“I have no doubt that she cooks well, but I seriously don't think she'll last very long in this competition. I cringed watching her slice that lemon. Remember last season when the judges had the contestants cut apples for hours? They were judged on how many they were able to cut and how consistent the slices were. If that sort of challenge will exist in this season, I don't think she'll pass. However, it is never the less amazing that she does what she does!”

“They changed the format and skipped the skill tests this season. I'm pretty sure it's done to accommodate her. It's nice an inspirational and all but that was a shame.”

17 Things Your Flight Attendant Won't Tell You

Commented Jan 2, 2013 at 11:12:08 in Travel

“I never said anything like "don't like your low paying customer service job, then quit". I'm fully aware that if no one did the job then there would be no one there to take care of me. And never did I say that I was self-important, but thank you for taking it to that level...”

17 Things Your Flight Attendant Won't Tell You

“Ok, most of these are funny and feelings that come with any customer service job. However, the fact that you are delaying flights so you can get paid overtime is terrible. In October, I flew from Reno to New York (and then back again a week later). EVERY flight was delayed meaning I had to spend an extra night in Chicago on the way there and an extra night in Denver on the way back. People have connecting flights, conferences to get to, family to get back to, etc. Don't comprise other people's happiness and needs just so you can make a few extra bucks.”

“Do you really think this is what happens normally? Look at the arrival and departure stats, readily available on the DOT website, published monthly. If this was common it would be reflected there, wouldn't it? Instead, what you'll see is that most airlines- regionals, hub and spoke, low cost, whatever variety you prefer- have better numbers than in decades. These comments are so inane. My favorite is the "don't like your low paying customer service job, then quit". Nobody likes a low paying crap job, do we all agree? Well, if everybody quit them then who would be taking care of your self-entitled, self-important self? Show your respect for yourself by acting human to those you deem so unimportant.”

“That's the game that the industry created between labor and management. Maybe if they paid better than "wheels up" timeclock shenanigans they would have a better product to sell us. Until then, they are going to work the job like any of us would...the bottom line being the paycheck.”
