“You have no idea who I am or what I do. Fact is, I do a lot of good in the world, and your assumption otherwise is far more arrogant and condescending than anything I've posted here.
But why is it Dittoheads and conservatives in general seem so bothered by literacy? From Rush Limbaugh, who feels threatened by "over-educated white women" to Rick Santorum who thinks wanting your kids to go to college makes you a "snob," it seems the conservative ideal is, the less educated you are, the better.
Personally, if I need something done--be it medical care, designing a bridge, building a highway or a power station or crafting a public policy--I'd prefer it be done by educated people, as opposed to uneducated or poorly educated people. If that makes me an "elitist" so be it.
"Bearded liberal elitism..." LOL!
So I guess in the world of conservatives only men can be educated "elitists?"”

“What is the use. Most of my friends have left this site. No reason that they would not post my reply to you”
“His words were exponentially more offensive than anything Ms. Fluke did or said. Indeed, I can't think of a thing she's done that any reasonable person would find offensive. She stated her opinion, as is her right as an American citizen.
To which Rush Limbaugh, hero and boss of the GOP, replied, "Slut! Prostitute!" and then asked her to post sex videos on line so he could drool over them.
And this is the man Republicans bow down to as their great leader--the true face of the Republican Party.”

“The true face of the republican party?????? Bow down to????
looks to me like the progressive Liberal democrats and the Liberal republicans ( yea, they exist) wants the rest of the country to bow to the liberal way of thinking, and when they don't comply the librals go on attack.
Limbaugh was WRONG, as was Maher, Mathews, Schultz, etc.etc.
Didn't hear or see any foaming from the mouth there. Ms. Fluke should find herself a college that offers what she needs, and can no doubt find a less expensive one.”
“Compared to a fossil like Limbaugh she's quite young indeed.”
rebeccadh on Mar 8, 2012 at 14:42:01
“She is young and wealthy and is attending a top grade college Institution, money isn't the issue, and if it were she could attend a less costly top college institution ( a non Catholic one) .
This is yet another attack on faith and freedom for all in this country, if the libs arn't happy they will make sure no one is happy.”
“Wasn't Rush (and Clear Channel, who runs him) behind the boycott of the Dixie Chicks when they made one, count em one, comment about beloved conservative hero G. W. Bush?
As I recall, Rush and other conservatives called them 'French hens" and other cute names, and tried to destroy their careers.
Where was your outrage then? Or do you only spring to Rush's defense, and ignore all else?
One sided indeed.”
mahckz on Mar 6, 2012 at 18:52:57
“Dixie Chicks? are you serious? But anyway, I do not condone those kind of comments made by anybody, and I am not defending Rush.....Are you defending Bill Mahr, when he called Sara Palin the C word? Where was the media then? Or when congresswoman Maxine Waters said "The tea party can go straight to hell'. Like I said, one sided moral outrage. By the way bill Mahr, donated one million dollars to Obama's PAC.”
“Why stop at health care coverage? Why not a "religious exemption" for property insurance?
"Well, sure, Mr. Blunt, you insured your McMansion with us for a cool million, but see, our owner thinks it's immoral and sacriligious to pay out for 'acts of God.' This IS the Lord's will we're talking about, after all. Now, if someone with a bulldozer had hit your home, okay, but a tornado? I'm afraid it would violate our religious principles to write you a check.
Have a nice day...."”

“I like it. Pat Robertson just said that people should not build homes in the paths of tornadoes. After all, this is god's way of letting off steam (yes he said that), and people should get out of his way.
“Except to the tens of millions of women who use or have used or intend to use prescription contraceptives, either as birth control, or to treat dysmenorrhea or other medical conditions treated through their use. Ms. Fluke intended to testify about a friend who lost an ovary because she couldn't get access to the prescription she needed. Which of course is why the (all male) Republicans who control the committee wouldn't allow her to speak.
I agree though, to Limbaugh and his Dittoheads the whole thing is just a joke. Just like his attacks over the course of three days, and his demand that Ms. Fluke post sex tapes on line for him and other Dittoheads to watch were meant to be "a joke."
The real joke, the true farce, is that this bloviator is actually taken seriously by so many, and has an entire American political party (the Republicans) quaking in their shoes.”
“You do know that this whole debate has been about oral contraceptives, which have to be prescribed by doctors? That's what Ms. Fluke has been talking about, not condoms. You really ought to pay more attention.
But I for one am glad the porn industry is taking precautions to protect its workers. You make this sound like it's a bad thing. You probably think we should all be outraged, right?”
