“I have not created any controversies. You are the one who refuses to acknowledge that those who you support lied and it was docuemented. I have never said that Bush did not lie nor anyother politician. You see I will post truth even if I don't like it. There in is the difference. There is no reason for any hatred here. I have never even mentioned anything that could be construed as hatred. However you on the other hand........... seem to see hatred or maybe I should say bias, in any post by those who don't agree with you. Bottom line you refuse to answer so be it. We can do this all day it is fun watching you scramble up the excuses.”

“shrine says: "I have not created any controversies."
Of course you haven't. The people you watch and listen to have, for ideological purpposes, of course. You're going to--perhaps hate is too strong a word--dislike Obama, the Democrats and the "lefties" no matter what, right? So what's the point? No matter what answers and comments I give, no matter how reasonable they may be, you won't like them if you already disagree with them because of preexisting beliefs. I wonder if Obamacare takes care of preexisting ideological conditions--”
“As I have said all along. You have never answered the President's and the Democrats many lies. So just move along quietly and refuse to address and answer the next person. You have lost this one. hehehe”
xscd on Dec 9, 2013 at 14:20:30
“Oh, OK, yeah. You know, the people on the right create their own controversies. Right-wingers who hate Obama, the Democrats and the lefties are going to hate them no matter what you do or say, so why bother?”
“Hmm I don't rant or yell, but if it makes you feel good to justify your untenable position to yourself, well go ahead. You have a hard time understanding that the upper hand or high road belongs to me in this case. Especially since you just can't seem to address the issue of the lies.........and the fact that the President and his supporters lied and it has been shown over and over and over. Now you rant at me all you want, as you have shown me and all who have read our exchanges that you are not a person who values or stands behind your word. Therefore your character is questionable until shown otherwise. One day you will grow up and learn that your word and your actions are what defines you and your character for the world to see.”
“Sounds like you want to give me the rotten bone you are gnawing on. No thanks, I like reality. Maybe you should look at yourself since you seem like you can't handle the facts as they are. Stay in your insulated little world, you will be happier there since the real world doesn't seem to get to you there. LOL”
xscd on Dec 6, 2013 at 11:21:15
“OK then! Have you vented enough now? Ready to move on?”
“I really don't think many people are even going to see our comments now, buried as they are so far down in Huffingtonpost's comments section. Don't you agree? I'm flattered you still want to engage someone in conversation that you have already said "obviously doesn't know what he's talking about," but isn't there somewhere that might benefit from your attention more than this? Something you could do that might be a little more worth your while?
Unfortunately, the more someone yells at me or just rants for no purpose, the more my mind tends to wander.”
“Nope not upset about anything, just amused by you and the fact that you refuse to address the President and the Democrats lies about obamacare. The facts are there for all to see. I can't help that you buy into the spin of "if I misled you" Keep your blinders on, you will be much happier away from the real truth that way. I will still stand tall and either admit I was wrong in 2014, or will point out in a post that you were wrong. Merry Christmas.”
“What a bunch of blooming fools. I hope the business owners fire them all for this illegal walk out. The owners are within their rights to fire them and I guarentee there are people who would love to have their jobs. How foolish. But then that is what these unions are now, foolish. There was a time when unions were good for the workers. That time is over, they are all about money for the officers and the state and national level, but they are not about the rank and file anymore. Those days are long gone. I used to be a Steelworker member in the 70's and it was about money for the officers then. It has only gotten worse. Thank you seiu, you are responsible for these people who are going to lose their jobs. Will you feed them and pay for their Christmas?”
“You really have no idea what you are saying. You must not be a person who values or stands by their word. How truly sad to be in such a sorry state of being. No you did not address the lies. And on top of that you have lost all credibility by stooping to insults such as "ridiculous conservative posturing" As for revisting comments, I alwyas do and I have kept every single comment I have ever posted. So once again the only conclusion that can be drawn from your posted reply is that you are not willing to back up your post. Therefore the logical conclusion is you know that I am correct. What I stated about Obama, and the Democrats and the lies is a FACT not a fantasy. You must just be ignoring the factual record of the repeated comments. They have all been broadcast and are beyond denial. The lies is what will prove to be the undoing of those Democrats who are up for reelection in 2014. Once again the facts and the record showing their lies is indisputable. No amount of spin will change that.”

“shrine says: "You really have no idea what you are saying."
That's a pretty firm conviction for someone who has never met me. I will admit however that you do seem pretty upset about something--”
“By the way, Obamacare as the liberal left so often point out when they condem the conservatives and the Republicans, was patterned after Romney's healthcare plan for Massachusetts when he was Governor. Hmm let me think, oh yes Romney is a republican and a conservative. You can't make a blanket statement such as you have saying Republicans and conservatives are short sighted nor do they ever do anything but ignore major problems. Until Democrats and liberals take up the issue. That is pretty shortsighted and petty of you. It also is not a factual statement.”
xscd on Dec 4, 2013 at 18:03:27
“Obamacare is far from perfect, and many of its imperfections derive from it having been a conservative, Republican plan before conservatives decided it was a "marxist, socialist" healthcare plan.
Go ahead and chew on that rotten old bone a little more, like a dog that just won't give it up.”
“That promise is not a distant promise and your obvious dislike of conservatives and republicans is evident in your reply to me. I notice you did not address the lies and the oops " I am sorry if I misled you" I agree healthcare is an issue and I never said I did not. I also stand by my post that obamacare is not the answer. Basically from your reply you don't have the courage of your convictions or you are not willing to back them up. I meant what I said about posting here after the 2014 elections if I am wrong. You see my word and my convictions mean something to me. They define who you are and define your character. I have always stood up for what I believe and will always admit if I am wrong. Too bad you feel that time is an issue. Or maybe you just lack the courage and conviction. I hope I am wrong about you as far as your courage, but from your statement I don't think I am.”

“I meant distant in time. I doubt that either of us will revisit this comments section of this particular story in November of next year.
I don't dislike conservatives in general, and I happen to be somewhat conservative in character myself, but I thoroughly dislike the Republican Party and the big-business and religious far-right influences upon it.
I've addressed Obama's "lies" that conservatives are so fond of repeating right now in many other comments I've made here and at other websites, and am tired of doing so. I don't care if people wish to interpret them in whatever ideologically-coherent way they want. That's your business and your problem, not mine.
The rest of your comments are ridiculous typical conservative posturing.”
“Well said cdlaire. I beleive I may have replied to you earlier in error. This new format really is a pain and it is easy to lose track of who you are repling to. So just ignore an earlier response about "Wow and medications" It was for another poster. Merry Christmas my friend.”
“The past really matters not as it is the present and the future that is coming. American voters while understanding the need for health care reform know that this farce of obamacare is not the way to go. They are not stupid and they know Obama and the Democrats lied when they said repeatedly " If you like your insurance you can keeo it period, if you like your Doctor you can keep them period, if you like your hospital you can keep it period". Those were not as the Whitehouse and Obama wants to spin a "mislead you statements" They were lies plain and simple. Yes some who are losing their plans may have lower insurance than obamacare , but many do not. The costs are much higher than we were led to believe. The voters are not dumb and they will not be fooled by empty spin. They also will not be fooled by the delay until after the elections in 2014 of full implementation of obamacare. Just wait until employer plans and union health care plans start getting cancelled. Also the promise by Obama that the health insurance companies who cancelled individual policies would reinstate them for a year is not happening. By the way I was not a Romney supporter so your post holds no weight there either. Mark my words and get back to me after the 2014 election. If I am wrong I will post it here and say so. Will you?.”

“shrine says: "Mark my words and get back to me after the 2014 election. If I am wrong I will post it here and say so. Will you?."
I wouldn't hold either one of us to such a distant promise.
Regarding healthcare, the prohibitive and increasing costs were an issue that had to be faced. Republicans hate to tackle big issues because they are characteristically so shortsighted and nearsighted that they can't see "the big picture" nor extrapolate the likely ramifications of programs this complex. So what do Republicans and conservatives do? They typically ignore such problems, or just give them a little lip service while doing nothing to address the issue, and offering no "solutions" of their own until Democrats have taken up the issue and, in their own flawed but well-meaning way, addressed it.
You don't like it? Then learn to do something about it before it becomes so bad that Democrats and liberals are forced to come up with a solution of their own.”
“This has to be the brain child of the unions. Only they would be dumb enough to have fast food workers walk out at Christmas time and put hteir jobs at risk in an illegal walk out. Just shows how desperate the unions are to get more dues for their high ranking officers. This just shows the unions contempt for the rank and file. I have said it before and will say it again there is no burger flipping job worth $30,000 per year. Well done service workers international you are really showing your IQ here!”
“It is political theater. However to resort to using terms such as "t-bagger" reduce the credibility of your post. However you are incorrect about a law unable to be repealed. Yes the Supreme Court ruled on the legality of the law. That means it is constitutional. The law can be repealed by Congress and even should a President veto the repeal, Congress can overide the Presidents veto by a 2/3rds majority vote. Kind of wondering why you seem to think that Republican voters are low intel and low information voters. Once again you just damage the credibility of your post by such low brow comments and thoughts.”
“Very well said ivhadenuff. It is too bad that those who blindly follow what these Dems and Obama say's swallow it all hook line and sinker. Someday they too shall wake up and it will be too late for them. Fanned and faved.”
ivhadenuff on Nov 15, 2013 at 10:22:53
“Thanks shinepres. I am really mad that I have to cover myself for things I wouldn't need insurance for and opted out of to cut the price of my great policy.”
“Yes he will veto anything that would compell him to keep his promise to America. Period means period, final no exceptions. This is simply political cover for those Dems he left out to fend for themselves. Political theater at it's best.”
bluega62 on Nov 15, 2013 at 09:19:56
“You speak of political theater what the H--ell you think Republicans have been playing and continue to play with it's gullible base.Five years of rhetoric about repealing a ACA Law ,that not one of them including t-bagger Ted Cruz or any Right wing Think Tank spokes person gave a single explanation as to what mechanism congress has to legally repeal a law the Supreme Court has rule on,because there is NONE. For the Republcans Low information, low Intel. base out there the cheap sleazy theater you see Republicans performing now is a cruel but deserving joke on their base. The ACA law is not going anywhere, and neither is the President and in spite of all the poster and rhetoric out of Washington by Republicans they know this Law isn't going anywhere even in three years from now when the VETO pen will be out of the president hands, and even with a Republican president House and Senate control God forbid ,the ACA law three years from now will be pretty much as untouchable as Social Security and Medicare is today.”
ivhadenuff on Nov 15, 2013 at 09:13:51
“shrinepres: You wrote: Yes he will veto anything that would compell him to keep his promise to America.
My response: He knew he was going to break his promise as he made a deal with insurance companies during the process of setting up the health care program. So, in order to keep his promise he must allow people to keep the policy they have if they want to and not for one more year.
If you've noticed various Dems are distancing themselves from the health care mess although they pushed for it.
I believe people should be able to keep their own policies if they like them. Mine was a wonderful policy. I'm mad as h_ _ _ now. It's one to believe you may be helping others get insurance but I don't think this thing would have flown if people really knew that they would have to give up the policy they liked.
Wait for a yr. or two down the road when those that thought they were going to have affordable health care find out it's not affordable for them.
As for those with pre-existing conditions, the insurance companies should have been made to cover them. Just like homeowners ins. in hurricane areas. The insurance companies are forced to cover the losses even if the losses are covered by having all ins. companies help out. Car ins., they are high risk options. The options were not discussed before upsetting an entire nation.”
mld1983 on Nov 15, 2013 at 08:48:29
“Wrong. It's to show those people that what they were getting WASN'T INSURANCE. Sure you paid $50 a month...the 'I hope nothing bad happens' plan was always cheap.”
gerrieg on Nov 15, 2013 at 08:41:17
“what do you think the insurance companies do? the number one reason for bankruptsy is cost of health care...I think Obama is trying to keep his word...I also think very few americans will choose to keep these subpar policies and choose ACA ones which have higher standards....we shall see....”
