“Considering the ineptitude of the Democratic and Republican parties, the portion of the American electorate who does not believe in science, the pharmaceutical companies who won't do anything unless the government gives them money or they can make money in this deal, and others who believe either God is coming "soon" or death is good because they will see their God...I give the chances that anything will be done to address this exactly 0%. Not being pessimistic, I'm being realistic.”
“Why should this guy be any different from all other veterans? All veterans who aren't retirement eligible leave with no healthcare and months upon months of waiting for the VA to look at their claim. Don't feel bad for this guy. And don't feel bad for any vet. Get off your computer and write a letter and call your Congressperson. Tell them this is a national disgrace! That's the only way this type of BS will change. Thanks for your service...don't let the door hit you on the way out.
A 15-year veteran leaves the military with no healthcare and no pension. A US Representative or Senator leaves office after one term with lifetime healthcare and a pension paid for by taxpayers. Stop electing the same old Democrats and Republicans and then, maybe, we'll see some change in this country.”
“GCI who has a monopoly in Alaska, does this and it sucks. I have had to up my data each of the last 3 years. I don't have a huge issue with paying more for using more data necessarily, what really aggravates me is GCI does not rollover any leftover data I have at the end of my billing cycle. I pay for the data but lose excess at the end of the month. If it isn't rolled over, I should at least get a refund for any unused data I paid for but didn't use. It really is all about generating profits. Since there are very few alternatives here, it ends up being a bad deal for consumers.”
“The only way Trayvon could have been the President would be if the President thinks it's OK to attack a person because he's following you. Since when did it become acceptable to attack a person as Trayvon did to Zimmerman? Following a person is not against the law under most circumstances. Attacking a person is against the law.”
“Why is Hershey hiring immigrant guest workers when there are millions of Americans looking for a job?”
Max Vohra on Aug 25, 2011 at 18:55:13
“Huge Clarification: They are NOT "immigrant" or "workers." The J-1 visa is an exchange student visa, given to foreign students and are sometimes sponsored by institutions for certain degrees (like teaching English). It costs a lot of money to get a visa and come to the United States. So when these international students get here, they also expect to work to earn money to support their stay. J-1 students are non-immigrants and they are not permitted to work in the Unites States without permission (you can work on-campus though). Even if they are non-immigrants, international students are extremely vulnerable to exploitation because they are not really aware of their rights and U.S. laws. The protesting students were shamelessly put to work so some American company can save money, and also they were charged much higher rent than the locals.”

“Because Hershey believes in the new American Dream - like most American corporations - that's the nightmare for workers where profits are more important than people.”
“This has got to be the dumbest plan I have ever heard of. These two political parties are an embarrassment to the U.S.A.”
RPM9500 on Jul 24, 2011 at 02:09:38
“The Congress is embarrassing for sure.
Where else can you paid for doing nothing.
Talk about waste, fraud and abuse in government.
Jeez, these politicians sure can talk but can't walk the talk. Not even one step.

“Bottom line from this news release is this: All voting will still be done by Hollywood elitists rather than the average person who doesn't get a free screening DVD in the mail every December.”

“They're not suppose to be voted on by average people...that would be the People's Choice Awards. The acadamy votes, that's why it's called the Acadamy Awards.”
VeryGrood on Jun 15, 2011 at 10:04:12
“There is an awards show called The People's Choice Awards.”
kkoie on Jun 15, 2011 at 09:59:22
“The peoples choice awards is for the average person. the Academy Awards has always been about recognition by ones peers.”
HRN-STL on Jun 15, 2011 at 09:53:41
“This argument makes no sense whatsoever. Average people shouldn't be deciding the best artistic performances in cinema (or any specific field really). Average people shouldn't have a say in everything. I don't think its ever been the case (or perception) that the academy awards are the peoples's choice anyways. There are the People's Choice Awards and similar things for those who desire the folk's views to be recognized.”
“Outages for Netflix streaming are not new, it does happen a couple times a year from what I've seen. What is most impressive is Netflix ALWAYS offers a refund up front for the lost time. All you have to do is request it. That's pretty stand up in my book. Try getting a cell phone or cable company to offer a small refund for lost service and have a news release saying so. Not going to happen. They make you jump through hoops and speak to 3 different people over a 20 minute phone call.
Netflix is a very fair company and offers a lot for the price in my opinion.”
“It has become a sorry state in this country now that any journalism that is not spewing lies, hatred, or inciting violence is considered "liberal". People think NPR is liberal because liberals like listening to it. We listen because we are smart and NPR is intelligent news, something the Fox "News" and Limbaugh crowd know nothing about. We listen to be informed, truthfully. Listen to NPR and you will always get both sides of the story. I support NPR as do millions of others around the country. The fact it has continued on for 30+ years. primarily though listener donations shows it's staying power. If NPR gets any public funding, losing it will never bring it down. There is constant wasteful spending going on in your home town and yet people complain about the pittance of govt support CPB or NPR gets. Long live NPR, long live the truth.”
“CPB is not NPR, if you listened to NPR, you would know that.”
f0rTyLeGz on Jan 8, 2011 at 23:21:25
“The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, created in 1967, receives approximately 15% of its annual funding from federal appropriations. In turn, the CPB, acting as an umbrella agency, is required to spend 89 percent of the appropriations in grants to members of Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), National Public Radio (NPR), Public Radio International (PRI), and other affiliated public television and radio broadcasters..
Get real... I have listened to NPR since well... NPR was WAMU and Diane Reim was twenty-five.”
“Why aren't the states raising their taxes to pay for this rather than the federal govt going into further debt to pay for it? Funny how the states want the feds to pay and fix the immigration issues but the sates don't want to pay for and fix their teacher issues.”

Quit listening to FauxNoise before it r0ts your brain.”
“I thought Dennis Kucinich was a fighter for the average person. In the end, we see he is just as spineless and cowardly as all the other democrats. He is a sell out and I will NEVER support him again. It's the Green Party or Bust for me.”
