“My life is very good thank you. Why does my life have to suck to not like or want the ACA? Y
Your assumptions above are not based on fact either. The exchange didnt work not because of demand but because its not ready. The exchanges are a disaster and was rolled out way to soon. No good business would have rolled out a product when it wasnt ready. You can count on the govt to do that though.
Secondly, I have looked at the ACA and dont agree with most of it and dont want it for myself or my family. We have a good plan already.”

The people used to have high regard for morals and character but the decline in the family values has led to a lost generation or two that believe in social programs as a way of surviving instead of doing for ones self. People and their communities used to take care of each other. Now they pawn it off on the govt.”

“How is the requirement for medical insurance a "social program"? I can tell you how devastating it would be if a family member of mine suffered a major illness and I had to have my church hold bake sales and my local 7 11 store put a container on the counter to earn the thousands of dollars it would take to pay medical costs. It is NOT the goodness of the community that can resolve the enormity of the medical costs we have in this country. The insurance companies have proven that they are only interested in profits...as are the corporations that employ us. The days of employee based health care are gone.
I am one of the lucky ones...we have great insurance and I know how golden that little card I carry is. How can I not want my fellow Americans to have the same?
This is just wrong that some are opposed to the federal government stepping in to provide a system that will work for everyone...rich and poor alike. Let's join the rest of the developed countries in the world and develop a system that works and doesn't discriminate.”

It simply regulates insurance companies by mandating coverage levels and acceptance and creates a funding mechanism that makes health insurance more affordable to the poor and those on individual policies. It comes from the Heritage Foundation proposal, based on Richard Nixon's original proposal for an employer mandate. It's a Republican plan that's been around for decades and it works.”

“Obamacare is control!
Our govt, through the actions of mostly one party, eyes the American people as sheep needing to be herded through life. This is an abomination. Our Declaration of Independence states that we have "certain unalienable Rights". Among them Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
The declaration says to secure these rights Govts are instituted and derive their power from the governed. That would be us. The People. However, this particular administration feels they are a dictatorship with the power to ignore long established laws and "Rule" the people instead of Govern. No negotiating as sensible men and women should do.
We need to step back and clearly think and see the road in which we are being driven down.
We need to make accountable those that intend to "herd" us through life instead of letting the people make their own lawful decisions for themselves and their families.
We need to stand up for those that cannot stand for themselves but not enable.
We need real Hope and Change. Not artificial change based on deceit and lies.”

Did you scream at Apple when it's website couldn't keep up with iPhone and iPad sales? Did you demand that Apple be put out of business? No, you're just carping about a program you've failed to study and are probably unable to understand. Basically, if your life sucks, it's you, not the ACA.”

“The document you quote was a goodbye to England and the Church of England that had been the oppressor.
If we step back and think clearly as you suggest, we see that the conservatives/religious right would favor a theocracy where rights, freedoms and pursuits of happiness would only be for them and they would call it "religious liberty." This would be the ultimate herding through life with no freedoms of choice.
But low and behold, we have a secular constitution with rights for evryone. Do you think that was an accident?.”

“Let me ask you this. Under our current health care system we (all with insurance) are forced to pay for all the rest that don't. Those 50 million people w/0 ins. wait till they have symptoms, then go to the ER, who cannot legally turn them away and must provide care. When they don't pay their bills the hospital simply bills the ins. company much higher than their actual cost to provide care for those of us with ins. (think $15 for a bandaid). You simply don't understand how the system works and that given the chance Obamacare may well provide a much better, less expensive way of caring for all people. Or are you willing to say to ERs that you can turn away those without health ins.? Wouldn't it be far cheaper to get the person on cheap blood pressure medicine, than to pay for the $200,000 heart attack? Unless you are willing to just let these people die, we are all going to pay, I like the my odds under Obamacare, than the current system. Instead of fighting it, Republicans (who really are being protected by it) should work with the President to make it even better.”

“I think just about everyone agrees the debt limit will need to be raised but to be responsible there needs to be some reduction in spending to mitigate the the results of borrowing even more.
There has to be restraint in our govt or it will undoubtedly lead to very serious economic concerns in the very near future.
Fortunately we do have some in congress fighting for just that; a reduction in spending in return for raising the limit. But the dems want to keep the blank checkbook. Very selfish and irresponsible for the dems to play with our future like that.”

“Get a clue, the debt limit has nothing to do with spending, it only allows the federal government to pay for what it has already spent.
Spending has come down, and the deficit is getting lower. The only reason it is high is because of those in congress that you like passed Medicare D, started two wars, crashed the economy, and cut taxes. Democrats left republicans with a surplus and a 12 year payoff of the debt. Bush left us with debt and an economy that made things worse. Now those republicans that you think are fighting for you want to hurt the economy which will only make the deficit worse.
Please we don't need to hear what you have to say until it makes some sense.”
