“Obama should have Rep. Maxine Waters or Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee as a running mate. Any objections? Specific reasons?”

Supreme Court Health Care Decision Preserves Biggest Expansion Of Coverage In 45 Years

“Look carefully at these so-called real people: Three of them are obese. Their obesity will lead to much higher healthcare costs. I have some self control and am of normal body weight. I suppose than makes me not a real person. In any case, I will do what I can to not subsidize their excessive healthcare costs.”

cleokaftan on Jun 29, 2012 at 02:47:57

“But the problem they are addressing is the boy's eye which in no way would or could be caused by obesity and despite your obviously trained opinion, I don't know that you can say the mother is obese. And why would you deny insurance to a child regardless of his lacking the self control you apparently have in spades?”

KisaCat on Jun 29, 2012 at 02:43:45

“Some people are obese, and some are not. Some people smoke and many don't. But regardless more people will get healthier and lose some weight and quit smoking and drinking and on and on because they can see a doctor and get guidance and get well. And lets be honest, WAY more of your tax dollars are being spent on the military industrial complex which maims and kills innocent people so we can take their country's natural resources, which is far more of a travesty that is grossly unfair than tax dollars being spent in our own country to directly help the people who pay these taxes stay healthy.”

jancf on Jun 29, 2012 at 01:25:20

“Preventative care is a basic part of this law. That's the kind of thing which helps prevent obesity on the first place. Try thinking long-term.”

pcflamingo on Jun 29, 2012 at 01:09:55

“The CHILD had a pre-existing eye condition that made HIM ineligible for health insurance prior to "Obamacare". Reading comprehension fail.

Wait, wait, don't tell me. You're a compassionate "christian".”

“So is most of America including you probably.”

Cilento on Jun 29, 2012 at 00:39:13

“It's this type of moronic thinking that is holding this country back. It's this kind of ideology that would destroy our country, rather than support democracy. Fortunately this loud minority of fools is being exposed everyday to what their demented goals will do to America.”

uhavenoface on Jun 29, 2012 at 00:38:39

“good news! the fact that they now have better access to preventative care means that they can be more well-informed by their doctor about how to reduce their weight and about the long-term risks for them and their children. moreover, they will have more funds available to spend on healthier food!

on the other hand, without this healthcare bill, they would've languished in obesity until diabetes required us to chop off their feet, also at your expense.

so, which would you rather help pay for? a doctor's check-up or a double amputation?”

iworshipthedoggod on Jun 29, 2012 at 00:38:13

“you are judgy and uppity, everyone makes bad choices, get over it.”

niceshoes60 on Jun 29, 2012 at 00:29:53

“Do what you can, you still subsidize people without coverage - it's the way the system currently works.”

“The quote is not witty or wise, nor should it be regarded as an expression of an acceptable standard. It does describe the sorry lives of some people.

I have been in a great marriage for over 30 years. That is good, but hardly remarkable. I know a number of long-married couples.”
