INT. BEDROOM - EVENING

(Light turns on; REVEAL Bob Hartley from The Bob Newhart Show)

Bob: Honey--wake up. You won't believe the dream I just had.

(REVEAL Emily Hartley.)

Emily: All right, Bob. What is it?

Bob: For the last sixteen months, Donald Trump was running for President of the United States.

Emily: The rich guy from The Apprentice, with the hair?

Bob: He was the Republican nominee!

Emily: The Republicans had no one else to choose from as their candidate?

Bob: Yes! And he kept saying stupid things--incredibly stupid things--but the stupider they got, the more people loved him.

Emily: That's great, Bob.

Bob: And Hillary Clinton was running against him.

Emily: Hillary Clinton? The Democrats had no one else to choose from as their candidate?

Bob: Exactly. Nothing made sense! Clinton used a private server for her emails. And all these women said Trump sexually assaulted them. And this thing called WikiLeaks kept releasing documents about Clinton that they hacked from Democrats' computers and no one cared. And the Russians might have been involved. And then, a week before the election, the FBI director said there was an investigation about the emails of some disgraced Congressman who had sent pictures of his penis to young girls and somehow it was related to Clinton, but there was no proof. Oh, also--the Cubs won the World Series.

Emily: Okay, Bob, that settles it--no more C-SPAN before you go to bed.

Bob: All right. Good night, Emily.

(Emily goes back to sleep; Bob uses remote to turn on TV.)

Voice-over, from TV: My fellow Americans. I'm President Larry. This is my Vice-President Darryl. And this is my other Vice-President Darryl.

Bob: It's good things are normal again.
