“Perhaps if consumers weren't so concerned about spending an extra $.50 per article of clothing and bought domestically made goods (that goes for 'Murican & Canadians) these instances would be happening less frquently.
If you're gonna blame the store chain ALSO blame yourselves for demanding cheaper & cheaper goods regardless of country or factory of origin. Assumed responsibility, which many seem to dish out so freely, also is within the purview of the end user! You have the capability to read the label..... use that ability, and the discretionj that goes with it, in your purchasing decisions. Stores only sell what you, the customer, want!”
“I kinda thought that with the weekend, perhaps it would leave several more seconds for such deep thought, more then on, say a weekday that required them to watch American Idol or Dancing with the Stars”
“"It's about the principles" huh? Which principle is he referring to, the principle of keeping a country and it's citizens & fans from the Olympics due to corruption by officials, thus penalizing both the fans and the athletes from the Olympics? Punish the athletes & the citizens for the illegal/immoral acts and/or corruption of the officials?
What kind of a "principle" is that?”
gibby1208 on Dec 7, 2013 at 22:47:15
“So, your alternative is to allow corruprion to thrive in the Olympics.
You must be a republican.”
The right to carry DOESN'T include being judged as to their intentions, idiosyncracies or even (non-certified) paranoia. Just as you have to right to comment (and maybe try to influence) a side on an issue regardless of your own personal idiosyncracies or paranoia (certified or otherwise), the 2nd Amendement, and all others BTW, applies to ALL citizens without regard to their politics or frame of mind.... in theory anyway.”
“So the main question the folks seem to have is: Why would you go into Starbucks, Office Depot etc. carrying your weapon? They seem to think that is the carrier's main intent when he leaves the house, to go to X establishment to carry a gun. Has it ever entered their teeny-weeny little "minds" that perhaps the carrier was going somewhere else and in the process decided he wanted to go into Store X also?
Show a little bit of a thought process here folks....................”

I am afraid that you have set the bar too high for the spoon feed me what to think crowd.”

“Right you are. Don't they understand that such people are so terrified of life that they carry a gun everywhere, all the time? Sheesh!”

“Even if what he said was meant maliciously, it ain't racism folks. His comment was based on the supposed conflict between them due to their religion. Ah yes, religion, the great peacemaker of the world......
They musta seen how well the race card plays over here, figgered they'd try it over there?”
reidgator on Dec 1, 2013 at 10:23:43
“All too often, the "religious differences" are really a smoke screen for other issues. The religious labels are easy to use, yet, the religion has little to do with the conflict. Often the instigators will use religious fervor, or nationalistic fervor, or any ideology to rally support to their cause. Using your logic, you could blame the Hatfield and McCoy feud on the fact that the families has different names. The conflict in Northern Ireland, between the Catholics and Protestants, was entirely political. Most of the combatants was marginally "religious". Most muslims killed in "wars" have been killed by other muslims.”
“I had perfectly fine access to both healthcare AND my own insurance until ObamaCare kicks in and let my insurer (or forced, who knows) drop me as of 1/1/14. Of course I can pick up the plan closest to my old one.... $80 a month more and a deductible more then doubled ($2500 vs. $6,000), what a bargain once O-Care ensured I wouldn't have insurance.
These BHO folks would screw up a 1 car parade!”

“Hmmm... smells like pants are on fire.
You have a serious factual error in your post.
In the interests of encouraging you to learn the facts, I'll leave you to figure it out for yourself.”
“I wasn't overly thrilled about it initially, knowing that there are always a certain percentage that have the capability to turn even the best plan into a total piece of trash by either overdoing it or totally leading it astray. That has been more then re-inforced when looking at what the Patriot Act has devolved into. Granted, it's initial purpose does require an extrememly fine line to toe but that line has been corrupted and become miles wide now that those with the worst of intent, or talents, have gotten their teeth into it and perverted both the intent & actions it originally approved.
W ain't around no more, I wish you folks of the anti-W persuasion would wake up and eventually realize that. ANYTHING being done now, more than 5 years post-W, is way too fresh (despite it's rotten odor), and has the BHO administration's fingerprints all over it, thus disallowing any blame for current actions by the gov't on ANY predecessor from Washington (the original GW) to Bush ll. THat type of kindergartenish finger-pointing is totally irrelevant and no more then childish attempts at waylaying blame for results that the current folks wish hadn't happened. While convenient to some, it's useless in fact and helps display why so many are now fed up with BHO that MIGHT have still taken him at his word previously..... though I'm not one of that crowd.”

“It has nothing to do with being ant-W and everything to do with the anti-O types being complete and utter hypocrites.”
“From what I read, see & hear on TV & radio and hear from friends & relatives living in Yurp, we've become the laughing stock of the international scene for the most part. Along with peeing off some of our former "friends" overseas, we're on the brink of becoming almost powerless (compared to the clout we used to have) in being able to influence (whether thru good graces or buying our friends) events that matter at a decreasing rate.”
“Uh Poopsie, in case ya haven't noticed, it ain't Cruz, Bachmann etc. who are running the show. It's your liberal icons (I'd say liars but that encompasses almost 99% of the DC crowd anyway) who are in power these days and are pulling these latest little "raids" on the Constitution.
Maybe we're lucky that Senor Snowden reared his head as the "Most transparent Admininstration in history" likely wouldn't be letting the light of day shine onto their little escapades they justify by using the "national security" card for everything they do.
They give new meaning to the definition of hypocrite.”
jonathan 12 on Nov 27, 2013 at 10:42:24
“Both have had presidential aspirations.
And correct me if I am wrong but didn't Bachmann sit on the intelligence committee?
Oh I forgot, the President is the only one involved.
MY point was discussing trusting our officials, and they are two examples of people who cannot be trusted with this information, which is why it should not be gathered without due cause. That was it.
I agree with you in part though, 99% of the DC crowd cannot be trusted.l And I also agree we are lucky the degree they were doing it was brought out. Not that I already did not suspect it.”
“Isn't it "funny" how the liberal administration that has justified the degradation of the formerly great USA by justifying overturning any & all morals that some hold dear is using a "lack" of morals by others as a weapon against them?
Not saying they're right or wrong, guess the shifting sands they use as a basis for so many of their actions is still shifting and who knows which way. The Rovian/ Nixonian methods being used by the BHO admin. serve to show how hypocritical they really are.
Do what I say, not as I do.”
Archer Blake on Nov 27, 2013 at 10:35:51
“You do realize all of this started under W, right? It's called the Patriot Act...were you outraged then? Otherwise your words ring hollow...”

“Sorry man. This admin is not liberal. I wish it was. Me no like Obama either. But for not being liberal. He really has fooled us all.”
jackjon on Nov 27, 2013 at 10:31:36
“You obviously live with blinders on. Get outside the US and it's clear our standing has improved leaps and bounds over the last administration, actually, we always have better international relations when a liberal is in the White House. Liberals help us to live up to our creed, while conservatives work to destroy it.”

“I'm going by what I've read about TV productions and the stated reasons the networks go for the "reality" type stuff vs. scripted shows with actors demanding more bucks each year. Wouldn't know if one's better than the other as I don't partake of either show.... not up my entertainment alley, so to speak.”
“I realize I don't get out much but how come I've only heard of 2 of the ...."stars" ... on Dancing with the Stars?
I guess the American Idol, Dancing with the Stars generation wouldn't have as much of a "working knowledge" of Bill, preferring the other unknowns that have emerged from their generation of..... Stars(?).”

“It's not a generational thing, it's the fact that he's the weaker dancer of the lot. If it was simply about who knew who on the show he'd have been gone ages ago. Valerie Harper, Leah Remini, Bill Nye, and Elizabeth Berkley are very popular but Bill outlasted them. He also outlasted some much better dancers like Berkley, Snooki, and Christina Milian, who if this was a generational thing would have outlasted him. People genuinely LIKE Bill, and that's why he lasted so long. However against these 3 he hasn't a chance.
He SHOULD have gone ages ago due to the fact that he just isn't that talented a dancer, however, as a longtime fan of his, I'm not upset that he lasted. It however isn't a loss for the show as 2 of the remaining are very good, and one is much improved and does well.”

“Apparently you've never driven a vehicle with a higher profile than a wheelbarrow before? The old VW bugs were gawd-awful in the wind, a bus or truck can be really goosy also. I've had high gusts move me over 1/2 a lane before in a truck weighing over 80K lbs.”
