“If he loses it will not be funny for the country, people like you apparently are very happy with the condition of the country. It will hurt the country if McCain and beyond the Palin are elected, if McCain should pass away in office Palin will be president and that will be horrible for the country. So, while you may think it will be funny, its the country who will suffer with someone who admitted that he voted with Bush 90 percent of the time, so we will have a country just like the last 8 years and probably even worse with Palin.”

Obama Slams McCain's Economic Plan: "A Day Late And 101 Million Middle-Class Families Short"

“Umm, many pundits and political scientist have stated that the Bradley effect is already reflected in the polls, many of them believe were it not for race Obama would have a 20 point lead. Although, I do feel the polls will narrow I, like the Obama campaign is looking at the state maps which are more predictive. In the Democratic primaries the polls were extremely accurate except for New Hampshire. Finally, its been almost 20 years since Gov. Bradley ran for governor and we have had a lot of changes the biggest is the young voters who by and large are around blacks and whites so I think it is different now. From what I hear from Chuck Todd of NBC, the people who are saying they are undecided are a good bit of the racial voters. The people who say they will vote for Obama are going too, do not forget the newly registered, and the cell phone folks. none of these people are even counted in polling”

“This is just another example of McCain's poor judgement. Obama and Biden want McCain to bring it up publicly so they can slam him, many posters have commented that McCain told Obama not to tell what you are going to do. Wow, 32 states have already started early voting, go and vote now, you do NOT have to wait if you live in an early voting state”

Instead of focusing on the economy and the 2 wars, and healthcare, and wages he is going to waste time talking about this. Note to McCain: other than your rabid supporters NO ONE CARES”

“ITA, but, most people are expecting something like this. However, Obama did much better in the first debate than previously thought and it was supposed to be McCain's strength. I really do not see why McCain is trusted even in national security, he was wrong about the Iraq War, he was wrong about diplomatic talks, he has been wrong about so many national security issues. Why does not Obama make a commercial about this, All of McCain' s stuff needs to be exposed.”

“I understand how you feel but ask yourself 1 question is Barack Obama fueling the whole "Race issue" NO he is not, he has always resisted bringing up race, its the media who is doing it, do not be deceived. The media is like the kids on the block who enjoy instigating issues. I have always said that what John McCain and Sarah Palin are doing is not b/c of race, and I am black, they did this to John Kerry if it was Hillary we would see the same types of attacks even Hillary said she would be attacked badly if she was the nominee. This is the game that Republicans have played for years b/c by and large they are wrong on the issues and most people do not agree with their theories of helping the rich and everything trickling down to everyone else, so in order to deflect from the fact that they are ideologically on the wrong side they win by baseless charcter attacks, they cast aspersions on their opponent they make them see out of the mainstream from most people. Does it work more for a non-white candidate, I do not know but I will say that the Republicans operate this way and it does not matter if the Democrat is purple”

“I remember that too, it is a different year and the economy was not in the toliot the way it is now, but you are right the polls showed Kerry doing well.

If you recall Bush was able to win Ohio b/c they rallied the evangelicals in Ohio and got them out to vote, Obama and his team already know exactly how Kerry lost and they have learned a big lesson. The whole key to winning is turnout, turnout, if people get out than Obama will win, if there is a low turnout McCain wins, the debate on Wed at this point is totally insignificant in my view, people have made up their minds for the most part its now about getting people out to vote”

He does have a great ground game, we have to work, talk to your neighbors and friends, and people who are leaning. Remind them of Sarah Palin, this always works for me, she is the gift that keeps giving. At any rate, I hope people are not over confident, for those of you reading this vote, vote, vote, volunteer for the campaign even a few hours. It does help. So, no one thinks its over, I do not at all anything can happen.”

“If anyone wants to know about the ACORN issue go to Barackobama.com fight the smears. From what I have learned about this is that some of the ACORN people did not gather voter registration cards and were in some cases dishonest about the voter registration cards. NOW, this is NOt widespread. But, more importantly this has nothing to do with Obama, he did represent them along with the Justice Department a whille ago. But he never organized with them or on behalf of ACORN. As I said, go to the website.”

“The Republicans make a big thing about some easily checked errors and bogus names that LEGALLY have to be submitted to the Secretary of State's offices (no one can toss a submitted registration form- they can only "flag" it as suspicious).

And no one mentions the widespread electoral fraud perpetrated by Republicans .

http://www.stopballotfraud.org/

"In July, Connerly's "Arizona Civil Rights Initiative" submitted over 330,000 signatures to place their anti-equal opportunity Proposition 104 on the Arizona ballot. The pro-equal opportunity coalition Protect Arizona's Freedom (PAF) filed a lawsuit challenging the validity of over 100,000 of those signatures, alleging deceptive and fraudulent signature-gathering tactics. Last week, the secretary of state threw out more than 40 percent of the submitted signatures, leaving Connerly short of the 230,047 signatures required to get on the ballot.

"We're not surprised," said state Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, D. Phoenix, chair of PAF. "We've highlighted time and again the illegal and deceptive signature-gathering tactics used by Connerly's organization and the Georgia National Ballot Access firm to force the initiative on Arizona and other states."National Ballot Access, a signature-gathering firm, was hired by Connerly to circulate petitions in all five of the targeted states. In each state, the firm faced allegations of using similar tactics of fraud and deception to collect signatures for Connerly's initiative."”

“If Acorn worked all day making up fake names, they'd Maybe get 5,000 bad registrations.

They should all be scrutinized, and I'm glad that they are, but in the grand scheme of things, many more voters are being unlawfully stricken, and many more votes were stricken in 2000/2004 when the election was much much closer.

People really can't put things in perspective at all. (If they could, they'd notice the VP on the repub ticket just got dinged for an ethics violation).”

“Keith Olberman has been doing this but, he is the lone voice in the wilderness. I sent an email to many media outlets and demanded that they address this and stop giving it legitimacy by reporting it, Chris Matthews made this the f lead story tonight on Hardball, and, while it is clear that he is exposing it as racist, and hateful the whole issue was given a platform.. In many respects, I think that the majority of people see this for what it is which is a desperate move. This was not a part of their strategy a few months ago until they were trailing in the polls. The only thing that does worry me is that Chris Matthews stated all it takes is a few thousands of low information white uneducated voters to believe this stuff and that could make the difference in the election. I hope he is wrong, I hope the Obama people and I am helping with this too, get the people to turnout very big and if he can get the young, educated, minorities, and all the other people fed up with this I think he will be fine. If Obama wins, the GOP will have to abandon the trash and smash, they are only doing this because it has worked in the past, we must say not this time, not this year.”

the health care issue was the best when he talked about his mother on her death bed having to argue with the insurance companies that was very moving, I almost wanted to cry. I thought he nailed the I do not understand with I do not understand why we went to Iraq when they were not the country that killed so many Americans. “One of the issues that I never hear is that Obama has explained his association with Ayers., he did this during the Clinton debate and here is the truth

a.Ayers was a member of the Weather Underground 40 years ago and he participated in horrible activities when Barack Obama was 8 years old
b. Ayers is NO longer involved in anything like that
c. Obama has denounced Ayers publcly
d. Barack Obama has never been accused of terroristic activiities
e. They are not friends, he is not on the campaign, they sat on a board
f. This is guilt by a very flimsy assocation
g. this is absurd, if I have a person I know who is on a committee with me and I go to their home for one function and 50 years ago they committed a crime than I am part of that crime too. This is how silly this is and hopefully most people will not buy into this b.s”

There is more to come if they continue. The Obama campaign did not want to go negative or throw the first punch but they will throw the last punch Sarah Palin should not have introduced this but its all they have left . Believe me, Obama learned and realize that you cannot ignore these attacks you have to address them and counter punch. I have heard people say he should stay above the fray and not respond, thats a BIG mistake, the reality is that you have to respond.”

“BIG difference between Keating and Ayres!

Keating never bombed the Pentagon or 30 other US locations.

As far as the Keating 5, McCain was fully exonerated from any wrongdoing, as was the honorable John Glenn, former astronaut.

Ayres is unrepentant and says he wishes he would have done more!

Why does Obama continue to lie about how well he knows Ayres?
They served together on a very small board for the Woods Fund.”

“Dear Brooklyn, you are correct, but, the Obama people need to get ahead of this ASAP, I do not think its racist, I think its an attempt to cast Obama as anti-American. Unfortunately, its crap like this that sinks Democrats. I do think that this probably will not work for a few reasons but it could here they go
a. Everyone heard about this before in the primaries and it did not derail Obama so its not really new stuff
b. Obama was 8 yrs old when the weather underground was in existence and from all accounts Willie Ayers is a different person now and Obama is not in any way associated with his past activities
c. Obama has denounced Ayers past and they are not close
d. McCain should have brought this up back in August and Sept and it may be in voters psyche
e. I also think that the economy is so important to most people that this is the main thing but as I said the Obama people should never ever underestimate Republicans and the dirty tricks that they will use”

It's probably too late, but why don't they talk about what they plan to do”

“Scvgal -- I essentially agree with you, but Obama was not derailed among Democratic voters. And as much as I hate it when others sort of clump people into generalities, I think those out there who are not the political junkies we are, who embrace McCain/Palin, and who still look under their beds for Communists, might buy into this crap.
I also hope, in only a perverse kind of way, that the economy continues to be as much of a focus as it is now. I'm not sure many can get their heads around the complexities we are encountering, but they (we) can understand the loss of 160,000 jobs in 30 days -- those affected, and those affected by those affected (all of us, more or less), must take note.
The bottom line for me is that I am terrified by McCain/Palin and their supporters.
Go reality, go truth.”
