“Mr Cruz, you could have volunteered to be the hostage instead....
The idea that the serviceman would rather stay captive indefinitely is absurd. How could a person even think that . .....its not like he was in a state prison. He was probably in a cave and moved around hooded most of the time. He is lucky to be alive.
I can't wait until we get to hear him speak...then he could put all of these senators to shame for the absurd comments.
btw....why should any American be afraid if these guys go back on the battlefield? Let them....there is a Predator drone looking for prey..... and our troops aren't afraid of these guys.”
“Actually religion does not propel terrorism. Terrorism is just an unrecognized military action by enemies of the establishment. Syria calls its rebels terrorists. So does every state. The term "terrorism" enables the establishment to use aggressive action against the terrorists with public support.
What propels terrorism is the lack of education and the lack of love for a fellow human being. Terrorists are really socio-paths with an ideology and no real power to assert that ideology. Religion in some cases provides a justification for the socio-path but its not the cause or the motivation.
9/11 did not happen because of Islam, but because the terrorists felt it was an injustice to have the US in their lands. Islam was their religion and their comfort as they faced their perceived enemy. But they could have had any religion or none at all.... as we see with mass shootings, which are actually acts of terror used to make a point or statement.
I am anti-religious. I wish there were no religions at all. But to blame terrorism on religion is to miss the point.”

“Actually, you'd be very wrong. Religion not only propels terrorism, more humans on this planet have died as the result of religion than by any other cause. That is not a coincidence. You probably also subscribe to the belief that guns don't kill people, people kill people. Now that's what I'd call missing the point. Sorry to disagree.”
“I don't know you Willy but I am sure if I watched and listened to your opponents they would not have nothing positive to say about you. and that would be unfair of me to accept just their view.
Clearly you have not objectively evaluated Obama. Sure he has made mistakes. Sure he makes decisions that you do not understand and you would not agree with. I would like to know if your wife or mother or kids or employees agrees with and understands every decision you make.
The reality is, he did capture Bin Laden. He ended the war in Iraq. He has prevented another 9/11. He was handed an economy in free fall and its now growing again. The stock market is up by 200% from its lowest recession level. Those are just the big things.....
you may disagree with his decisions, his values, his policies.....but the results speaks volumes.....to those who willing hear.
“Ford proved this concept long ago. Pay well, do well. You not only attract the best employees and get to choose from the best employees but all your employees become salespersons and customers who help the brand. The worst enemy is an employee who despises your brand. They will work against you at every turn.
It shows the difference between the southern plantation mentality of the Waltons and the community\family mentality of the NW Coast.”
“I did not know Australia was a socialist state. Wow.
The difference between the US and Australia is you view yourselves as a community of one. Not black\white, red\blue, heartland\elites, left\right..... we are hodgepodge of factions....so everything becomes tribal. The only time we seem to unite is for war...and even that is based on class....the rich fund the war and prosper while the not rich fight the war and struggle to rebuild afterwards.”
“how cheap can people be. 125.00 per game? That's absurd.
This should not even be an issue...it will cost more to litigate this then to pay them better.
We should not celebrate nor defend selfishness and greed. That is what it is. These are pro-teams. They should treat their people better. If we keep thinking like a third world country that will be our destiny.”
“There will always be poor people. Poor is relative. Its not caused by overpopulation. Its caused by lack of education and lack of solidarity. Solidarity is most important because when you have all classes and races working towards a common goal, a better life for all, then you will have education as a priority.
Brazil is just like the US is going to be with the infighting, selfishness and empowering the plutocrats. Our infrastructure will decay and our laws become nothing more than ways to suppress the have nots and assure the safety and comfort of the haves.”
Your logic says, fight racism with racism. History shows that kind of thinking never works. The best weapon against racism is education. Racism is the result of fear. Fear is the result of ignorance. Being racist won't tear down the wall. It will only make it stronger and harder to tear down later.
There are many cases of supremacists who have changed their philosophies once they were befriended by those they once hated. They won't change if you become like them.”
When Walmart learns what Ford learned many years ago. Pay your employees well so they can buy your products.
The Waltons want to enrich themselves, then support the GOP agenda of cutting union power, employee rights, social programs.... and then they wonder why they are losing customers. Its pretty simple. They are starving their market. Slaves make horrible customers and employees.
They have enough money to last 5 lifetimes. Perhaps they can reduce their margins a bit and invest into building a solid brand that is good for employees, customers and yes the owners. Trickle down economics is the basis of all third world countries.”
“Its pretty simple. Quality. Its just like Toyota. Once you establish your brand as quality then people develop trust and loyalty. Costco is also associated with a more upscale buyer, whereas Sams has the cheap feel like a walmart.
That's why Walmart should not get too comfortable. Sams invented the concept of warehouse stores. But Costco is doing better. Walmart can be outdone....Target can get be that if they really tried hard.
You can also look at the parking lots of the stores that neighbor one another. Costco lots are packed full and Sams has room to spare.
Costco can also thank Hollywood. I have heard a few actors say on talk shows they shop at Costco. Never I have I heard them mention Sams. So there is certainly a bias towards Costco as a happening place.
I have memberships to both. But Costco is my preferred store if they sell the same item. Costco employees seem happier. They get benefits...and from what I hear, Costco doesn't layoff employees.”
