“Thank you very much. I know. That's exactly what he told me.
No, he isn't. He is a newer neighbor and younger. I'd say early 30's or so. He always tries to show off or out do other neighbors in a lot of things. Cars, yard work, parties etc. In the past 6 months I have showed him I can do what my father did and more.
Oh that's so sad. I'm sorry. At least you went over and spoke with her husband. That is what counts.”
“Men think they are privileged. Its the testosterone; they need to feel on top. I've seen plenty of women out-do men on many occasions. My father recently passed away and one of my neighbors saw me tearing up my front yard to put new grass and he walked over to me and said "Why isn't your father doing that? Do you even know what you're doing?" I just continued ripping up the grass and said "My father passed away and I don't need a man to do yard work. My father showed me what to do. This doesn't have to be only a mans job." He scoffed and walked away. Women are equal to men. It's the closed minded ones who don't see that.”

“Vanessa, I'm sorry for your loss. I was close to my own father and he taught me how to do many things around the house. I use power tools, hammer, saw, etc, thanks to him. The gift your dad gave you will be with you every time you use it...and so will he.
Your neighbor is a heel and a misogynistic pig, not to mention a chauvinist. I'd say that he's not plugged in to the neighborhood news but sometimes things happen in neighborhoods and not everyone gets the update. My neighbor passed away several years ago and I failed to hear about it. Jackie was a lovely lady and a wonderful neighbor.
As soon as I got the word I went over and talked with her husband. Vern continues to wash and wax her car every week. I knew she hadn't been very well but I didn't know she passed. I would have attended Jackie's funeral. We've been neighbors for 30+ years.”

“I used to eat these as a kid myself. But I went outside and played and played and played. Now I settle for a cup of coffee/tea and a piece of fruit in the morning. Sometimes a bowl of granola or some rice crispies cereal. Too much sugar is a no-no.”
“A giant wall of roses is the best you could do? That is by far the weirdest thing and it doesn't even look that pretty. Well, it's Kanye so I shouldn't be surprised. I bet Kim thought he even made it himself!”
“It could be a long time before we have all of humanity in a pile again. We shouldn't waste this opportunity. We'll just have to let one guy/girl run up to the missile silo and push the red button. It's kinda like how uncle steve never gets to be in the family photo because somebody has to work the camera. Except, in this case, obviously we'd want uncle steve in the pile.”
“And no one did anything to help this poor boy. That is absolutely sickening. All who knew what was happening should be charged with something. Accessory to murder, anything. This boy could've been helped. His death could've been prevented. He could have had a long beautiful life...”
“I guess that is true. But every zoo I've ever been to, those poor things look miserable as hell and hardly ever move. It just doesn't seem right to me. There has to be other alternatives so they don't seem miserable.”

“The answer is nature reserves... unfortunately those are incredibly hard to monitor because they actually are the right size for prides of lions, a.k.a. massive, and that makes it hard to keep track of what/who goes in and out. That's what all the work needs to be put into, making them proper safe havens for animals.
p.s. sorry for getting so in your face about it... touchy subject”

“Spend some time over in Africa watching the few lions remaining in the wild. They sleep more than 20 hours a day (almost the entirety of daylight hours) and hardly ever move. If humans would stop poaching them and destroying their habitat and prey species then maybe the conversation could be different.”
“Reading these comments about everyone hating on the police officers; Shaking my head! Yes, police nowadays do abuse their power and seem to me spiraling out of control, BUT there are still good ones out there and these are the good ones. Open your eyes and see, people! This was something to laugh about and no harm was done. Why look so deep into something that caused no harm? Good grief!”
