Last Friday, I was driving my daughters to school.

As we reached the highway, we could see that the sun was rising so beautifully ahead.

With it's bright orange hue glowing so gently and majestically, it peered quietly between two gigantic clouds, layering the bluish grey sky.

It was such a lovely sight and I felt intensely connected to all of nature at that moment.

I felt as if the sun was speaking to me, greeting me, and smiling down ever so gently at me.

I realized at that moment how pure, how authentic, how loving and how caring, the sun truly is.

Every morning of every day, without a doubt and without exception, it rises and shines over us, giving us light and warmth, illuminating all that our eyes can see.

It allows us to live each day with its love, care, and compassion, given to us generously, without exception, bias or exclusion.

In essence though, the sun always shines.

It never really stops shining -- our days and nights are only our perceived realities.

As the earth revolves around the sun
spinning on its own axis
those of us who are on the side of the sun
will see the light of day and feel the security
the warmth and the glow in our lives.

For those of us who are facing the other way
we live in darkness
in the night
where we cannot see or feel
the sun's love, warmth, compassion
or it's embrace.

The truth is - the sun is still there shining in the sky.

It has not left nor abandoned us at all.

It is just our limited temporary view, that makes us think otherwise.

Life is also just as such.

We judge our days and our nights
our brightest moments and our darkest hours
based on our own perceptions
how 'we' view the world,
from our viewpoint of the same world.

The world is the same.

The earth is the same.

The reality is that
just as the earth is in constant rotation on it's own axis
all our perceived problems
all our emotions both good and bad
are also in constant flux.

Nothing stays the same and nothing is permanent.

Only when we see life in this true reality, and learn to view things from different perspectives open-mindedly, can we understand, accept and find genuine happiness in our lives.

As the sun rises high and later sets in our horizon everyday, our life journey will always have it's momentary ups and downs.

However, if we would just allow our kind inner loving heart to always shine brightly,
as does the sun, no matter which way we are facing, we will always be prepared
for the spectacular 'view' ahead!
