comprehension as the vague wording of the original sentence. If you said "it's clear THAT logic...", then your sentence would have been much more understandable. Many people disregard the use of the word "that".”
If I had not used the contracted form, the sentence would read:
" ... but it is clear logic isn't either."
Apostrophe abuse is one of my pet peeves going back decades.”

“My apologies. I now understand what you are trying to say. Because your comment is vaguely worded, it can be interpreted two different ways. Proper writing suggests that one does not use contractions. I suggest that you keep that in mind to avoid future mis-communications :)”
“Nice list of excuses. Maybe McAuliffe was hurt by lack of turn out after polls a week ago showed him running away with it.
Cuccinelli should retire to some wing-nut think tank where he can rail against all the things that make my life meaningful. :-)”

“To paraphrase Bill Clinton, McAulliffe was luck as a dog with two organs. Dems got lucky in this race. You didn't read the part of my post which stated that Cuccinelli should have lost in a landslide. His views are so far right they are off the charts and McAulliffe still needed major help to pull out a win because of APATHY. That apathy may have been caused by hubris, but a message needed to be sent by all the Dem voters, not just a few.
FYI, the wait at Virginia local precincts was less that 5 minutes yesterday. There was no excuse for people not showing up and leaving the outcome to a few modestly engaged voters.
Those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat it. Maybe you should use the 2010 midterms as reason to start reminding your 1200+ fans what can happen if they fail to vote in 2014.”
