“How can any of us even be sure the chemicals were used by Syria? Because of "official" reports, remember Iraq? Please! Even if they did, what makes us so perfect to start another War! Thousands on Huff post among others are saying No to another War! Way more people than 450 or so Congress and Senate are saying no more war!!”

Tr0LL Supreme on Sep 4, 2013 at 07:38:14

“You clearly don't know what a war is.

A war requires two sides fighting.

What exactly is Syria going to do with their anti-ship missiles with a range of less than 100 miles against destroyers firing from nearly 600 miles away?

They will blow up, that is what the Syrians will do.

No Americans will be in danger. That isn't a war. It's a strike by one side.

Get your terms straight if you want to look legit.”

“.85% interest x billions + trillions already borrowed = Americans tax payers can never pay off the debt. I almost never see a call for the Federal Reserve to be abolished, then our government could issue money at 0% to business and the general public. In two years we would be a debt free country with little or no income tax. Simple. Watch it here > http://blog.the-hudson-group.net/learn-about-money-creation-in-our-fractional-reserve-system/

Commented Oct 30, 2010 at 08:46:46 in Business

“Fix is easy, albeit painful in thought of banks CEO's, but very doable. 1. reduce all loans, all loans to current fair market value. This is a gift to the banks in write offs compared to what it would cost to settle in law suits. 2. one percent interest or less on all loans. they just print the stuff any way, really. 3. find new or put people who were illegally foreclosed on back in their home or a new one. 4. get the rule of law back into place so this does not happen again.”

Bankers New Tactic: Blame the Victim

Commented Oct 21, 2010 at 10:47:01 in Business

“Great story!!! What about some solutions? Almost everyone on HP gets it, we are being screwed to say the least. A few do not like like Anonymous in NY and few uneducated HP commentators. So what is the solution? Mostly we want someone to PAY, whether in cash, pain or prison. What will that accomplish, not much if the existing system is not changed. We could ALL live a good and fair life if we just understood the money creation process (not wall street stuff). I am talking about the federal reserve. A private for profit bank that has only one motive, profit, at our expense. Not for the common good of all, not as advertised by the banks. I think this has to get a whole lot worse before people wake up and make things change.”

“The Bank of America statement that most of the foreclosures were due to homeowners being behind at least 18 months. BOA forgets to mention that most of them were working on loan modifications. All banks / pretender lenders will not even consider a loan modification unless they stop paying. Then after getting the run around for 18 months they start the foreclosure process. Now they want us to not worry about the real issues of not holding legal Title on the property and want us all to excuse them for faking it. Please!”

The Secret Big-Money Takeover of America

“When is, and are their any insiders who will stand up for the middle guys? Robert gets it, The the people who comment get it. Is anyone in a position of power going to take a stand. Churchill had another good quote. "All it takes for bad things to happen, is for good people to do nothing". Where are those good people in the right and high places? I know your out there Goliath, or is it Sampson?”

jeremyemilio on Oct 9, 2010 at 10:06:58

“Nope. In fact, very few people get it. People truly think that there is some huge divide between the filthy rich on the right and the filthy rich on the left, as though left leaning billionaires would gladly give up their obscene wealth for the benefit of the many if only they could figure out a way. There is no culture war between left and right. It's a myth, an illusion. The true struggle is the very real class war between the obscenely rich and the rest of us. Any inclination to believe that some billionaire is on your side, and that your real enemy is your neighbour, is a play on your naivete.”

Federal Reserve rules as outline the their own document 'modern money mechanics" does not allow banks to loan their own funds. The funds are provided by the "borrowers" signature and future labor.”

The borrower funds the loan with their signature and future labor. Federal Reserve rules dictate that.”

“You have got to be joking! Anyone that has any sense knows that a recover is not immanent, now or in the near future. The writer must be getting paid to blow more smoke up you know what, trying to get us to believe the government of some other business program is helping. That said my misery index is the lowest in years. Not because of some business index, but because I have learned where true misery comes from and originates, myself, not outside circumstances. It would be nice to see some real signs of a economic recovery, but don't get you hopes up just yet. We have a long road ahead, which I believe will be even better than anyone can imagine.”
