“Why don't you open your eyes? Cities in Michigan are being taken over by Muslims and the beginnings of Sharia law is taking hold. In France, home to 13 million Muslims, the government no longer control the densely-populated, predominantly Muslim ghettos that encircle most major French cities and where the French police seldom patrol. Anyone who thinks that a religious/political philosophy that does not have respect for any other religion or people but their own is a fool.”

“Which cities in Michigan? And unless they have found a way around the first amendment, I find it hard to believe that Sharia law is "taking hold".

As for France, you have merely stated that there are a lot of Muslim people there...which doesn't say much. The fact that you feel that they need to be monitored says a lot about your own paranoia though.”

“OK, we all condemn violence, and now what. Since I don't know anyone personally who doesn't condemn violence and specifically terrorism, I would have to say this is probably one of the silliest solutions yet. "And perhaps some of them do support terrorism against the West, but it would be a completely illogical leap to say that all of them do". Who says they all do? Are you completely oblivious to the fact that there are enough that do support terrorism that it is unsafe to allow any more over here and to clamp down severely on those over here who engage in any anti-American activity.
I have been to a Muslim country and have seen the contempt that they have for
Christians. It's time for our leaders to take a tough stand against terrorism and to realize that there are too many countries in the world that are so violent that, in most cases, there is no room for them here.”

j lasoul on Apr 21, 2013 at 14:41:58

“Those who are calling for American Muslims to condemn these attacks (despite already having done so) are those who assume that all Muslims must have anti-American sentiments is not explicitly stated otherwise.

I have seen no evidence that supports the idea that a significant number of Muslims in America are radical in their beliefs. To adopt an unwarranted attitude of suspicion towards the entire community because of the actions of a VERY small minority and to treat them as collectively guilty is simply wrong.”

“Not anti-choice, just "anti-baby killing". A woman has the same pro-choice rights as men. Everything in life, except being born and dying is a choice, The pro baby killing advocates fool no one except gullible women by calling it "pro-choice". It's a shame that the militant feminists have been able to convince so many women that the essence of being a woman is to be able to have the right to kill an unborn child and any woman who differs from this position is treated like a traitor. Maybe women should use their "choice" to not have babies they don't want.”

Our elected officials are not put into office to ram their religious beliefs down anyones's throat. We have a separation of church and state in this country. This welfare mentlaity has created a new class of lazy worthless adults who relish at being unemployed and receiving foodstamps and other Welfare benefits, as they do much better doing nothing, than most hard working citizens do who do not have anything near that amount of free benefits.

Obama Administration Urges Supreme Court To Strike Down DOMA

“I didn't even mention religion. Anyone who thinks the curiosity of children would not demand some kind of explanation is very naive and obviously has no children. This explanation would have to become more detailed as they grew older otherwise misinformation that they obtain from friends and classmates would probably take place. Besides, religion is a belief which might lead you to live a certain lifestyle but it is not in itself a lifestyle. There are many religions and the lifestyles of each can be totally different. In my opinion, your comparing religion to a gay lifestyle is ridiculous.”

“Despite what the gay community would have us believe, every valid study that I have seen shows that gays represent less than 5% of the population. In my opinion, gay rights is only an extremely important battle to those who are gay and maybe their close relatives. The ultimate goal of the gay movement is to promote their way of life as equal to any other. I, personally wouldn't want to have to try to explain to our children the gay lifestyle and their way of expressing love. I say "live and let live" but don't want to have to force the explanation of this lifestyle down the throats of our children. I guess the next thing that Obama will say is that he has a "mandate" by the voters to do what he is doing.”

“I personally feel strongly against religious "lifestyle, but I respect their freedom to worship and chose whoever they think is worthy to be their spiritual guide. Therefore, I expect, as a fair trade, the same level of respect toward any other "lifestyle," as long as that lifestyle does not violate the law. Right now, I see "forced explanation" coming only from the religious side.”

If I was wealthy, why would I want any of my money wasted on companies like Solyndra ($500 plus million down the toilet). If both sides in Congress can't do the job, why don't we get a panel of some of the most savvy businessmen in the U.S. to look at all spending by the government and do away with all waste. Then present to Congress with orders that they must act on the list. If the Constitution doesn't allow this, then amend it. Do away with all Solyndras, poop studies, food stamps for junk & deli food, useless conferences for government employees, robotic squirrels, bridges and trains to nowhere, etc, etc. When we cut out all the waste, then talk about raising taxes, if need be.”

“This scam is becoming routine. CEO's and their cronies plunder their companies and shareholders and make hundreds of millions at the expense of shareholders. Congress investigates. CEO's and cronies plead ignorance and spend a few million for best attorneys in the world. Congress huffs and puffs, feigns anger but finally conclude that you can't convict because of ignorance. Obama, when questioned, states that nothing can be done and that you can't send a person to prison for making poor business decisions and nothing illegal was proven.

This criminal activity will continue until you take away the incentive. If there isn't a law that says that the head person in charge cannot obscenely profit from, at best, stupid decisions that ruin thousands of lives, then make one. If constitutionalists, otherwise known as attorneys & politicians, says this is against the constitution, then amend the document. The billions of personal wealth that these CEO's & cronies have should be put at stake in these situations.”

“The immigration policies -- yes. This administration -- no.

This family stayed in the U.S. as refugees. Yet the parents (the mother after having been caught stealing, then failing to appear in court), returned to the very same area from which they had apparently fled in fear for their lives, despite the area now being far more volatile than it was when they left.

Indeed, immigration in the U.S., needs an overhaul. To top it all off, the family lived on the backs of taxpayers for a great deal of time, until the older brother found a wife to support him and the younger brother apparently sold pot to support himself.”

A quick check shows that the definition of normal is " regular - standard - ordinary - common - usual". Since less than 5% of the population is gay and therefore more than 95% of the population do not have the lifestyle and sexual preferences of gays, I would think most "normal" people would consider that the gay lifestyle is abnormal by definition.”
