“We used to not have to show an ID to get on an airplane either but now we do. If we have to show a picture ID to take an hour flight somewhere I don't think it's asking to much to prove who you are to cast your vote to elect the people that make decisions for our country.”

“No one has a Constitutional right to have a driver's license, or to ride in an airplane. Each and every citizen of the United States does have a Constitutionally guaranteed right to vote. Anyone who tries to take that right away from even ONE citizen ought to be put in a dark, dirty, rat-infested hole and never allowed to see the light of day again. Because, if you can take away our right to vote, which of our other rights will you take away next under some cockamamie pretext?”

“Yes this weapon is used to kill at long distance. Not for street violence. That is why in the article above it states " the legislature points to no instance of this class of firearms being used by even a single criminal in New Jersey".
So if it is not being used by criminals why are crying for it to be banned?”
“My two cents......
Either the grave diggers were lazy and didn't dig the grave long enough so the cut off their heads or they thought that the people that died had there heads up their butt while they were alive and decided to place it there after they died.
Makes more sense that vampires to me.”
“being accountable for their mistakes and paying out $8,000 for someone being stranded on a boat ride for 30 minutes should be in completely separate categories. If even half of the personal injuries that these companies get sued for were legitimate they probably wouldn't be complaining but when they have to pay out stupid money for things like the above mentioned. I don't blame them for wanting a cap.”
pupmobile on Jul 14, 2013 at 18:02:14
“The cap would only hurt the people that had a real terrible injury and they are the ones that need it the most. Again, big business always comes out on top. The problem is with the judges that allow frivolous lawsuits. They are the ones that should be capped! A dunce cap comes to mind!! There are no easy answers but the people that really deserve large compensations should be allowed to get them, big business needs to be held accountable plain and simple..”
“So correct me if I am wrong but this article basically says that for the plan to work young adults that don't really use insurance need to buy it and pay more for it. Because the elderly that need it will be inflating the prices because of major use. Also, from my understanding you can purchase on the exchange at anytime so why would a young adult purchase unless they need it. Wait until you get sick and need insurance and then purchase it.
I don't see this program working if it is relying on young adults purchasing something they don't think they need and rarely use at inflated prices.”

“Young Adults Want and Value Health Insurance
One of the major goals of the ACA is to expand coverage to more people, and the June poll finds that health insurance is something the large majority of Americans want and value. Among the public overall, 87 percent say it is “very important” to them personally to have health insurance, 88 percent describe health insurance as “something I need,” and two-thirds (68 percent) say insurance is worth the money it costs.
Even among younger adults – a group that many have speculated may be resistant to getting coverage under the ACA – more than seven in ten rate having health insurance as “very important,” and similar shares feel it is something they need and that it is worth the money. Overall, just a quarter of those ages 18-30 feel they are healthy enough to go without insurance.”
leedan on Jul 14, 2013 at 08:12:09
“More than seven in ten young adults – a special focus of outreach and enrollment efforts – say it is very important to them personally to have insurance. Cost remains the biggest barrier for the uninsured, with four in ten citing the expense of coverage as the main reason they don’t have it”

“A lot of people are blaming the GOP over this but this is a Bull S%@t game that both parties play with the laws that are made all over this country. Between adding something that has nothing to do with the bill or either the House or Senate holding a very good Valid bill hostage until a worthless one is passed on the other side.”
fmaxwell on Jul 14, 2013 at 17:15:15
“I'm fine when what is added to the bill is something that I believe in -- when it is good for the people and the country. This was just another despicable attempt by the GOP the intrude into a woman's right to choose. Now the Democrats will have to try to add legislation to provide funding for schools, pre-natal care for the poor, meals programs for underprivileged kids, etc. Somehow that seems a lot more noble than what the GOP just did.”
“I am pretty sure that you mean he has been the Stongest Aid to Illegal Immigration. He has done everything possible to Stop the Governor of AZ every step of the way anytime her State has tried to prevent Illegal Immigration. From what I have seen she is the only one that is trying to get immigration under control since it effects her state on a daily basis. Obama has done nothing except support illegal immigration because it help him and his party with votes.”
