Make sure that funds for Katrina-related charities will actually get into peoples' hands.

If I can echo what Harry Shearer wrote today, precious little $$$ has actually reached the hands of those in the Gulf Coast who need help rebuilding their lives.

I read in your press release that funds raised will go to Katrina-related charities. I understand the need for oversight and accountability. But be vigilant. Make sure that funds will actually get into peoples' hands. Make sure that $$$ raised will do more than pay overheads and salaries. Demand value for each dollar given. Don't let gallons and gallons go into the charities' water towers just so they can trickle out help one drop at a time.
